  1. Miniature Market has them all on clearance at the moment. $6 for most figs, $9 for the expensive ones, and $12 for the map expansions.
  2. I've got 3-4 people who play, and we too have been looking for people to play with in Central Florida! We live in Altamonte Springs, and buy cards from Cool Stuff too. Not our preferred place to play though, due to the stink factor they always seem to have going in there. We usually play at the Amorous Armadillo Game Shoppe in Oviedo, about a 10 minute drive from there. But, we'd be willing to brave the stink for the chance to play with new people. We don't own much stuff, and definitely don't have competitive decks, but we're up for playing. If there was a regular group, we'd certainly be willing to spend more money on the game to get our decks up to snuff. If you guys want to try and organize a game day/night, let me know.

  4. Spent this morning and afternoon working on Marcus. Am very happy with the way he turned out. Made his energy backpack purplish pink to go with my Nazi themeing. Think he looks better even than the picture on the card.
  5. Firstly, bravo on the painted figure. Looks good, and nice details on the backpack, either from washing or drybrushing. As for the IMG code, the easiest way is to click the image icon above the post editor. Once in there and you link your image, you can resize it down to a normalish size(width 500-600) and then have the image link to a large version.
  6. I'll do ya one better. Find a woman in any video game, miniatures game, or comic book that isn't sexualized...
  7. The Operation Cerberus expansion is also priced at 44.95, up $5 from the other expansions.
  8. My gaming group thinks it's way too powerful in a game mode where you get 3 CP per turn, that's for sure. It essentially makes you unable to call in any reserve troopers, and instead of getting 3 special actions in that turn, you get 1. Since the first costs 2, you can't do anything with that leftover 1 point. So, we have house ruled it where it only works once in a turn, so the first action costs 2 points, but then you can do a second one with the last point. Prevents it from pretty much ruining the other team.
  9. Gobbo said: Ok,, I have to interject a little. I understand not wanting to pay more and some miniature companies raise their prices every 4-9 months for no apparent reason. FFG has always been a great company with decent prices for what you get and I think they still are. Lets look at a few comparisons. Games Workshop's prices are one of the highest in the industry and if you compare miniatures and models of the approximate size, you will see a marked difference. I am also adding in the approximately sized Warmachine figures too. Dust Tactics/Warfare figures are all assembled and have been primered. GW > PP > FFG Land Raider $66.00 > Khador Gun Carriage $84.99 > Heavy Walkers $39.95 Terminator Squad [5 guys] $50 > Khador Man O War unit [5 figures] $44.99 > Red Devils [3 figures] $19.95 Dreadnought [1] $44.50 > Khador Juggernaught [1] $34.99 > Medium Assault Walker [1] $24.95 All in all, FFG's Dust prices are still WAY reasonable. I know this is all subjective [perception is reality] and these are actual retail pricing and not the discounts you can get from online retailers, but I am not going to complain as I don't always have the time to build my models and the primer on the figures works wonderfully. And also the fact that for some of us(me included), the cheap cost was the reason I started playing Dust instead of one of the bigger games. Still a "bargain" I guess, compared to them. But the closer they get to the prices of the big games, the less likely people will be to play this instead of one of them. Not to mention in those games there is a broader player base, so you only need to purchase one army's stuff. Here, at least in Orlando, I can't find anyone else who's even heard of Dust, so I have to buy both sides.
  10. Was just about to post the same thread! Yeah, it's a bummer. These units certainly don't seem any more special than the normal 3 man squads. Guess they're moving towards more typical wargame pricing. Bummer.
  11. Lots of new stuff, as it's been awhile since I updated with pics:
  12. I drove up to Jacksonville from Orlando to watch them beat up on the poor Jaguars. Good game, especially since we won! Super windy though, which led to the Dalton interception and made both offense suck even worse than they usually do.
  13. Yeah, I dunno about the rules, but this gets a common sense ruling of "No, the flamethrower can not destroy a giant water base vessel" from me. Rules be damned, seeing a guy standing on top of a submarine trying to light it on fire just seems absurd to me.
  14. Sounds like literally the perfect job for the GW Fine Detail brush!
