I would say that I will give You a recepie for a DE deck.: - give them some good buildings - a littel bit a unit - and a lot of tactic and support with Hex traits And then experiment for Youself. After a couple of plays You will see how to play with them, what are DE weak sites and what could You make better.

I must say that the HE are now a very good deck. When You have some good Building and Spell cards HE are really hard to beat. And those very good units like Swordmasters of Heoth and Descendant of Indraugnir. When I started playing W:I I did not liked the HE - those were to weak but now after the Silent Forge those are getting to be one of my favourite. I can't wait to have the March of the Damned to get some new cards in this deck.

Bretonnian speculation in context of the game.
ffgfan replied to Harlock2's topic in Warhammer: Invasion The Card Game
The Bretonian trait is bringing a new spirit to the game. I could imagine a lot of new cards with the Bretonian key word and I think that they will bring a lot to the game. of course there should be Questing knights and Graal knights, and Graal Dammsel. I think that we will see a lot of new cards with this trait it just a mater of time. -
Mal Reynolds said: Ah Angelic Despot it was a pleasure to read your post, that is how I exactly view it (or how I come to view it after your excellent article). People in the Old world would have no problem in beliving that there exist rat-like mutants, but a whole society and race called SKAVEN? No that is just wrong. a most rewarding read. I must say I agre with You. And thanks Angelic Despot for a great post.

Official Status of Signs of Faith?

Slysher said: http://www.amazon.com/Warhammer-Fantasy-Roleplay-Signs-Faith/dp/1589947037 ^Amazon says Nov. 14th is this accurate? it would be great but likely no. This could not be true becouse it from a week or two on the boat. I would say that it will be at the end of November or at the fist days of October if everything goes alright. But when it would be true, and it would be avaliable on 14th November I would be very happy! -
So it looks like I'm not the only one waiting for some news. For a long time we havn't heared anything from Jay. I know that he is hard working for us on a new WFRP expansion but it would be nice if he would give us a sneak pick or a Designers Dairy of what's going on. Of course it would be great it all the Guides & Vaults products would be officialy announced. So we are can't wait ot hear something new from You, Jay! Please give us a new Designers Dairy!

When You want such a list then just buy the game! It looks like The Players Guide will have it just like Mac40k said!

Warhammer 3E Hard Cover Books . . .
ffgfan replied to Oathwin Oakheart's topic in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay
Yes, I would like to know as well as You when they are going to be avaliable. But I think that not sooner then the end of November or in December 2010. I just hope that FFG would release first the Creature Guide nad creature Vaoult lets say at the end of October and then after a month the Players/GM Guides and Vaults products. So we can buy all of them. I'm also wondering when FFg will annonce those new product oficialy. We havn't hear fro Jay any thing for a long time now. Myabe it's time for a new Designers Dairy and some official announces. Please Jay give us some new sneak pick and some more news about our favourite WFRP! -
What kind of animal companions would dwarf's have?
ffgfan replied to Emirikol's topic in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay
Dwarf can have, in my opinion, a dog, a cat, a pony (horses are to tall for them) or a bird. Maybe even a monkey - exotic and rare animal in the Empire. I don;t think that they would want to have a rat (Skaven grudge). -
Skaven are trited as a nother beastman form. They like any other beastman on mutant, so people in the Old World think that they are not a special race. They are the bad guys in myths and legend, there are there to scare children. Besides the do not what to be seen as a race by humans - it's easier for them to make there plans work. But Elves and Dwarfs know about them more then humans. Dwarf even have a Grudge about Skaven. Oh and Skaven use many potions to destroy body of the fallen in battle ones. For example Eishin assasins drink a special potion befor going in to action, this potion has a effect that melts there bodies if they are killed. One more thing - people always think that they are the smartest and only a few of them are intellegent enough to hear what Dwarfs and Elves have to say. Commoners alway think that Skaven do not exist. And Nobles of teh Empire, the Emperor and other high-ranking persons in the Empire doe not what to couse panic in the country so they what to keep people in the believe that Skaven are a myth.

Errata? Forgers, messengers and Navigators cannot read?
ffgfan replied to Emirikol's topic in WFRP Rules Questions
Yes, we're missing a skill here. not everybody can read and write in the Old World. So You can do only two thing: - lets say that everybody who has Education can read and write - lets say that every players character who has Int 2 or higher can also do that (but not so good) Those are the only 2 options that You have for PC and NPC characters in my opinion. That my home rule and I will stick with it as long as a official errata about this won't come out. -
Knight Orders will be publisherd in Omens Of War next year, I think. And the Signs Of Faith are on the boat, so lets just hope that they will be avaliable in the first days of October. But I don't know why the is no announcment about those new hardback Guides and Vaults. When will we see them officialy announced? It's so quite about WFRP now, why? A new designers dairy would be nice!

Official Status of Signs of Faith?
ffgfan replied to HedgeWizard's topic in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay
I't after the release of Edge Of Night and there is no word about Signs Of Faith. Does any one know something about it? When it will be avaliable? -
Hi,I got a huge request to Ynnen - could You give as a pdf with a A4 version of the maps from Edge Of Night? Just like You did with the Gathering Storm. Please!
-
Yes, You're going to get this Miner skill with the Dwarf expansion.

Lautrer said: My online retailer hier in Germany set the available date at 7th of September. The last date was exactly correct with Winds of Magic. So I think I will have it at 8th or 9th September! Good news, so I can buy it with other products I'm waiting for. I only hope that my FLGS will make a preorder for this one. -
Here is a little clarification needed - first of all You all know that in The GM & Players Guides and Vault You will not get everything that come so far. This is only an updated version of the core set without cards Spell/Blessing from Winds of Magic and Signs of Faith or adventures. So You won't get those materials in it. Second Jay said that in future all the expansions will still be made in boxes format - so we will be getting books and cards in one box. So , I think, that means one thing - there will not be other new format products. And about the Lite version I'm really curious how it will look like. I can't wait to see the optional version of the character sheet. And I agre that those new products are a great way to show WFRP to other player and to get some new one in play. This is a amazing move from FFG to show other people how huge, full of options and fun is the WFRP 3ed.

New hardcover books vs. new boxes
ffgfan replied to Steel Rabbit's topic in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay
macd21 said: The only real reason you'd want to Player's Guide or the GM Guide is as a handy reference to have while at the table or when preparing games. Otherwise no, you can skip them. The Creature's Guide and Vault will have a lot of new material, so you'll probably want one or both of those. That's all true. New things will be only in Creatures Guide and Creatures Vault. But still I will buy all of those new Guides & Vaults. I think those will be very usefull for me not only durning a session but in planing ones. -
PBnJ said: ........ Anyone know if there is going to be a monster box set were u are getting the monster cards and stuff aswell as a soft cover book? haven't seen any info on this so far. worries me as I like using all the componets to the game and play $70+ to get it all would really suck. There won't be a Creatures box, You must buy Creatures Vault + Creatures Guide to get it all. It's maybe not to cheap but it's a great way to have all monsters in one pleace. You can always but Creatures Guide first and than Creatures Vault - nobody says that you must buy all at once. And about the Dark core set I still think that's everyone can play badguys without such a thing.
-
Personaly I don't like the idea of a Dark Core Set. This looks like You would like to put too much in one box and You're pushing it to it;s limits. besides it would be to expensive. But the idea of Dark supplements is not so bad. One of the best in my opinion would be a Skaven expansion. But I don't support a idea of players playing skaven charcters. I have some expirience with players playing some evil heroes and it always ended bad. Besides I think that even now You can play as servants of the Dark God - use You imagination! We have some Marks of Chaos, Mutations and even Spells and DArk Magic talent card. In the near future we will have even more of this stuff, so what stands on Your way to make players as evils heroes? What You must have a special career or something? That's not true, there are many worshipers of Chaos in the Empire and don't have a Mark of Chaos or the special career. Not every servant of The Dark Ones must be a Warrior of Chaos or a powerfull Sorcerer. Chaos uses many servants and even the smallest of them can become a terrifing enemy of the Empire! I like the way it is made by FFG - expansion about something + one of the Dark Gods. In the future I think it will stay this way so we are going to have more expansions with knowledge about many enemies of the Old World. And I hope it will stay this way becouse there is no purpose to change it!!

New hardcover books vs. new boxes
ffgfan replied to Steel Rabbit's topic in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay
Lucas Adorn said: I think the creatures book will be useful but the others you can do without if you have the coreset. I think Jay even says so in the Vicious seminar. The creature book has some new stuff though. The other HC books are not only for using with the Lite version of the game though. it will contain all the rules from the core set and gamemaster book respectively as well as some 'way of playing the game without the counters'. Yes, Jay at this years seminar said that when You have the core set then You don't need not Players Guide& Players Vault not GM Guide & GM Vault. Becouse there is just the same materials in the core set, plus some more example and a little Lite version of play if You wuold like to use it . And if You listened carefully You would heart that Jay said that in The Palyers Vault & GM Vault you will get only stuff from the core set - so there will be no components from Gathering Strom or Winds of Magic, not even from Signs of Faith. So there will be no Blessing cards for all faiths or Spells for all orders. I know I will buy it all, but if You don't have enough maney then I would recomend to buy first Creatures Guide & Creatures Vault. And those GM and Players books with boxes You can buy later in any order. -

Sunatet said: Well, my source (the shop I will buy it at, and distributor at the same time) told me, that they expect it to be available at the same time that "The Edge of Night" (which should be at the beginning of september in middle europe). But I can't confirm it in any way, so take it or not That would be great becouse Edge of Night will be avaliable at the end of August or early September. But I know only that Edge Of Night should be avalaible by the end of next week. -
LordPasty said: So... are all these awesome hardbacks coming out at the same time? They all say fall 2010. I want them. I want them now. Oh well. Gives me time to save money. Yes, it looks like they all will be published at the same time. I hope that they all will be released at the same time so I can order them all in one package. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they will be avalaible as soon as possible. And, yes I will buy them all.
