Yes, I tried it in the 1st edition. I was not such a succes as I touhgt it could be. I just made a psionic for a friend who really wanted to play it. But I don't think that they are good in WFRP setting It' better not use psionics just think about a chaos mutation that gives a telekinesis powers it's far much better.

This event sounds really interesting but I'm in Europe and this is a problem. I can hope only that all the news from this event will be published on the FFG site right after the event. Specialy I'm waiting for the news about the future of the system and the next supplement. The new campain that will be shown in a preview on this event is one of the hottest things I want to hear about.

You should try to find some new players or try to show your players what they are missing. I got aproblem in other terms - my players don't have so much time to play so I'm playeing WFRP 3rd not so offten like I would like to. And that is sad.

What happened to "Gathering Storm"?
ffgfan replied to limelight's topic in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay
now this is sad news, I was hoping to get it befor Eastern but it looks like it will be great if GM Toolkit will be in Europe befor it. -
Beastman use the Dark Tongue with some dark runes. Don't mistake it with the Dark Tongue used by Chaos Maruders - it's a little bit something else. Skaven used Queekish - skaven tongue. Humans use - Reikspiel (Empire), Bretonian (Bretonia), Estalian (Estalia), Tilean (Tilea), Slovenish (Kislev) Dwars - Khazalid and Reikspiel in contact with humans from the Empire Elves - Eltharin (Tar-eltharin for High Elves and Fan-eltharin for Wood Elves) Halflings use Reikspiel and Halflings tongue Greenskin often use goblin tongue but there are also Ghazhakh (Goblins), Harghazhakh (Hobgoblins), Orrakh (Orcs), Snotgob (Snotlings) Reptilion/Lizardman use Ssissyl'k Ogrs - Grumbarth Treeman use Malla-room-ba-larin, Eltharin and sometimes Reikspiel Trolls use Orgvar. There is also the question about FReading and wrighting. I thik that all those can be learned by players with Education. The first language players get for free in case of humans but other races get 2 languages for free so they can communicate with each other. But if a hero whants to know how tu read and write he must have Education.

The list od things that players can see in The old Wolrd is really long - maybe someday we will see all those beast and creatures in book with stats and fluff . I will keep my fingers crossed for this.

Ok, so I'm after many sessions of WFRP. The system looks great, it all works very well but I made some rules for thing that I miss from previous edition. Here is a list of all what I miss: - origin - not everybody comes from a big town or a small village (my players can decide from where there heroes are) - known languages (not everybody is speaking the some language. WFRP always had many nations and every speaks diferent language. Humans in the Empire speak cumon - typical Old Wold speach, Elves speak Eltharin - elvish, Dwarfs use Khazalid - dwarfish. People from Tilea speak Tilean so why in the core set is'n even a word mentshioned about other languages? ) - reading and writing (not everybody in the Empire can read and write, so I thought of this - everybody who has Int 4 or higher can write and read in basic) - faith (Empire has so many faiths so why on the Character sheet isn't a place to write down your favorite god?) - age (older are more expirience but younger are tougher, On the Character sheet should be a place to write how old is you hero) - height (there are alweys smaller persons like Dwarf an higher like Elves) - weight (must I say why?) - hair color - eye color Those are the things that I miss, so I hope that Jay and friends will think about them and maybe in the future in a supplemet about the Empire I will see some of this thing than I really miss.

This news and the earlier one about Stromdorf were really good. I'm really exaited about this campani and it looks like march and april will be my WFRP months. First the Gathering Storm is comming with all does maps and other stuff. And the GM Toolkit - my personal must have becouse i love too make sessions for my friends. Yes the world can be soo beautifull.
-
i think it depends from session. I really offten use: - Lord of the Rings (complete soundtracks from all 3 movies) - 300 ost - Le Pacte des Loups ost and sometimes I use: - Sleepy Hollow ost - Conan ost - The Witcher ost (from the game and from the movie) That's all.

Can anyone tell me where can I find the Specialisation options fo Invocation? In the Rulebook it only said under Invocation that Specialisation options: Each diety has its own specialisation, tradition, rituals, tenets. (site 18 - WFRP rulebook) But where can I find it? There are not in the Rulebook and I can't find them in the Tome Of Blessings, so where? . I thought that specialisations for Invocation could be similar to those from Spellcraft. For example those are specialisations for Spellcraft: History of Magic, Collages of Magic, Rank 1 spells, Rank 2 spells, Rank 3 spells, Rank 4 spells, Rank 5 spells. So something similar can be for Invocation. So I thought of specialisations fo Invocation could be: History of Order, Orders and Gods, Traditions and Rituals, Rank 1 Blessings, Rank 2 Blessings, Rank 3 Blessings, Rank 4 Blessings, Rank 5 Blessings. But where can I find the official ones? In wich book? The Rulebook says that every piety has its own specialisations but where are they?

Where can I find the Invocation Specialisation?
ffgfan replied to ffgfan's topic in WFRP Rules Questions
pumpkin said: yep you can specialise in either your god (for invocation) or your school (for spell craft) and then you get a bonus die whenever that is relevant, which will be quite often! I would suggest it is one of the first specialisations any self resecting wizard or priest should take!!! Now You are a little bit wrong. You can't have a specialosation in your school of magic or in your god. But You can have a specialisations in ranks. For example those are specialisations for Spellcraft: History of Magic, Collages of Magic, Rank 1 spells, Rank 2 spells, Rank 3 spells, Rank 4 spells, Rank 5 spells. So something similar can be for Invocation. So I thought of specialisations fo Invocation: History of Order, Orders and Gods, Traditions and Rituals, Rank 1 Blessings, Rank 2 Blessings, Rank 3 Blessings, Rank 4 Blessings, Rank 5 Blessings. But where can I find the official ones? In wich book? The Rulebook says that every piety has its own specialisations but where are they? -

ffgfan replied to ynnen's topic in WFRP Archived Announcements
I heared that The Gathering Storm should be avaliable march 2010, and for the GM Toolkit we must wait until april 2010. We will see, maybe it will be avaliable a little bit sooner. -

You can buy The Adventures Toolkit - it's a next for players and features cards for the 4th player.
-
I agre, I'm also removing the soak value for the old and dirty clothes. Broke means broke, so You don't have nothing. (By the way all my player start broke - now I really don't know why are they doing it but it's ok with me).

Now I think that we will have to wait for the official rulebook but still You can make Your own Elven mages. But I think that we will not have to wait long. Remember the Shifting Shadows preview? The 3rd shadow was about magic, the eight colors ale then a vortex come up. There is a great vortex of magic on Ulthuan, can it be that we will see the Elven Magic in this expansion? I do hope so. At the end od the 3rd shadow there was even a little thing sayed about the Chaos magic ane the Changer of ways, so maybe it will be even about the dork sorccery. We will have to wait tilll official news, but I think it is worth waiting for.

Mal Reynolds - You said it! Boook, cards, maps, new NPC, new enemies and more! Yes, now I can't wait too buy it! Now I don't know how You are doing it Yennen but every preview of what comming up in WFRP 3ed me my heart beat faster. FFG Youre doing a hell of a job with the WFRP 3ed, keep up the good work! I love this game!

Mastering the Game >> Announcing the Game Master's Toolkit
ffgfan replied to ynnen's topic in WFRP Archived Announcements
First thing is this that - this is what I was waiting for an official GM screen. I hope it will be as good as it looks or even better. Can't wait for more news about it. Oh and it would be great if the GM Toolkit would be avaliable with The Gathering Storm. -
Hi, I was wondering will Midnight ever come back? Will we see some new games from the Midnight setting? A new RPG or a new board game? This would be great, becouse I loved the setting and the world of Midnight.

Now on my last session my group made a wrong turn and found a troll on the way. They did not kill it but runed away ut there were some questions that need to be anwsered. Now my questions is about this - in the bestiary there are statistics and action card for monsters - does this mean the monsters and other enemies can't use the normal action cards like melee attack or ranged shot and must be stuck only with does in the book? I think not, but it would be nice to see a official anwser for this.
-
42! said: If an attack hits it always deals at least one point of damage regardless of soak and toughness. You got the anwser right her! If You don't believe see rulebook in the wounds and deling damage section!
-
The supplement looks very interesting. Can't wait to see it, the fluff in it lokks really promising. I think it can be used nad only for Stromdorf but for many other towns in the Empire. I got just 3 questions: 1. Will there be some tokens, stance pieces and one side maps (not printed inside the books) and that kind of stuff in the expansion? 2. Will the expansion future some new careers, new spells and new blessings? 3. When it will be avaliable?
-
If the attack that deals critical damage and it means that 1 wound becomes a critical. So what the diference about - the attack deals critical damage and - the attack deals normal damage + 1 critical? It does not make sense, becouse it would be the same. So I would say that I can't be the same. The attack deals normal damage + 1 critical means 1 wound from that attack becomes a critical. And if the attack deals critical damage it would rather mean that all wounds become critical with that attack. Maybe it would be better if Ynnen would anwser for us that question.
