  1. It's comming! Any day now it will hit stores! Look in the upcoming section for details - the release date is July 2011!
  2. First I want to share with You the news that Black Fire Pass will hit the stores any day now. The release date is at the end of July 2011. Let's hope that we will get this before GenCon 2011 becouse the demo adventure was a published a year ago (in july 2010). So wail waiting for the Dwarf supplement I will give You some of my thought abut Shifting Shadows 2011. Here's my list of speculations: Slaanesh expansion - the last of Chaos main Gods. As we all know it will be published the same way all other were. So in a box wewill get two book, a lot of new cards, 10 new carrers and so on. In my opinion, and I think not only my opinion, this will be focused on Nobles in the Empire and social encounters. I think that we could see it in September 2011 in stores. Maybe even at GenCon2011 will be some copies or it will be showed to public. Athel Lorien - I don't know how You but I would love to see it. This could be an adventure in the same format as Black Fire Pass. But it would focus on Wood Elves. I think, based on my players, that many do not know how to play a Wood Elf and we need more knowledge about them. So such a adventure would be amazing to see. We could also get some extra careers for Wood Elves. This would have two book in it - one about Wood Elf and there beloved forest Athel Loren and the other for the GM - just a adventure and some more informations that players should not know. Adventures Toolkit - we also need a good expansion about the Empire it self. So this would be a great oportunity to also include Halflings. This expansion could have the descriptions of major cities of the Empire, provinces and so on. This could have two book. First one would be for player & GMs with some more detailed information about the Empire, we could also get some list of names examples, birth locations for players so they can make more individual characters. The second book would be for GMs only with some specific information, detailed cities descriptions with maps and a small adventure. This would also have specific careers for each province and some unique creatures like Fimir that only exist in Cursed Mashes. Besides this could have some high rank careers in it. High & Dark Elves - this could be and adventure set in Ulthuan or in the Empire. With two books - one about High Elves (becouse it would be good to get more information about them) and the second with an adventure and detailes about Dark Elves. I thought about this after looking at the images s from the end of the Small But Vicious Seminar 2010. Chaos Chosen expansion - Slaanesh will end the "Chaos Gods cycle" of expansions. So after it WFRP 3ed should get something new. And many of palyers asked for it so maybe we will see it in the future. An expansion about the Norsce and that will let the players to play as Chaos desciples. With some specific Chaos carrers and so on. This could also be a start of expansions that would let player take the role of some evil races like Skaven, Greenskin or Vampires. Such a supplement would give GM more tools and informations about races and players a chance to come to the dark side. Of coure those are just my thought and pure speculation. We will see what the future bring. But in the future I'm sure we are going to see some supplements focused on enemies races like Skaven, Greenskins or Vampires. I don't know how You but I can't wait to see Shiffting Shadows 2011. PS. I don't agre that Print On Deamand is a good option - maybe for errata but now for new expansions. Becouse I , and may players in Europe will not have a channce to get it easy and fast. Sometimes to get stuff for PoD I had to wait for 3 months. So bad idea! I want all expansions in boxes!

ValiantOne said: Marksman Advanced Career: Any Race Combat, Intermediate, Military, Rural Primary Characteristic: Agility, Willpower Career Skills: Ballistic Skill, Coordination, Discipline, Observation, Resilience Stance Meter: 3 Green - 1 Red Advances: Action - 2, Talent - 1, Skill - 3, Fortune - 1, Conservative - 2, Reckless - 0, Wound - 1 Card Slots: Focus, Reputation, Tactic Description: A keen eyed individual practiced at using missle weapons Thanks! That helps me! Just if You could write the career ability, please!
  4. I think that we will see some more Greenskin love in it. Just waiting for the announce and after that hoping to see more preview and a lot of sneak picks.
  5. I would love to write a game session breakdown but I got the game more then a week ago from now and don't remeber it that good. After a lot of playing I can say one more thing - comparing it to Invasion. When I got the core set for W:I I had a lot more fun with it. And about LOTR LCG core set - I got bored after a couple of plays. The only thing why I still tried it was wthe fact that my firend wanted to try it. Oh, there's no more thing I don't like - the massive part of the game is luck. When You are lucky enought for the first two rounds You could draw in the encounter only treachery or location cards and that gives You a lot of advantage. The way I see it - The game is good but I like a lot better Invasion from this one. Becouse here the luck play a large part of the game. But that's only my opinion after more then a week of playtesting it. I will say it like this - I will put this game on my shelf and the game will wait for better times I hope. And by better time I mean after the first cycle of Adventure pack I will think if I want to play it more. @Calexander - anwsers: yes, yes, yes, yes. And it's not that I don't like it only becouse I beat it in first play but the main reason is the part that luck play in it. I think that one of the reasons why i beat the game in first play was the fact that I got very lucky. For example - in the second scenarion on Anduin in two first rounds I got in the encounter one treachery and after it one location. So I got time to kill the hill troll. Or in the third when I escaped from Dol Guldur the shadow cards on objective cards were treachery, location and only one enemy. So the main reason why I'm disapointed with this game is the large part of luck in play. @Mestrahd - that's one of the main rules of the game, You can not miss that. Don't You think? @Conykchameleon - 1) I know that and that one of the main rule, can't miss that. I use Eowin to play cards like Gandalf or from Spirit sphere. 2) and yes. So sorry but I'm leaveng the community of this game. Maybe such a cooperative game like this is not the kind I want to play. This kind of cooperative game is not for me becouse I don't have to much fun playing it. I will stay with such tiltes like W:I in card games, that gives me more pleasure playing it. So goodbye to all! And have fun with this game, Best regards
  6. Ahzrab said: ffgfan said: First of all I thought it will be more challenging to beat all scenarios - I beat all tree in a row after the first play. I just needed to make a two sphere deck. I think you forgot some rules. No, I play with all normal rules. And beating scenarios was easy. The second - Journey along the Anduin was a little bit hard I must say but the other two were not. Especialy I thought that the last one - Escape from Dol Guldur will be very hard but it was not. Sometimes one of my heroes deid but still a beat the scenario so it still counts. And about my deck - according to the rulebook You can have a max of 50 card deck, so I made such one. Among the 50 card were 3 copies of Gandalf. And my heroes were Eowin, Gimli and Legolas. The most simple strategy was to exhaust Eowin every time to the Quest, Gimli was perfect for defence and Legolas was the attacking one (so after killing enemies I always got some more progress tokens on the quest). It really is not that hard to beat all scenarios. PS. the trick to beat Escape from Dol Guldur is simple - always first make the maxiumum progress on a Quest and after it take the objective card in the last moment to go to the next stage. And destrong the Dol Guldur Nazgul is easy when You have some good event cards in Your hand. Oh, nad the captured hero was Gimli. So really the game is a little disapointment for me and at this point nothing can change that.
  7. doc_cthulhu said: As someone pointed introducing halflings as playable race would introduce a problem as there's no given cards/careers for them. I disagre with that - there are many careers that have - Any Race printed on it. So After thay would introduce halfling they would just have to make some careers for them and in the future halfling would be mantion on careers. I don't see the problem here. The problem with characters above Rank 3 is a small problem. But still I would like to see some really advanced careers. And that's not true there are no such careers now - look in to the Omens Of War - Preceptor is Rank 4 becouse to be him You have to finish Knight and Knight Of The Inner Cycle and those all are advance. So this gives me hope to see a really high level characters as playable. PS. I just hope to see the announce of Black Fire Pass next week. To know more about this one read here: http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/edge_foros_discusion.asp?efid=149&efcid=3&efidt=443134
  8. I got a favour to ask - can some one post the Marksman career? I would love to know what are the restriction of thsi profesion. You know - races avaliable, traits, primary characteristics, skills, the table stance and so on.
  9. Ok, so I got the game. I've played it a lot and after many sessions, discusions with my friends I must say I'm disapointed with it a little. I thought it will be great becouse it's set in the universe created by Tolkien with famous characters and adventures. First of all I thought it will be more challenging to beat all scenarios - I beat all tree in a row after the first play. I just needed to make a two sphere deck. Second I don't know whats the point of playing with more players when everyone is hidding there cards. This is cooperative game and after all You could just good play with Youre hand revealed. Third I hope to get more from the core set. There's so few of enemies that after just a couple of plays You know them to well. Fourth many good characters are Ally and that means that we won't see them as Heroes in the future. Don't get me wrong. I love the art in this game and the atmosphere by the core set is just to small and I'm disapointed with it. The game can be amazing but only after a few Adventure pack when we will have more of everything. .
  10. I made this topic to discuss Your thought about what will we see in the Shifting Shadows 2011. Also to introduce my ideas and thought about what will come up this year and to summer 2012. Could we please talk about that and not about where we are getting Omens Of War (there another topic for that one). I also shared a rumour that i heared about the release of Black Fire Pass. This exciting adventure that is focused on Dwarfs should be avalaible on 12th July 2011. Let's hope that this will be true becouse the demo adventure was a published almost a year ago (in july 2010). The release plan for WFRP 3ed will not change in my opinion so after a sourcebook we will be getting an adventure and so on. Going back to my list of speculations: Slaanesh expansion - the last of Chaos main Gods. As we all know it will be published the same way all other were. So in a box wewill get two book, a lot of new cards, 10 new carrers and so on. In my opinion, and I think not only my opinion, this will be focused on Nobles in the Empire and social encounters. 11. Doc, the Weasel said: Looking through Omens of War, I'm even more convinced we are going to see some material on the nobility. 1) there is a line in Liber Carnagia that describes who is attracted to each Dark Power. They pretty much fall in line with the boxed sets (mages for Tzeench, doctors for Nurgle, etc). Nobles are said to be attracted to Slaanesh. 2) Half of the new careers have the Noble trait (the pistolier -> Knight progression). When I saw that, my first thought was them setting up other careers with that trait. It's not definitive by any stretch, but it's more than the nothing that we currently have. I totaly agre that with Slaanesh we will see Noble and social encounters. And that will be a really good one too becouse now this part of the game did not have to much love. There are to few good social cards so players are not willing to play such heroes. I think that this supplement will change that.
  12. Thanks Callidon for a great review of what we are getting. That made me even more excited for this one and I hope to get it next week in my hands. I like the new career but I agre that there's to few of Severe Injuries. But I think that in the future we will see those in other products so there will be more of them. Now we can only wait to see the announce of Black Fire Pass any day now. And I hope to see it in June 2011.
  13. Thanks Rave for the original soiler from english version. I still think that this Battle Pack could be a lot better and that the Chaos Quest is waste of space - there could be a lot better card then this one. One more time we are seeing that Chaos is not the favoured designers race and it's not getting to good cards. Oh and the Empire and Dwarf are still getting one of the best cards in the game and are most powersful race in Invasion.
  14. Thanks for a sneak pick. I can hope that I will get my copy very soon (pre-ordered it a couple weeks ago). Will it be to much to ask for some pick of what's in the box and a more detailed review of this expansion. Wrie if You can how many of each type of cards are in it. How many pages have does book and what careers we are getting. Please! PS. I hate errors. Thanks God that this one with Preceptor is a easy one to see and fix.
  15. In the Creatures Guide we have only - Stone Troll and River Troll! But if You want a Chaos Troll You can easy made it Youself. Use the statistics of one of the Trolls , give him some mutation, and rise his fear by 1. That would do the trick. But be careful - Trolls are player killers.
