  1. My girlfriend recently bought it, and its game play is very fun, and the game materials are high quality. It's also a nice change of mood to a lighthearted setting, as compared to my usual marathon sessions of Chaos in the Old World and Arkham Horror.
  2. Agreed. It can be assumed that two of any card played in the same region will double the effect.
  3. Our campaign features 3 PCs, and two of which have gone as according to plan, where mine has been well, unexpected. The Slaanesh apostate gained a daemonic name and the mark of Slaanesh, which considering his infamy was only in the upper 20s and 30s at the time was rather impressive. The Nurgle heretek gained mechanoid and wreathed in chaos, so he really gained what any heretek strives for and a lovely swarm of flies. My unaligned renegade first gained warp eater, which didn't alter much, but soon after gained animal hybrid insect. I've chosen to have him mutate into a human locust hybrid which with warpeater has no need for food or water. Only chaos knows what he will develop into from here.
  4. As for those inquiring about the times on the weekend when the game would take place as of right now it looks like we would not have a set time every weekend, but rather would plan weekly around everyone's schedule so a flexible weekend schedule would be ideal as opposed to banking on the same hours every week. Email me at arkuzma1337@gmail.com if interested.
  5. Time zone for myself and the GM is UTC -06:00. As for the method of playing the game it hasn't been decided yet but will most likely be over AIM, Skype, or IRC.
  6. Currently looking for 2-3 more people for a weekly online game on the weekends. There is already have a GM so only looking for those interested in rolling a character. No specifics on the campaign as of yet, I'll check this forum daily for replies, please leave your email so I may contact you.
  7. I would be very interested as well.

So, you're implying that the player characters have just been sitting on their asses until you start play? I have no problem with my players trading in some of their equipment at character creation, as long as it is for equipment that is reasonably balanced compared to what they are starting with. In my opinion, something that creates more diversity and variation between the characters can only be a good thing. No I see it more as the items/skills in your archetype starting package, and the items you attain in equipment selection/skills you purchase with your starting experience are the items and talents from your character's past ventures. I meant I would restrict players from say trading in a laspistol from their starting gear to reduce the acquisition modifier on an extremely rare item. That seems to take some of the fun out of progression if they can start with really great gear, and seems rather anachronistic since the player is making decisions for the heretic prior to the first adventure. I wouldn't disagree with how you've described your trading however, if the gear traded for is reasonably balanced then you're not really making decisions for the character before play but merely changing their back story from "owned a power blade to owned a chainsword" and keeping the gear progression on the same level.

  10. Ah I figured that it was the talent that was correct, but I did indeed overlook that a focus power test is a completely different test from a standard skill check. Thanks for the clarification.
  11. While building a character with the "Warp Sense" talent I was under the impression that its text, "Psyniscience tests can be made as a free action rather than a half action" applied to the precognition, glimpse, and prenatural awareness psychic powers as all their focus power tests were half action psyniscience tests. However, upon reading the Psyniscience entry in the Skills section I noticed that it lists a Psyniscience test as a full action. I'm inclined to say that the Skill section is probably a typo and that psyniscience tests are a half action since both the talent warp sense and the three spells I previously mentioned indicate it is a half action. If anyone can lend some insight into which portion of the book is correct and if I'm correct in assuming that warp sense will reduce the spell's action length from half action to free action it would be much appreciated.
  12. That's very true, both examples of mine were melee traits/weapons on primarily ranged classes. Thanks for your input!
  13. I'm a rather inexperienced GM, but looking over the starting gear I'm concerned that if I stick with the defaults some classes may not have many ways to go in regards to gear progression. For example the Sorcerer starts with any force weapon and the Heretek can start the game with a servo arm that deals 2d10+14 dam with 10 pen! Am I misinterpreting how powerful these weapons and traits are? Or is Black Crusade's character progression more focused on talents and gifts of the gods?
  14. I pre-ordered Miskatonic on Amazon and it is set to be delivered on the 14th. I am also expecting the revised dark pharaoh on the 7th, so anyone who is obtaining Miskatonic in another way can probably expect to see it earlier.
  15. Though undeniably it is a very good item I would say that it seems to be reasonable in regards to how difficult it is to obtain. If Playing with the herald then a 1/22 chance of obtaining this item also constitutes a 66% chance (provided you aren't blessed) of becoming cursed with a -1 stamina penalty each turn.
