Offtopic - The Empire Will Fall! Acordong to GW!
ffgfan posted a topic in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay
This topic is a request to FFG and Jay - I hope that WFRP will be updated with those information that I found on the net. Maybe we will see them in the future in a supplement for WFRP - this would be great. A couple weeks ago there was announced a new book on the licence of GW. "Thamurkhan: Throne of Chaos" is the first tome of a campain set in the Old World. Thamurkhan: Throne of Chaos takes palce after the death od Karl Franz and most of the electors. The Empire is in a state of disintegration, accelerated by the weak government of the Empress Esme Stoutheart, a halflingi. The four Ruinious Power go in four direction of the world to share the earth. A Champion of Nurgle, Lord of Disease - Thamur Khan goes with his armies for the Empire. The first volume will end with the siege of Altdorf and plundering the capitol of the Empire. Acording to the publisher every Chaos God will have two tome about him. The first two will be about Nurgle and the collapse of the world of man - Empire, Bretonnia and Tilea. The next will be about: * Tzeentch and the invasion on Lustria, where His amries will fight with Lizardman, orcs and Skaven. * Slaanesh and his attack on Naggaroth and Ulthuan, the final collapse and last union of Elves. * Khorne and his domination about the North, the subdue of all the tribes of the Chaos Wastes, Ogre Kingdoms, Cathay, Ind and Nippon. Also there will be new monsters like the Plauge Toad( a new Nurgle mount). I'm writing this becouse , as a Warhammer fantasy fan, I'm very interested - for the first time we will have a glimpse of the future after Karl Franz. Maybe, as I hope, FFG will include those informations in a supplements for WFRP 3ed. read this topic as a interesting news about the Old World. -
I don't know why but I could not update my last post so I'm wrighting another. I got great news - acording to my FLGS The Fourth Waystone will be released at the end of November and after that Bleeding Sun will come in December. All this in this year. I will keep my fingers crossed to see them as soon as possible.

And about Signs of Faith - it should be avalaible after 20th october. Can't wait to see all those new products and get my hands on them, FFG please release them as soon as You can!

Ugrok Beardburna and War Paint
ffgfan replied to Deagal's topic in Warhammer Invasion Rules Questions
Deagal said: If I have a Ugrok Beardburna in play with lets say two damage on it, and I attach a War Paint on him. Does he get +4 power then? The same question is: What if I play multiple War Paints on one unit with damage? They are cumulative, so Your Ugrok Bearburna has 2 damage on it, and the attach to it a War Paint - it gets +4 Power. If You play another War Paint on it it gets +6 Power. -
Necromancy, when i can use it?
ffgfan replied to bigv2's topic in Warhammer Invasion Rules Questions
Yes, You can use it only in your Capitol phase when You can play cards from your hands. -
HappyDD said: ffgfan said: In couple days we will see Redemption of a Mage that will bring... In a couple days? Is this true? I didn't think the next BP would be out so soon after March of the Damned! As far as I know Redemption of a Mage will hit stores after 20th October (acording to my FLGS). I would also like to see more Chaos Support cards (especially buildings) and more deamons (Deamon Prince, Bloodletters, Bloodbeasts, Flesh Hounds, Jagernauts, Chaos Mounts, Keeper of Secrets, Plaguebearers, Screamer of Tzeentch, Disc of Tzeentch) and Nurlge's Rot (a new disease card). And more unique heroes for all races, for example: The Changelling, Teclis, Archaon, Sorcerer Lord, Heralds of Chaos Gods. Warhammer is so full of inspirations for new cards.

In couple days we will see Redemption of a Mage that will bring: High Elves - Courage of Aenarion Empire - Knights Panther, Higher Ground, new Mage cards Dwars - new Rune cards Dark Elves - new cards with Hex traits Chaos - Stone to Skin, new Disease Orcs - Githit Froatcutta Neutral - three-way alliance cards The Fourh Waystone: Orcs - High Mountain Troll Bleeding Sun: High Elves - Mmoon Staff of Lileath Empire - Blessing of Myrmidia Dark Elves - Soul Stealer Chaos - Beast of Rot Orcs - Giant Spider I got all those news from FFG published info (see the announces and read carefully). So what will we see next? It's a question of time when more info will be published but what do You think? What new units or type of cards would You like to see? I would like to see some more differents in Chaos so I can build a special army for every Chaos God. We still have only one Slaanesh unit, few Khorne and Tzeentch and a lot of Nurgle. Maybe the future will change that.

I noticed over the weekend that Game Trade Magazine #128 lists all three hardcovers and all three vault boxes for November 2010 release. I hesitate to make too much of this, however, because the issue would have gone to press about the same time that Shifting Shadows was released. In november? That would be great becouse I can't wait to get all those new products in my hands. I'm still waiting for Signs of Faith and i'm hoping to see it soon.

Sneak Peek at Signs of Faith (long + pics)
ffgfan replied to dvang's topic in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay
Lucas Adorn said: I notice that the Seer and Mystic careers have the arcane trait. Do they have the ability to cast spells? and if so, which types? -L Good question but only Dvang can anwser this becouse he has the game. I just hope that all the others - that hadn't got a chance to be at GenCon will see this soon. I heared that there's a chance that the Signs of Faith will be avaliable at store about 14th October, so I must just keep my fingers crossed. -

History of the Witch Hunters: who predated them?
ffgfan replied to Emirikol's topic in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay
In "The Witch Hunters Handbook" is chapter with Chronology of the Empire. And there we can fnd out that 30 years before Sigmar was crowed as the Emperor lived Wolfgart Krieger. Wolfgart helped Sigmar it the battle with Nagash and for that he was rewarded. Sigmar initiated him as the head of a new secret order called Order Of The Silver Hammer. Wolfgart also recieved some secret items of power and mystery to keep them secret. This was the founding of the Order. Some time after that the order changed his name for The Holy Order of the Templars of Sigmar but for many those are just Witch Hunters. The man who changed the secret order into a arm of state was Magnus the Pious in the year 2304 by the Empire Calendar. So even at the time of Sigmar the order existed and was originaly found by Sigmar. -
In the original WFRP 1ed rulebook is a useful table with years. I don't know why it this edition is one? This table is full of dates and important events from many perspectives. The 1st ed is set in year 2500 (Empire calendar) but for High Elves this is the year 8500, for Wood Elves this is 3500, for Dwarfs it is 5500 and for Halflings it is 1500. So many dates but one time. All 1st edition is set before the Great Storm of Chaos.

What Earth-analogue region matches the Border Princes?
ffgfan replied to Emirikol's topic in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay
Yes, I think Monkeylite is right. -
Yes, those old Gods from the 1st edition. Those were great, I even remember my players chosing of of them as the main God. But there come back is a big unanwsered question. It all depends from GW and the licence, the same goes for Fimir. If FFG would have a green light for this one then they would use them. But nothing stands in the way of players - You can always use them without the official rules.

Official Status of Signs of Faith?
ffgfan replied to HedgeWizard's topic in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay
Ok, in my last topic I made a mistake (I don't know why). But yes I was thinking that Signs of Faith will be avaliable about middle of October orat the first days of November. Becouse after that there will be comiing the Guides & Vaults products. I will keep my fingers crossed for the 14th October, that would be great. Can't wait for this title and those new minions of Nurgle. Besides does anyone know when Jay is going to announce the new products? They are not even in the upcoming section. -
Necromancy - a question of how to use?
ffgfan replied to ffgfan's topic in Warhammer: Invasion The Card Game
So if I have for example Skeletal Horde in my discard pile burning my Capitol phase I can pay 2 resource (cost of that unit) to bring it back to in play. If I do that, that unit goes at the bottom of my deck, correct? The importent part is that if I need to pay all the cost? I think yes, becouse the new FAQ says that Play = pay all costs. -
New Heroes - Teclis & The Changeling!
ffgfan replied to ffgfan's topic in Warhammer: Invasion The Card Game
Let's hope we are getting both of them so everyone is satisfied! -
Ok, so we got some new traits like Necromancy and now I'm would like to know something. If I want to play a card with Necromancy out of my piscard pile do I need to pay the cost of that card to return it to the bottom of my deck? Example: My opponent just killed my Skeletal Horde and they entered discard pile. So to use the Necromancy now I need to pay 2 resource to return them to the bottom of my deck. I'm I right?

Hi, I don't know if You remeber but on 30th October 2009 in a news about W:I there were two heroes intoduced to the game. My question is will we see them in some battlepack in the near future? Those Heroes were: - Teclis: Hero; Limit one Hero per zone, cost= ? 2H, 2 power, HP= ?; Action: spend 2 resources to blank target unit's text box until the end of turn (Limit once per turn) ; "I have devoted my life to thwarting the powers of destruction" - The Changeling : Hero; Limit one Hero per zone, cost = ? 2C, 2 power, HP = ?; Kingdom: Reduce the cost to play this unit by 2 Quest: This unit gain 1 power Battlefield: This unit gains Scout and Toughness 1 ; "The tides of Chaos are not yours to navigate!" Those Heroes look pretty cool, so when will see them in and battlepack/expansion?

I would like to hear a oficial version how can I assign damage to the battlefield zone on capitol when there are Swordmasters of Hoeth in play in Battlefield? Swordmasters of Hoeth are having a special action in that zone - they cancel all combat damage. So what can I do? In the rulebook is said that I must assign damage equal to the HP of all defending units in a zone before I can apply damage to the capitol. And in the FAQ is said that Q: How exactly does assigning combat damage to defending units work? A: When assigning damage to defending units, the attacking player must assign enough damage to destroy the defending units before being able to deal damage on the opponent’s capital. This means that the attacker must take into account the unit’s hit points and any damage cancellation effects that are already active before damage is assigned. The attacker is allowed to assign more damage than is necessary to destroy a unit in anticipation of more damage cancellation effects if he so chooses. Ok, and now my interpretation - Swordmaster have only 3 HP as I remember, so when I'm dealing 7 damage I must assign 3 of them on the Swordmasters and 4 go to the capitol, am I right? Or the Swordmasters are a prefect defence shield and when they are in the Battlefield - this zone can't be damaged by attacking units?

Entropy42 said: Based on how Greatswords work, I would also assume Black Knights ability trigger their own ability when they enter a zone. I agre that Black Knight of Morr can trigger there ability just like Greatswords. So when they enter the zone one unit can't defend.

Tiranoc Outpost + Loremaster of Hoeth
ffgfan replied to Harlock2's topic in Warhammer Invasion Rules Questions
fatolaf said: The way I see it, is you deal 3 points to both parties... I agre, the way I see it that would mean that when You have the Tiranoc Outpost and the comes in play Loremaster of Hoeth - he is dealing 3 indirect damage to all players in the game. When You would have two Tiranoc Outpost he would deal 4 damage and with three he would be a weapon of mass destruction with 5 indirect damage.
