Looks like, some of us will have to wait a bit more for their orders.

Just got a message from local developer (in Europe), that due to weather issues (well, I have half a meter of snow outside the window) some of the orders will be delayed to the very end of this year, or beginning of the next...

(there was supposed to be a small delivery for the people that ordered early, but I was told, it was delayed as well)

Lucky all, who got it already.

**** weather, no XmEss present for me llorando.gif

That's not a good news. Outside my window there also a lot of snow. But I heared rumors that in Europe only a few lucky people will see the Guides & Vaults before Christmas. I did not get a messege from my FLGS so maybe I will get my package but who knows.

PS. I  would like to ask You Sunatet - where do You buy Your games?

A big point/deception, which i think is an oversight unless they plan to release a "Chaos Dark Gods" Box once the 4 individual expansions are out, is that in the Creatures Guide, the Tzeentch & Nurgle Lesser and Greater Daemons from WoM & SoF are missing, but they are in the Vault as creature cards!! As well as the 2 adventures' monsters & characters.

In the Vault are also missing the Rank 1 to 3 Spells (& Blessings, but i think there are none) with Chaos, Tzeentch, Dark Magic, Necromancy, Nurgle traits from those 2 expansions as well, but the "monster actions" spells & blessings are in for those expansions (no rank requirement, but creature requirement like Great Unclean One, Chaos Sorceror, Colored Fiend, Broken Wheel Leader, Plague Leader, etc.)

That would have put a few more pages in the Guide and a few more cards in the Vault. Those missing spells are great to enhance enemy casters you make, and in fact needed for those creatures that have extra spells actions. You don't really want to give a Chaos Sorceror some Light Order spells, don't you ?

That's not missing - it's not a suprise for me that there are not included in the Vault and Guide. Becouse if there were You would not buy the previous boxes to get them. Like Jay said, and I understanded Him, they only upgraded the material that was not on cards, so that's no suprise that You did not get those. Besides if You have the previuos expansions You got those cards. And nor more importent thing -  Jay said clear - the Guide & Vaults are only the optional version of the core set and nothing more.

I think that there will be more cards coming in next expansions for all but we must wait. In my opinion there will be a Elves expansion that will give us Elves magic (High and Dark), more Chaos spells will be in adventures, more Necromancy will be in a expansion about Undead, more Orcs maybe will be even in Black Fire Pass and so on. So there is no need to worry about. And if You really miss those buy the previuos expansions and you will get those.

Oh and about ChaosDark Gods Box - I don't think that such a thing will be published. Why? Becouse we are getting all the Gods of Chaos in separete boxes and this is more economical for FFG - they earn more money on those. And from my point of view - it good becouse as a GM and a Player I always get not only a Chaos expansion but also something more, a different aspect of live in the Empire.

good. I just asked them a question about it, but I guess you have answered it right here ;-)

Skolo - if You did not pre-ordered in october then there is a chance that You won't get them in december. As I talked to guy there the first shipment will be in next week but very small one as far as I know. The second shippment will be in two week or more. And I know that guys in Rebel will send the first one to all people that pre-ordered it very soon.  But in next week WFRP Guides & vaults will hit store - I personaly hope that this will be on monday - but that's just my wish. gui%C3%B1o.gif

  5. I use my very old (from 1st edition) list of equipement with prices. It has his ages but it still works good.

And I agre that a list of equipement in a future expansion would be great. Maybe we will get it in a Slaanesh supplement and more unique weapons could be in Omens Of War. gui%C3%B1o.gif

Just a question, anybody knows if Omens of war will be signs of faith type or more like guides ? For PCs i Think that cards are very importants.

Ok, so Omens Of War will be just like The Gathering Storm or Signs Of Faith or Winds Of Magic. So it will be in a box. In that box we will get: 2 books (one about the history of the Empire in the war perspective and second about Khorne and His minions), many cards (new talets I think, new Actions, ect.), new careers also there will be creature cards and creature action cards for minions of Khorne. I know all this from the Small But Viciuos Seminar - so official info from Jay You could say. gui%C3%B1o.gif

And about all those info about Creature Guide & Vault - this makes me excited and I can't wait to get tehm next week. Wooow!

All those new minions, monsters, NPCs and a lot more. So many new Skaven and more. babeo.gif

Realy can't wait for the next week when I will get it all. I ordered in pre-order all those Guide & Vaults so this is going to be a big package. gui%C3%B1o.gif

  7. The Witch's Song is a stand alone adventure in a format similar to The Edge Of Night. So we will get a box with all what we need to play. The adventure takes place just out side Marienburg. And if You heared carefuly what Jay said at the Small But Viciuos Seminar - this will future Hedge Wizards and Hedge Magic. gui%C3%B1o.gif So it looks like it will have some new rules just like it was in The Edge Of Night - there were rules for the Morrslieb full moon.

The Witch's Song will hit stores in January'Febuary 2011 as I suspect. gui%C3%B1o.gif

Spivo - And about Slaanesh - he will be in the future in a special expansion that will be published in Autumn/Winter 2011 I think. The title is unknown.

My players finish of opponents who fall down, but don't clearly die. So of course the monsters/npc's does the same to the players, UNLESS other players engage them.

Likewise I tell my players who are engaged with 2+ opponents, that they can't finish of unconcious opponents, till they're free of being engaged, unless they're trained in combat. This is because to the untrained it can be hard to see wether people die, or just fall unconcious, but a trained combetant will notice.

I've yet to kill a player like that, but have no problems defending it to them when I get the chance.

Does are good house rules Spivo. For me this is the way thing happen in the Old World.

  9. I think that the future expansions for WFRP will future both. In the box we will be getting action cards and  talents and a book the stats, talents and action cards listed in it.

Ok, and the hardcovers are just a "one time". The format of publishing WFRP is not going to change. So the Witch's Song, Omens Of War, Black Fire Pass and all the future product will still be in boxes - and that's good news! Becouse I think that the boxes are a lot better - You're always getting all what You need in them.

PS. Jay Little durnig the Small But Vicious Seminar 2010 said that there will be no changes in the for of publishing WFRP supplements. And in the future all products will still be in boxes just like it was from the beggining of the 3rd edition. And I think He will keep His word! happy.gif

  10. I won't agre with You that 3 toughness is good and gives a nice defence agains a sudden death.

You should remeber like some one here said that every enemy can make a critical with boons or action cards. And a importent thing is to remeber that when a player goes unconscious he suffers from one more cruitical. Besides You should think why a Beastmen or Orc or Gobbo should not finish off a character - does the enemy know that his that his opponent is dead already? For example I remeber that Minotaurs had something in previous editions that they were stupid - and if a they knocked somebody unconscious or killed they must roll a die and in couse of a failure they started to eat him regardless of how many opponents they had in the encounter.

So I think that the players are not undead and they can die by many ways. But the point is that a good GM, in my opinion, should show them that. A good session it that one that they will remeber and talk about. You should use one rule that I think is great - a good session should always show players how little devides them from death. The Old World is a brutal place to live.

Oh and one more rule that I use - there is not such a thing like a every night rest recovers wounds. I use that once per week in the game (twice when they have a good place to stay) my players can make a Resilience test to recover from wounds. Becouse I my opinion thast gives a little more realism to the game. I never hear os someone with a broken limb after one day of rest would feel healthy and could fight or travel by foot.
