While more information will be forthcoming, this I can answer for you now. The adventure "A Day Late, A Shilling Short" includes pre-generated character information, so the GM can have the characters ready for play and everyone can dive into the action more quickly.
The adventure also includes a GM "setup walkthrough" to point out key rules they'll want to become familiar with, how to prepare for a demo, what they'll want to have on hand, and so on. The goal is that the adventure is not just an introduction for the players who will be participating with a PC, but for the GM, as well.

After reading this I got only one question. Jay please anser us will we see the demo adventure on the FFG page as a pdf for download?

  2. HiJay, thanks for all the hard work that You and all folks on the FFG are doing!I hope that WFRP3 will be a huge seccess, for me the game looks impresive and has a big potencial. I can't wait for the release.

... putting the finishing touches on Project Thunderbolt, it's been extremely busy -- and productive. It was a close call, but we were able to end the week with a bang and post not one, not two, but THREE Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay updates before the weekend.

O, finishing touches on Project Thunderbolt, You say? Hmm sound interesting. I wouldn't be suprised if the little box with "?" symbol on the front page would be Project Thunderbolt. ;) Now that would be a news.

yeah and the fact that they can give out copies already tells us one thing....they have the game....its ready boys and girls.....its ready....and so are we!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, it ready I also think it is. We should write to FFG a letter so they would release it sooner the 30th november, I can't wait to buy it.

    Please FFG release it now.

I've said this again and again. Roleplaying games are about story, not mechanics. If you have a good GM and good Players, the game will be fun. If you can't tell a good story with these tools (or any other tools) I have to question they quality of your gaming environment or, well... perhaps you really did pick the right name for yourself.

I agre in 100%, a good Gm makes all the best of the game. As a GM myself I can't wait to try all those tools on my sessions. Can't wait for the release of the game, I'm counting days.

  5. The pics and graphics form the game are looking amazing - specialy if they all are painted by Jesper Ejsing. I love his work and i hope that someday FFG will anounce an artbook with all his graphics from FFG games.

  6. I think that Runebound is fun but old. I'm very exited about Runewars and I will not cry when they close down the line of Runebound.

i think it will be better for FFg and players when the only titles played in the world of terrinoth would be Descent nad Runewars. When I have to chose I wpould buy Runewars instead of Runebound.

All I can say at this point is "stay tuned." As more designer diaries are posted, more of these questions are being addressed. And additional details will be coming the closer we get to the official launch and release of the core set.

One question I can comment on with this is that there are currently no plans for a separate Collector's Edition. Players will already have their hands full (literally) with the core set it's a mammoth boxed set. The box is is approximately 4.5" x 9.25" x 11.5" and weighs approximately 6.5 pounds.

    Cheers,

    Jay

Wow, thanks for this news. The box will be in normal size like I can see but it will be heavy (with lots of goods). Can't wait for the release date.

  8. Now, looking tough the net I found myself o Diablo 3 site and then I got a brilliant idea.  Why FFG would not do a Diablo board game? They have the rights to Starcraft and Warcraft so why not Diablo? This would be a bestseller. There are many fans of board games and the Diablo title.

This should be something big like a crossover of Descent and Middle-earth Quest with elements from a RPG games. So You would have Exp points and so on. A game from 2 to 5 or 6 players. With a amazing huge map, minis, tokens and all the great extra stuff. With lots of fluff and more. Now I think this would be a huge sucess. And one of the best titles in FFG library.

Or they could do a RPG game or bettes bought.
