Fnoffen got a reaction from Network57 in 5 Player rebalanced
As I've said, and you've agreed with it, the exact percentage is totally beside the point of my comment. The point was that statistically, it shouldn't happen more often than once in every 20 games or so that a player would get seated at that specific part of the board while playing the Embers on this specific 5-player map.
However, I also DID make a suggestion for a new kind of red-bordered system to take the place of the Supernova for this specific map, which would make the entire probability debate moot since not even the Muatt would be able to travel through that system.

Fnoffen got a reaction from XCoconutMonkey06X in Sexism.....Sexism never changes......
The fact that most people looking at the models automatically identify the BoS Outcast as male says more about the patriarchal society we live in than about FFGs forward thinking or lack thereof. One would think that recent films and series with strong females in armor (Game of Thrones Brienne of Tarth and Star Wars General Phasma for example) would've changed that.
One might also add that both Briennes and Phasmas armor are indistinguishable from the male versions, as is the Power Armor.

Fnoffen got a reaction from Conza89 in Rules question answers from FFG.
I just wanted to start this thread as a place where everyone could post the answers they get on rules querys sent in to FFG.
(The rules query form can be found here: https://www.fantasyflightgames.com/en/more/customer-service/)
It would probably be a good idea to use a singular format in the posts here such as:
Q: [Query as brief as possible]
A: [Answer as gotten]
For example:
Q: Can you sacrifice a unit not in the active system for the Yin Devotion ability?
A: No, the sacrificed unit must come from the active system.
And limit one answer per post.
Again: just a suggestion from my part as it otherwise can get quite tedious to look for an answer in this forum.

Fnoffen got a reaction from Conza89 in Capacity reduced by PDS with Graviton Laser, question
I'd say yes you can assign PDS hits to Fighters. Thematically, I see it as a Fighter squadron sacrificing itself to protect the Carrier, and by extension the other fighter squads, by going on a collision course with whatever projectile it might be.

Fnoffen got a reaction from Marinealver in Playing Distant Suns with planet traits.
I might've let Alien Technology and Abandined Freighter switched places for thematic purposes but other than that I think it looks good.

Fnoffen got a reaction from GromSky in Nekrovirus Ground Forces
It IS an immensly powerful FS-abiliťy.
And quite thematic. It makes me see the Nekro Infantry as those tentacly floating robots from the Matrix Trilogy. Or Decepticons...

Fnoffen got a reaction from Almeric in Burdened
Could work. I might actually make it so you get one less movement per item above the limit.
I might also have the S SPECIAL tile grant one extra inventory slot due to incresed strength.
Maybe also have P allow you to Scout from one space away, E allow you to recover 1 extra HP per Rest, C allow you to have one extra companion, I allow you to gain 33% extra XP rounded down, A give one extra movement per Move and L grant one reroll.

Fnoffen got a reaction from Almeric in Inventory size and instant loot
The way I see it, if I were in the wasteland and find a can of beans but have no space in my pack to put it, I wouldn't drop (and apparently destroy) a way more useful item (such as an extra weapon or armor) just so I can put the beans in my pack before eating them. I'd just rather friggin eat 'em straight up. Right outta the can. With my hands.

I'm suspect the OP is trolling, which makes me wonder how this thread was even allowed to post, considering that every post I make is being policed by moderators...
but I'd like to chime in, if that is okay.
I mean, if I was an SJW, I would be in all caps right now "did you just assume the gender of the BOS and the Super Mutant characters?!"
I am not an SJW, just an avid fan of the Fallout Universe.
I use caps(not the currency, the other kind of caps) for emphasis, not anger.
This game has
The Vault Dweller, who is clearly male.
The Wastelander, who is clearly female
The BOS Outcast, whose gender is not visible, considering that the BOS has both males and females and they both look exactly the same in the power armor and there are several prominent female BOS characters in across all the games who all wear power armor.
The Ghoul, who is clearly male, but also a ghoul...although, it IS established in the video games that ghouls do have working...parts... and there are even ghoul prostitutes to cater to certain people's "preferences"
and The Super Mutant, whom as others above have already stated is androgynous and sterile. Several super mutants in the video games have asserted their gender. one(I belive its name is Fawkes, you find it in Fallout 3) claims to be female and explains that male and female super mutants look the same. while in new vegas, you find a super mutant companion that is female and talks like a granny and wears a granny wig to express her gender. however, given that they are sterile, I'm leaning toward the idea that the majority of super mutants are gender neutral or genderless and they themselves, do not have gender expression in their society as most of them don't even remember their lives as humans and probably don't even know what sex they were to begin with.
so, what we have is
NOT
4 males,
1 female,
WE HAVE
1 male
1 female
1 undeclared
1 neuter
1 walking corpse, formerly male, possibly with working male plumbing...
I would say that's actually pretty diverse and progressive, IMO.
I mean, the ghoul DOES start off vilified, so people in the wasteland might not be as open minded as I am,but hey.

Fnoffen reacted to mwmcintyre in Agenda scoring clarificaton
Just so are aware, FFG will NEVER respond to rules questions here in the forums. These forums are for the community. If you want to get an official ruling from FFG, they very specifically have a place on this site to submit questions/clarifications regarding rules.

Fnoffen got a reaction from mwmcintyre in Correct procedure for gaining a Level?
I just sent the following in:
"There has surfaced a certain amount of confusion about the proper steps of leveling up. The Learn to Play and the Rules Reference state differing ways. Let's say you're effectivley lvl3 and have the I, A and L on your character sheet and the XP peg is on L. I then proceed to kill a lvl 3 enemy and thus gain 3 XP. Now comes the differing part.
Do I
a) apply 1 XP, pause to level up (Gaining, say, an S) and then apply the remaining 2 XP
OR
b) apply all 3 XP, ending on A, and then level up, again gaining an S?"

Fnoffen reacted to Gallanteer in Expansion
With the game's first reprint run already on the boat, it surely indicates that the game has sold well. Hopefully this adds more weight to creating an expansion or two.

Fnoffen reacted to GromSky in who is winner?
I think the answer is obvious. At the time when there are no strategy cards on hand, the order of players is counted clockwise, starting with the speaker. This is logical again, when you start the next strategic phase, the player sitting to the speaker (or the speaker himself), and take a more advanced strategy card. So, the one who is sitting closer to the speaker, or the speaker himself, will be the winner in the described case.

Fnoffen reacted to thart400 in Nekro Virus in Deluxe Rulebook
I just finished reading the Deluxe Rulebook in anticipation of my first go through with the 4th edition tomorrow! So pumped! Not sure if this has been posted before, but thought this was an interesting easter egg... on the last page of the rulebook for the Nekro Virus there is some binary numbers. I was curious if it actual said anything. It does!

Fnoffen reacted to Vilnic in Are Rider or Agendas Resolved First?
pg 7 of the Rules Reference
Outcomes 8.22 sub-dot 2
After resolving the outcome of the agenda, resolve any abilities that were dependent upon the predicting outcome
So it sounds like the vote happens, everyone destroys down to their 2 Dreads & 4 Cruisers, and then the player gets to add a Dread

Fnoffen reacted to DoctorHam in Important question for painters: What vault is your deweller from?
Debating between 13 and 21. Fallout 3 was my first foray into the series, but between that and New Vegas I was hooked on post-apocalypse settings for good. New Vegas was one I enjoyed a heck of a lot more for sure, but the Vault 21 jumpsuit you get there isn't as iconic as 13 or 101. Flip side is I never played Fallout 1 to completion. I'll probably wind up going with 13, though, just because it's more recognizable and pays better homage to the series as a whole.
