I've briefly considered converting Lure of the Liche Lord, but I think it might be too much trouble to beef up the characters enough for them to survive... I might just break down and run that first book of the EW again... That's true, I heard about "project Thunderbolt" also. It was mentioned in one of the designers dairies. So after I will get my hand on Core set and toolkit I will wait for the release of Thunderbolt. Just like NezziR - I was recemtly working on a scenario so I can play many hours befor the Thunderbolt comes out.
  2. It's great to hear that the game is so huge and so good to play. I can't wait to see it and play it. Can't wait to have it - I'm counting days.
  3. NezziR said: ffgfan said: 33 creatures in the bestiary - that satysfing me for the start, in future there will be more I hope. w00t! Thanks for the career info. There's a lot more info on each creature too. Each category contains three creatures of similar type. Each category is a two page spread. So, not only does it look great, it has a lot of meat. I base on that what Dvang sayed, but if theres more like You say that great news. There's never too much monsters and options.
  4. Today I heard from my FLGS that they will not run a demo becouse they did not get the core set on time. Maybe in the next weekend as soon as the core set comes. So please FFG publish the demo adventure. I'm not putting to in to it but it just like this: I'ma a huge fan of WFRP and I would like to have all what comes to it. So I would like to have the demo adventure as well. I think that I'm not the only one who want to see it. So please FFG publish the A Day Late, a Shiling Short scenario on the page.
  5. Emirikol said: Just FYI in case one of you get's a wild hair when you get a copy: 1) The game needs an index right away 2) There needs to be a quick summary of the little rule things that matter (there's 'some fluff and I don't like having to underline stuff in the book). jh I think that a nice GM Toolkit with a GM Screen would do the trick. Maybe in the coming weeks will here something about it.
  6. I haven't found so I will write it, there are some more carrers in the AdventuresToolkit. Besides that what what was writen: Dockhand, Dwarf Ironbreaker, High Elf Sword Master, Wood Elf Wardancer and Ratcatcher with his small but viscious dog. Ther are: Scribe Pitfighter So there are only 3 more that we don't know yet. With this carrer sheet collecting thing - I don't know if it's good. I will keep to this rule till one/two of my players will want to have the same carrer. 33 creatures in the bestiary - that satysfing me for the start, in future there will be more I hope. I think that the core set if just a start, so there are more basic carrers then advace it racional. If You play more then two sessions a week than You must be unimployed. Everybody that works knows that it's hard to find time for a game befor the weekend. I think that I will have a lot of fun playing the new WFRP for many years. And I can't wait to get my hands on it. Still I'm waiting for FFG to publish the demo adventure: A Day Late, A Shiling Short.
  7. HoloDante said: hi, as i am living in austria, my flgs is not participating in the emporer's decree event :-( it is very important to me that i have a short adventure to play for my new players, to get the feel of the system and to be able to decide upon which careers to choose. my point being: is the demo adventure going to be downloadable after the event? so i have something to play right out of the box except the adventure included in the core set? greets alex That's exactly what I was talking about. Many fans of the system from many countries won't get the chance of playing WFRP3 at Emperors Decree becouse there FLGS hasn't ordered the copy of the system. That's the reason why FFG should publish the demo adventure A Day Late, a Shillint Short as a downloadable pdf on the site. Please FFG make it a free pdf on WFRP Support site!
  8. Thanks Sunatet, now many people that won't get a chance to be at Emperors Decree can roll some dice. Now only if A Day Late,a Shilling Short demo adventure would be avaliable for download - they could play it and try WFRP3 for free at thier homes.
  9. ynnen said: As the release of the Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay Core Set draws closer, the current plans are to eventually make A Day Late, a Shilling Short available for download. However, physical copies of the demo adventure have been furnished to stores participating in the Emperor's Decree event, and more will be made available soon. I'd encourage folks to contact their local store to learn more. Physical copies are not everything, Many people won't have the oportunity to see WFRP3 at Emperor Decree and enev play it. The demo adventure as a avaliable for download pdf would be a very good thing. Many players could see some more from the game. Please FFG publish the A Day Late, a Shilling Short adventure as a pdf for download. Is there a easier way how can players get the demo adventure then on FFG site?
  10. Mal Reynolds - You're not the only one who wants to play this game as fast as it's possible. In America they will have it fast and we in Europe must wait - oh I hate waiting. I want this game!
  11. That's good to know that a experienced GM will have no problem to run this demo in very short time.
  12. Necrozius said: Who is this RPG Pundit guy and why should I care what he posts on his personal blog? Thank You Necrozius for that - in short words You said that what I wanted to wrote. Who is this RPG Pundit? On personal blogs everybody could write down what he wants. Even I could make a blog and write on it that I want. Especialy if someone is not happy about publishing by FFG a new edition of WFRP he is writening down many words of critics. I know some people that said that they don't like it and say that the mechanics if terrible even when they haven't played the game or even sean it. Some poeple only want to write, sorry for hard words, "bull ****" and rumors becouse they don't have enought argument. I said it once and I will repeat myself - don't like it don't buy it but still try it. Only after playing something and trying it You can say that it's not that what You are looking for. But getting back to the title of this post - only official news from big and truthsed companys/people count. Only official news from someone who is close to this are truth. Remember when Graham McNeill wrote on his blog about playing WFRP3 - this is a good source of information. This guy was really close to the source and someone who is calling himself RPG Pundit is who? Nobody.
  13. I have asked the some question but still haven't got the anwser. Maybe JL will anser if he has time.
  14. This news is bad but still it's not official. And that makes it not worth my etencion. The autor doesn't now who said it and when, he doesn't even say in what context it all was. So in my opinion everybody who doesn't like the FFG games could said it - everyone who doesn't like that what they done with WFRP could said it, even everyone whoes games are not that good as FFG games could said this rumor only to scare people of from FFG games and especialy WFRP3. I would wait for the official FFG news about it. The economy in the world is not that good as it used to be but still the games are selling. About Rouge Trader - I haven't buy it. It was not that interesting for me like DH, but I played it. For me RT could be a good suplement for DH and not another line. About WFRp 3rd edition - for my all that changes that they made are good. They are a step to the future of RPG games. Maybe it looks a little bit like a board game with all those cards, custom dice and so on. But still it is Warhammer in completly new look. I will buy it, I will try it and I will play it for many years.
  15. I got a question to Hay little and it would be nice if He could anwser: will the demo adventure "A Day Late, A Shilling Short" be avaliable for download after the event?
  16. Some times ago someone was talking about 5th November, then there was 30th November. So what is the corect release date for this? I would like to know will i get it before Christmas? The shiping to Europe takes some time and it's not a 10 day shipping it comes sometimes to a month. So when?
  17. @Erik Bauer Yes, everybody has his own taste and his opinion. Some people like the cards some don't. I know some people that said that 2ed was 'crap' and they are still playing 1ed. Not everyone must like the 3ed. My pint is that I think that everyone should reserve their final judgment to the release. Indeed, the title really can be assessed only after You play it.
  18. 1) yes and I played it many years befor 2ed has showed up. I still have my copy of the rulebook 2) yes 3) I will get my copy of the core set as soon as it will be avaliable. Can't wait to buy it and try it. Still I would like to see the demo adventure on the net, to play it with my friend that will not have the oportunity to be at Emperors decree. Please Jay, give as the demo adventure on the support page.
  19. I don't think that WFRP is a niche product, there are many players to who this system is the best. I grew up on this sytem, it was my first that I played and begun to play RPG. I don't think that i'm the only one. I would say that Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay is one of the milestones in RPG games and one of the best selling fantasy worlds - this is definitely not a niche product.
  20. Bruenor said: Yes, everything whih is said is right. The intention of my post, was to find out if FFG did the homeworks with the setting. That the PCs kill each other was only to get some posts in this thread. In every other setting i have no problems with elf s and dwarfs in one group, but the Old World is a little bit different. After all they fought a long and unforgiven war against each other. This should be mentioned and roleplayed accordingly. That's true, in my gaming group i had sometimes that probmelm with dwarf and elf in one group. I can't say there wasn't any problems, sometimes PC characters want to kill eachother and argue with eachother but still they can make a good team. That's what makes warhammer sessions so special.
  21. Poe said: Sorry for running off on a tangent there... er... I'm looking forward to the PDF version of the scenario! Good to know that I'm not the only one waiting for this.
  22. Great news, thanks for the spilers Jay! Can't wait to see the game, will we see the demo adventure on the page after the event?
  23. Great work - this really could be helpfull sometimes. It's the first fan made material for WFRP 3. Nice!
  24. Good to now the size of cards, now I can buy me some more protect deck for my presious cards.
  25. I think that I will start with the demo adventure "A Day Late, A Shilling Short," if we will see it as a pdf for download or with the adventure included in core set. After that I will run a campain that starts in World Edge Mountains or Grey Mountains about lost Dwarf strongholds. But lately i was also wondering about a campain near the Sea (Sea of Claws or Sea of Chaos) with ships and Druchii (Dark Elves). I think that only after reading all the books from core set I will decide.
