  1. Looks like Destinydb has a problem. Doesn't work with EDGE or Opera. You can try with google Chrome or Safari if you feel like experimenting, but I doubt it will make a difference.
  2. Rules reference page 14, "CLAIM THE BATTLEFIELD".
  3. Refusal is an annoying card, but not as good as your friends think, because : 1) You're right. The rules for direct and melee damage doesn't say it has to be an opponents character, so if you want Darth vader to cut off his own arm, go ahead 🙂 . Of course, the round you roll 2 x 4 melee damage, is the round they play Refusal 🙂 2) Refusal only affects Character dice. Any upgrades on Vader works as normal. Use "Become One" and "Legacies" to play around the effect...You should consider those cards anyway. 3) Do they really want Darth Vader to have all those ressources ? I assume you have Vader's Fist in your deck, but why not include additional supports ? The new superlaser siege cannon gets nasty real quick, if you have lots of ressources and so does the new Pulse cannon...or you can just use honed skills and tool Vader up with 4 light sabers. 4) You should really consider Breaking Bonds or Unshackle. There are several other downgrades that are equally annoying and/or dangerous. Mind extraction, Hampered and Target Acquired comes to mind. 5) Protective Suit will put an end to that kind of nonsense. 🙂
  4. Don't forget to download the rules reference Guide ( if you haven't already done it ) . https://www.fantasyflightgames.com/en/products/star-wars-destiny/ Go to the support section and choose "Rules" to find it.
  5. See the holocron documents on this page : https://www.fantasyflightgames.com/en/products/star-wars-destiny/
  6. The Ewok Warrior card says "After you activate this character". I guess that means the card is a character, or ??
  7. elite Watto is perfect for the role. 3 ressource sides and yellow gives you access to cards like "Truce" and "Well connected" to add even more ressources.
  8. RRG version 1.9 effective date 04-08-19 Page 28. ADVANCED TRAINING (133) • This plot used with Captain Phasma’s ability (Z18) allows that player to resolve their trooper dice showing a blank as 1 melee damage.
  9. A new hero upgrade Card called 'knighthood" gives a blue character the Jedi trait.
  10. Across the Galaxy: Galactic Deception Vigilance Wanton Destruction Snuff Out Gathering Intelligence Way of the force Climate Disruption Array Paid Off Control Turn the Tide Legacies Bartering Frighten Well-Connected
  11. Version 1.8 of the RRG pg. 7 replaces the word character with Card ••A player may discard an upgrade already on a card to decrease the cost of a new upgrade being played on that card by the cost of the discarded one. This is called “replacing an upgrade” and each player can only do this once per round.
  12. Sebulba+Sebulba always win is a good way to remove high cost vehicles.
  13. Relaxed and Formal Tier tournaments: All product is legal in North America upon the product's official release. 14. FrozenSquirrel asked for cheap shipping to UK/Europe, and the very first line on the page says : FREE shipping in the European Union for all orders 60 Euros and up!
  15. Feldherr makes a lot of really good storage and carrying solutions. I find their prices reasonable, when you consider the quality. Almost every Destiny player I have met has one or more Feldherr bags. www.feldherr.net
  16. I don't think there is a rule of thumb Discarding for rerolls is very situational. It all comes down to the question : How badly do you need better/different die rolls ?
  17. You can NOT do multiple specials. Specials have a value of 0 that cannot be increased or decreased. Rules ref. guide page 9 - Special
  18. Team Covenant has an excellent Youtube channel about Star Wars Destiny. They have a whole series dedicated to learning the game. https://teamcovenant.com/learning/star-wars-destiny/comprehensive-guide-new-players-swd

  20. See rules reference guide, bottom of p. 15, Winning the game. The player who controls the battlefield at the end of the round wins.
  21. I just got the E-mail. A booster box is waiting for me at the post office
  22. And here I thought they were out. I just received 2x Rey+Kylo starter sets, 2x Bobba Fet starters and 2x Luke Skywalker starters today !!! ....but I'm not an American :-) Sorry about the picture quality...I really need a newer phone, but guess where my money went :-)
  23. I bit the bullet and bought 2 starter sets. That also gives you enough cards for 2 tournament legal 30 card decks.
  24. I haven't tried solo but I would imagine it plays well. Just like LOTR you can play 1 or 2 investigators ( or 3 or 4..it's your game ! ) and the game difficulty scales with number of investigators....better than LOTR in my opinion. The game has 4 difficulty levels and you adjust the level by adding or removing tokens from the chaos bag. Instructions are on the first page in the campaign guide. For a first game with only one investigator, I would recommed using easy level. (..and use Roland. He's good at finding clues and fighting. ) Just like in LOTR, it's fun to do a scenario/campaign with a new set of characters. Unlike LOTR, all scenarios have multiple endings depending on how the investigators are doing and the choises they make. Some scenarios have different versions of locations and several sets of enemies chosen at random during setup, so you never know exactly what will happen and during play the Chaos bag is a never ending source of fun/greif/Joy/disaster/frustration/rage/anger/relief/triumph that will ensure every game is different. In campaign play the setup of a scenario often changes with the outcome of the previous scenario. A good example is the Ghoul priest from the first scenario. If you don't kill him, he will show up in later scenarios. Each scenario also gives you XP you can use to change your deck between scenarios. Add 4 difficulty levels I'd say replayability is really good, especially if you play campaign games ( as you should...this game is designed for campaigns ! ) Well....so far new investigators has only appeared in The dunwich legacy and more will come in The path to Carcosa. Each investigator has his/her own special abilities, rules, restictions and personal cards for deckbuilding, so you can easily see what kind of deck you can build for a character. FFG has a sample deck list for all characters on the product page, under support. Just like LOTR you can use any investigator in any campaign or scenario. I hope this helps !
