  1. I was playing as the Assassin and it just came up in a game so...  Can you Assassinate with the warhorse in your possesion?

When you assassinate someone or something, since it is still battle, can you then add your craft to your strength to then roll a dice and your opponent does not get to?  It doesn't make since to "assassinate" someone while on a "warhorse" but it seems to make sense by reading what the cards actually do "in game".

Also, I came across a few Quest Rewards that had me wondering...

Good Luck Knot, Ironskin Charm, Might of Giants and Chant of Wisdom. They all say "Keep this card. Increase your (craft, strength, etc.) value by 1." What do these cards do?  I always played them as essentially "gain 1 craft" but realized that this may be incorrect. The spell Random on a 2 or 3 says you lose Strength/Craft (all but strength and craft values...), this makes me believe that these Quest Rewards would only increase your base number but not actually increase your stats.  If that is the case, then are these cards nearly worthless?  If you already have 5 craft but your base is 3 and you draw the Chant of Wisdom, Quest Reward, does it only increase your base craft to 4 but your craft is still only 5?!?  I'm really confused as to what these cards do now, please help.

    Thanks,

  2. new to forums but long time player and i was trying to get some questions answered about a few spells.

    1.  enchant blade:  "cast at the start of your turn. place this card on one of your weapons. the weapon is now considered a magic object and adds an additional 1 to your strength in battle."  so can you cast this spell on a weapon that is already a magic object?  i want to say no since the spell says it is "now considered a magic object" but the spell seems to only targe "one of your weapons" not non-magic...

    2.  time steal:  "cast on any character at the start of his turn. that character must immediately end his turn. then, you immediately take an additional turn."  what exactly does this spell do?  in a 2 player game, if player A casts the spell at the start of player B's turn...  does player A then take 2 turns before play resumes to normal?  and in a 4 player game, what happens?  my assumption is to look at the card by the name,  time steal,  as in you just take your turn in place of someone else's turn.  so in a 4 player game,  player A casts the spell on player C's turn so the turn order goes from player A's turn (which was player C's turn) to player D...  seems odd but that is how I am interpreting the spell.

    3.  Temporal Vortex:  "cast at the start of your turn, before you move. take 2 successive turns before play passes to the next player...."  does this basically mean, take an extra turn after this one?  i dont understand the "take 2 successive turns" part of the spell. the spell Temporal warp says: "you may take 3 successive turns instead of one before play passes to the next player" which i understand but if the spells are supposed work essentially the same, why doesn't temporal vortex just say take an extra turn after this one?  why the successive turns languange? it seems excessive...

    thanks

  3. I was so excited to hear that they were making a 4th edition of Talisman that I purchased the Black Industries release as soon as I found it. Now that FFG is releasing it I am just thrilled, especially with the release of a new expansion. I see they have an upgrade pack for the Black Industries version to bring it up to FFG standards but it doesn't include a game board. Does this mean that the game boards will be the same? Does anyone know this yet? And if it's not the same what is different between the two, will it just be easier to get the new 4th edition?

    Thanks,
