  2. I have seen that ad, and I don't remember seeing Cally, but it does show the actual character card for Anders. He is a pilot. You can see the character stand for Gaeta too. Actually, I here is the ad and I do see Cally, she's an NPC you say?
  3. Try to drag out the game as long as possible pre-NC, since there's about no way to lose food after NC.
  4. One of the first games we played with the expansion, one my friends played Cavil and used his OPG to draw three Super Crisis cards at the ressurection ship. He never got a chance to use any of them because the humans got to NC by his next turn and then launched before he had another turn. He basically did nothing the entire game.
  5. Cavil's OPG is epic for dealing the deathblow for the humans. Too bad he can't ussually take advantage of it because of agenda.
  6. This topic should definately find a place on the FAQ.
  7. Occasionally, our group will randomize seating after we played a couple of times in the same seats. It seems to alters things to have a different person to your right and left.
  8. Yea, it definately matters, but I wouldn't go so far as to move people around.
  9. We turn over our character card when we reveal to indicate that the card is essentially blank after you reveal. Also note, that cylon players don't receive a crisis step during their turn, so Roslyn's ability wouldn't come into play anyway.

But even so, it seems more fruitful to do other stuff to harm the fleet. Main Batteries just seems so limiting. Why do you think they are critical? I don't understand, the Pegasus CIC is one of the best ways to take care of a Base Star and the Main Batteries are a very efficient way to get rid of raiders...almost as good as a Maximum Firepower. If you use Kat's Hotshot ability or a Strategic Planning card, you can almost entirely elimate the ability to hurt the fleet with those loctions.
  11. risner said: We have never used Press Room and likley never will. This seems to be crazy to me. The Press Room is one of the absolute best locations in the game. Sit in the Press Room and wait for an XO for 4 politics cards, great way to fill your player's hands up after a nasty crisis, and politics cards are definately a canidate for best card color.

Nobody said validation. All we're saying is her drawback isn't as bad as you make it out to be because the President usually has a hard time holding onto their cards anyway. As James McMurray already said: If she can't hold onto her cards as a result of being president, she can't be as effective a president as any other character in the game, because she won't have the skill cards she needs to activate the president's quarters when she's XO'd. That's not any issue any other character has, so the argument that the president never has any skill cards in hand only supports the position that Roslin is the worst candidate for president. Worse than Apollo? He has to discard randomly for all those food and water shortages, and he can't take advantage of his alert ability when he's on Colonial One. On top of that, he's the first character in line after the political leaders.

All we're saying is her drawback isn't as bad as you make it out to be because the President usually has a hard time holding onto their cards anyway. Is she the best at being President? No, nobody said that she was. However, her drawback doesn't make her so terrible that I would advocate spending an action and a bunch of cards to give the title to someone else who could well be a Cylon.
  14. I've found that super crisises are far less common in the expansion since the Cylon Leader doesn't get one and cylons don't get one when they get executed. (which is common)
  15. I think Rosyln makes a great President...probably not the best President, due to her disadvantage, but it doesn't handicap her so much that I would give up an action to give up the Presidency to someone who could be a cylon. The card issue isn't a big deal because of what's been said before, as President, it's good to find uses for your cards ASAP, because you never know when a crisis is going to drain them from you. One thing that hasn't been mentioned is that Rosyln makes a great mechanic in a pinch. She can easily get Repair cards with consolidate power and her handicap does not affect repair. She's actually one of my favorite characters.
