Journey to Blackfire Pass (How big is the adventure?)
ffgfan replied to Shadowspawn2's topic in Journey to Black Fire Pass
dvang said: The fact is, the adventure needs to be designed to complete in about 2 hours of play. That's pretty standard for a demo adventure. Unfortunately, it does limit what can be done within it due to the time frame. I will agree, it will likely have one combat and one social encounter with maybe a little bit of investigation or something. It really can't have much more than that and still be a 2-hour demo adventure. Basically, think of it as a single Act opening/introduction to the larger Adventure/campaign they have planned to release. You could be right becouse FFG said something about that it would be a whole 1 act from a big adventure/campain. Can't wait for more information about this. Not the most excitement for me will bring this demo and the plans for future. -
Great one, thanks. That was a very good idea to make those cards.

yes, it's on the 23th-25th July just like i thought. I don't know only why it was not planed for the Free RPG Day (this weekned). But ok I will wait in exicetement for this one. Maybe to this day The Winds Of Magic will be avaliable in stores.

I don't know why but in my opinion the Dark Elves race is weak. I tried to biuld a deck only out of the Dark Elves cards and every combinbation is weak I'm gething beated down by every deck. Has someone of You a strategy or a good deck list for Dark Elves? I'm interested only in a single race deck - so only Dark Elves and neutral cards.

Is it worth my time to max out my cards?
ffgfan replied to Belirahc's topic in Warhammer: Invasion The Card Game
I got one box of everything (1 core set, and 1 battlepack of every kind) and for me it's very good for a friendly play. But if You would like to play it the hard way and have 3 the same cards (for example of Trolls Vomit) then You need to buy 3 copies of the core set. It's good for tournaments and such things. But for a friendly play the one piece of all is just fine. -
New Keywords from March Of The Damned
ffgfan replied to gerson2's topic in Warhammer: Invasion The Card Game
DavidTJ said: Savage X This keyword allows a unit, when it is dealt 1 or more damage, to deal X damage to one target unit in any corresponding zone. It is important to note that the unit with the Savage keyword must survive the damage it was dealt in order for the Savage keyword to trigger. This is on the information page of the march of the damned section, it is understandable to miss it, if you read through james hatas explanation on the keywords he invented on the other page. Heres the link: www.fantasyflightgames.com/edge_npm_sec.asp That's true. See the information page to read it all if You don't believe.. -
mcv said: I notice it's only for shops in the US. Why? I know FFG is an American company, but WFRP is originally a British game, and there are a lot of European WFRP fans. Why restrict this even to the US? It's not only for US. shops, but as I know from my expirience in Europe such events are made in much smaller scale. The previous event - Emperors Decree in Poland was looking bad. I speaked to many Local Stores and only a few (3 or 5 in the country) had made a demo play - If the shops had the adventure they did not showed it to public view (I don't know why). In Emperors Decree event last year I only got a chance to look at the WFRP core set through a glas and nothing more. So the publication of "The Day Late, A Shilling Short" as a pdf was great opportunity for my and my players to see more - a BIg Thanks to FFG and Ynnen for that one! This time I know - that many stores in Poland won't make the event so I will not get a chance to see it or play it. So once more I got to ask and have a request for FFG and Ynnen: PLEASE FFG AFTER THE EVENT PUBLISH "JOURNEY TO THE BLACK FIRE PASS" ADVENTURE AS A PDF ON YOUR SITE. I think that many of fans, not only for Europe, will agre with me that it will be the only chance for us to see it and play it.

New Keywords from March Of The Damned
ffgfan replied to gerson2's topic in Warhammer: Invasion The Card Game
Cain_hu said: Hi, Necromancy : I think the real power of Necromancy is : if the unit dies in combat or it is sacrificed you can replay it again and again from your discard pile. The article mentioned CIP and leaves play abilities which open many oppurtunities to abuse the mechanic. Savage : The real limitation of the keyword is the same for any healing : the unit should actually survive to use it. As you may already know not many decks play healing either. But : it could be abused if you could damage your own units or if you have a way to make the unit survive easier. (maybe the HP increasing HE attachment have got a place here) An very interesting point of view. I did not thought about it this way in the first place. You could be right. -
Dam said: Wait, they aren't their own factions, just Neutral "chaff"? Looks like pass for me then . Yes those are not new armies, they don't have Capitols but still You can buildt there own decks and use them as armies. Just You will need to use a capitol from another race. Thoase are just neutral cards but look at the effects and strategy they will bring with them.

Clamatius said: No, but you can Bless another unit in response to the Loremaster (or before you play the Loremaster) to redirect the Loremaster's damage. If you do not have another unit in play, you can't Bless away the damage since the Loremaster isn't in play until it resolves and you can't respond to Forced effects. Forced is not an action. Actions are the things that say "Action: xxxx" for the purpose of effects like Iron Discipline. I completly agre with You.

Journey to Blackfire Pass (How big is the adventure?)
ffgfan replied to Shadowspawn2's topic in Journey to Black Fire Pass
I think it will be just like "A Day Late, A Shilling Short" - so it will have two encounters (one fight and one social). But still I can't wait to see it - especialy I'm interested becouse it's about Dwarfs. And a big bonus for me is a sneak preview of what's in the plans for the future. Can't wait for July and for the FFG publication of this adventure on the site in the WFRP section -
New Keywords from March Of The Damned

Kragg said: savage is rly that strong, image with the healing power of high elf lizards gonna be warmachines xD I agre. I even think it's better then Necromancy. But Necromancy is also good - especiealy if You like to have a small deck of cards (it could be an endless deck ;p). -
Have You see the new cards? On the news there is only Crypt Ghouls but on the site March Of The Damned in the about section there are Skeletal Horde and Skink Skirmishers. The site also includes some great art that I think will be on the cards for this big and great expansion. Can't wait to have it in my hands!

FFGSteve said: Hello everyone, Card of the week will return this week, no conspiracy, we just got behind getting the new catalog out. So relax and look forward to much more Warhammer goodness for years to come. Trust me we are just getting started, as one of the in house play testers I can tell you that this next cycle will blow your mind. See you on the battlefield, Steve Horvath Wow, so I'm now excited what FFG thought about. So I'm looking forawd and waiting for more not only Card Of The Week but with more all Warhammer games.

Silverwave said: Congzilla said: Gallows said: I have a rule that allows players to parry/block for other allies in the same engagement. This makes tanks more useful for the group as whole and less focused on just being a turtle themselves. It's beautiful Isn't there a card just for that? My life for yours, or something like that? EDIT : sorry, for some reason, /quote didn't worked ?? Yes there is, but still it's a nice idea.

Please make the adventure a pdf version after the event!
ffgfan replied to ffgfan's topic in Journey to Black Fire Pass
dvang said: Like I told you for the Emperor's Decree event, Sunatet, take a plane over to Portland, OR, USA and I'll save a spot for ya! Now that very funny Dvang . But really most of us won't get a chance to play it and see it at the event so still: Plaese FFG, publish it ! -
dvang said: I plan on running this, and will post a review as well. Thanks Dvang, it will be good to read a review but still I would like to run this for my players. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this will be published on the FFG site so I can do it. And besides I did not get when really this event will take place? I'm I right it will be 23th,24th and 25th July? So, I'm waiting for the pdf version, plaese FFG!

Smogg said: LeBlanc13 said: Max-Steel said: Seriously, what I'd like to see is not an Adventurer's toolbox, but a real Player's Kit. The Adventurer's Toolbox is more an expansion for the core box than it is a player's kit. Yeah, i completly agree, although i dont see a need for a full deck of careers and additional stands. These are already in the core set, and there should not be a need for two like careers in a party, instead i think it would be much more valuable and relevant to include a set of dice. A player's kit should Include: 1 storage box like what the Adventurer's Toolkit comes in. 1 pad of character sheets 1 set of tracker puzzle pieces (center + 4 pieces and a track location indicator) 1 Stance indicator for stand up 1 set of basic skill cards 1 Digest version of the Core Rules (Good idea with small booklet here) A good set of dice. This could be interesting and use full if FFG would make a Player's Toolkit, I completely agre but I would iclude in it: * 2 character boxes. * 1 pad of character sheets * 10 pre-built progress trackers (5 with 2R to 2C, 5 double sided 3R/C to1R/C) * 3 set of basic skill cards (2 for player and one extra) * 1 small players booklet (with name generator, birthplace and so on) * an extra set of dice. That's how I would like to see it.

The Gathering Storm >> Download the Maps from the WFRP Support Page!
ffgfan replied to ynnen's topic in WFRP Gamemasters
Great thanks Ynnen! Those updated are better -
So Ynnen I only can hope that FFG will make a pdf version of this adventure with this new career after the event - just like it was with "A Day Late, A Shilling Short". Many of us, especialy in Europe, won't get a chance to see it all and play it all, so pretty please! PS. It's great that FFG makes that kind of events - thank You FFG!

How about another character sheet!
ffgfan replied to limelight's topic in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay
I'm made my sheet for players in Word. Easy to fill out, easy to print and it opens on every computer. And the most importent thing it has all what I want it to have, here's a list: Name, Nickname, Race, Birthplace, Known Languages, Faith, Age, Height, Weight, Hair Color, Eye Color, original tables for: Characteristics, Basic Skills, Advanced Skills, Specialisations, Special Abilities, Equipment (Weapons, Armor and basic equipment), Money, Encumbrance, Critical Wounds, Insanities, Stance, Adversaries and General Career Advances (2 tables for 2 careers). Also I made place for Card Inventory and a place for the drawings (if the player would like to make portrait of his hero). This all on one A4 two-sided sheet. I'm pround of it. PS. I made this sheet for my players so it's in polish but works well. PS2. I added all the thing that I missed from the previous versions of WFRP. -
Great idea Congzilla.A very easy way to play especialy when You don't have too much time to think of an adventures - You're building them on the session.

first attempt at a couple Single Set v1.0 (AKA -
ffgfan replied to f7eleven's topic in Warhammer Invasion Deck Building
I see that every one is making only 50 card deck so I'm not the only one. After a lot of play especialy with bigger (80 cards) decks I must say - don't do it. I got a lot of cards and a big problem when I need a special one. So from now on I play only with 50 and 60 cards decks. Those are small, fast, dangerous to the opponent and fun for me. And one more thing - most of my decks have only a couple (6 max) neutral cards. I don't know if it's good but it works well.
