I don't have the card in front of me, but iirc, it says Swashy can take an extra turn if he wins a battle. I know he doesn't gain the extra turn if defeating a Spirt, but does he get an extra turn if he defeats the Sentinal, the bandit in the Forest, the farmer in the Tavern, the Dragon in the Cave, etc?

Thanks for the ideas. All very interesting. Keep 'em coming!!
Does anyone remember what the Dragon King's stats from the 3rd Edtion Dragon Tower (or was it Dragos?)
-
Not sure if this belongs in this group or in the Home brews......
Our group is a little bored with the standard endgame. Often times frustrated with stalemates, dragging out long games, etc. Does anyone have any good alternate endgames you use and care to share? I have 2 that I have come up with but have not fleshed them out or play tested.
1) Fighting a main boss in the Crown of Command instead of the command spell
2) Command Spell mechanic. If you miss with the Command spell, you may gain a spell if your craft allows. You may then cast a spell or discard any spell that you hold.

if a fireball spell works, can you take the defeated enemy as a trophy?
-
ok, so if I have 2 items with before combat ability, I should keep the best one and sell/trade the other one, correct?
-
Still new to the game. If you have more than 1 "before combat" option, such as the hero's ability, allies' ability, item(s), etc, how many can you use?
Thanks in advance.

Thanks, that's what I thought, but my friend was convinced otherwise.

If Gladiator attacks Wizard who as the dragonflame wand, the Wizard opts to use it before battle begins. The wand works so Gladiator loses a life. Can the Gladiator still attact the Wizard that turn, or does his turn end because he lost a life?

Can I
a) shatter the item in the concealed pouch?
b) shatter the concealed pouch?
c) shatter the bag of holding?
d) any item inside the bag of holding
I believe the card reads if you lose the bag of holding, all items in it are lost as well. If so, then no reason to shatter 1 item in the bag, just shatter the bag.

I don't have the card in front of me, but my questions is this: If Cerebus is on the Portal of Power, and I am on the castle at the start of my turn. I roll a 4 for movement. Can I attempt to pick lock/break the down down, and if successful, then encounter the Cerebus. Assuming I defeat her/him/it, I end my turn on Plain of Peril. Or must I land exactly on the Cerebus to battle it. Then attempt to "go up" next turn?

Can you cast Nullify Magic on yourself? The card states ",,,on any character."
-
I know counterspell and reflection would work. Does Invisibility or Cloak of shadows? Destroy magic would work as well, I assume. Any others?
Thanks in advance.

Just to clarify: Land on woods/forest (with axe) and encounter that space per normal. Turn ends. Start of next turn, declare building raft and immediately place raft card in inventory. Then you cross the Storm River instead of rolling?
-
That makes sense, thanks

If the Minstrel attempts to charm an animal and fails, can he choose to fight it instead, that same turn? Or must he land back on it? I assume he can choose NOT to fight it if he wishes, but want to make sure. Thanks.
-
If I have an axe and land in a woods space, do I declare I am building a raft when I first land and do not draw a card/encounter character/upturned card? Or do declare building a raft after I encounter the space? If so, can I still declare building a raft if I lose a life or turn? Thanks.

Please settle a dispute. If you cast mesmerism on a mule or horse & cart, do you also get the items carried by that follower?
I say no, my buddies say yes.
If the answer is no, does that player get to choose which items are dropped, assuming he is now over the limit of objects he can carry? or does he have to drop the items that were on the mule/h&c?

Scenario: The evil (Rolled a 1 at the Mystic) Minstrel, who has a lion animal follower, the dark unicorn follower, and the staff of Mastery with a Demon mastered, is turned into a slimy little toad. The wizard plays next, and lands on that space where he dropped his items/followers.
a) Is the Demon still mastered, does it go to the discard pile, or does the wizard now fight him?
b) Is the dark unicorn still a follower, or does it revert to an enemy spirt? If the demon must be fought, I supposed its a craft battle vs. 17 craft?
c) Is the lion now an enemy-animal that must be defeated, or does the lion go to the discard pile?

The warrior was one of the (too many) characters on the board. Perhaps he was rolling for combat
or he had a riding horse
Also, there was a Toad character on the crown of command. I guess someone's random spell worked

I guess it helps if we actually READ the card.
I "think" the +1 movement with Horse & Cart was on the 2nd edition card, but not 100% sure. -
My friend and I decided to let you guys settle a dispute between us. He says if you have both the riding horse and horse & cart, you can roll 2 dice for movement AND add 1. I say you only add 1 if you roll 1 die. A pizza is riding on this..... Thanks.

Was there any thought of redesigning the inner region, as far as making the Pit Fiends space harder to pass? Strength of 4 doesn't seem right to me.

One (or more?) of the expansion decks introduced Equipping Allies. Something like "when you draw this card, decide if it is an item or an ally. If you choose item, place an exhaustion token on the card." Does this mean if I choose item, i can have 2 "regular" allies as well? Cant recall what card it is, but there is one that if choose it as an item, its now a Weapon: Dagger. I assume its Activate to use item, and i can only have 1 other card that says Weapon on it. Please let me know if this is correct. Thanks in advance.
P.S. I love this game! I was hooked the first time I played it.

Thanks. Not sure how I missed that.

related question: If a character drops an item on a regular space, such as woods for example, at the beginning of his next turn, if the item is still there, can he pick it up? or does he have to move and land back on the space?
