  1. I've been an xwing player since Wave 1, and I remember sitting around after league night matches discussing what it would be like if FFG took this game a step further. Like zooming the camera out to see where these little fighters are being launched from....like a Star destroyer!!!!.

This was the same for me.  The minute Armada was announced I sold all my X-wing stuff (suckers).  The reason I say suckers is because I doubt I would get the same price for X-wing now.  I easily got almost full price for my used stuff.

And I can sum up why Armada in 2 words.  Which most people already have...

    STAR DESTROYER!

And strangely enough as much as I love the Empire and star destroyers I actually enjoy paying the Rebels more.  The tactics are so different for both sides.

  2. Hello B-wings

Moldy, a YT-1300 and 4 B-wings along with the Independence.

84 points, and my B-wings moving 4, considering enemy fighters as heavy, and you can't attack the until you kill the 7 health YT-1300...oh my..

Of course its not as easy as that with maneuvering but I see some nice combo's.  Sure bring no squadrons now...

  3. Anyone notice in the ISD preview there are 2 of the same upgrade card there?

And it wasn't one of the cards previewed.

My guess is its an offensive retrofit since the ISD I can have 2. But it would have to have some wording saying you are allowed to have 2 of the same card.

    Any thoughts?

The rules are very clear that a ship can have two cards of the same upgrade type (e.g. two Offensive Retrofits), provided you have the slots, but not two cards with the same name (e.g. two Expanded Hangars).

That's my point. it shows 2 cards with the same name.

I can't see them having 2 of the same cards and a ship not being able to use both.

  6. I'm a software developer (keep in mind I've never done mobile development)  and the Randomize key word in code is not actually random.  You have to do a bunch of other crazy stuff to make it actually be random.   I would never trust an app the "claims" to be random.

You constantly get things like the situation you are explaining here.

  7. It means that the enemy squadrons at range one of the instigator are engaged and cant move.

I get that part, but what about this?

are treated as if they are engaged by 2 additional squadrons

Why does it matter that there are 2 additional squads tying them down?

This sentence would mean that even if they were already tied down they are tied down by 2 more.  why?

    • The Instigator title reads, "Enemy squadrons at distance 1 are treated as if they are engaged by 2 additional squadrons, even if they are not currently engaged."

Ok because i'm far too lazy too look through 6 pages of the Raider Breakdown.

What does this mean?  Why does it matter if how many squadrons are engaging with?  Am I missing something or is this some other ability we are not aware of yet?

  8. Discord is super easy, runs in your browser, and is farrrrr better than Skype. Also, Google+?

STOP TRYING TO MAKE GOOGLE+ HAPPEN, GRETCHEN.

lol you must be a Crapple Sheeple.

"I love having 17 accounts for 17 different apps instead of one,  and having to pay for dedicated servers, that's why I won't use Google+"

Lets see, my one google account does the equivalent of..

    Facebook

    Skype

    Any sort of Forum

    Teamspeak

    Photobucket

    email

    whatsapp

    SMS

    Dropbox

    iTunes

    MS Office

    And does it all better.

Ya you are right Goolge+ totally sucks...

    Google is GOLD baby!

  9. I believe they do.

    A new Chancellor

Like so many others, Mon Mothma has found a new role within the New Republic. The once Senator is the Chancellor of the newly formed Galactic Senate, seated on Chandrila. Interestingly, the position still maintains the emergency powers granted by Palpatine… for now.

    From this article.

  10. It's great....but it's only great once you are in danger of death.

Since it's "discarded tokens", you aren't going to get much benefit until most of your tokens are permanently gone. You can bet any competent player will try damned hard to ensure that your ship doesn't last long once you're down to say...1 brace.

That's good for the balance of course, but something to beware of. You'll get harder hitting at the exact same time you become easier to kill, making you priority target #1.

And by the time you are in danger of death no one is in your front arc.  At least currently.

  11.

ISD-1 will be able to control 7 Fighters.  Try focusing on that Carrier rebel scum... :D

how do you get 7? You can have only 1 copy of each upgrade so no, double Expanded Hanger Bays

    RRG P.13

    Upgrade Cards

When building a fleet, upgrade cards can be equipped to ships by adding their fleet point costs to the total fleet point cost. For each upgrade icon in a ship’s upgrade bar, it may equip one upgrade card with the matching upgrade icon.

    • Equipped upgrade cards are placed next to the ship card to which they are equipped.

    • A Rebel ship cannot equip an Imperial upgrade card, and an Imperial ship cannot equip a Rebel upgrade card. A card’s faction affiliation, if any, is indicated by the faction’s symbol to the left of the fleet point cost.

A ship cannot have more than one upgrade card with the “Modification” trait.

Expanded Hangers is not a "Modification" card, so you could stack double. It was the first thing I thought of when I saw offensive retrofit x 2

nope found it in the FAQ.

Fleet Building, p.6 This entry should include the following bullet point: “A ship cannot equip more than one copy of the same upgrade card.”
