In preparation for the arrival of the Shadowed Paths expansion, I've finally completed work on the Villains of Eriador:

Alongside the video I produced for Gulgotar, I've also produced a couple of PDF guides detailing how I painted Coalfang and Atarin if you're interested.

There has been absolutely no suggestion, hint, or other representation that anything new for D2e will be coming out ... quite the opposite ... FFG has EXPRESSLY stated that there will be NO MORE CONTENT for D2e.
There HAVE been discussions and AMAs, etc. about some exciting thing that may come out RELATED TO or A PART OF the Terrinoth realm.  That's it.  Period.
I am not being pessimistic.  I am stating facts.
Many people on this forum as well as BGG keep misconstruing what has been stated into some dream that will result in D2e content.  You all need to join reality.
Don't get me wrong ... I love the game ... I wish I was wrong ... but I am just repeating what FFG personnel have themselves stated.

Descent, (1e, 2e) is a dead product.  All of the what-if-ing aside, all of the prognosticating and wishful dreams are just that.  This forum will soon go the same path as the D1e forum ... unavailable.

I do think that boardgame world changed a few years ago. I used to be very excited from many new games and now there are very few to none to do such to me.

I have updated all of the PDFs within the Quest Vault Assets to show only the ID for the file name.  In addition, I have updated the Quest Vault.xlsx spreadsheet to show the expansion requirements for each scenario.
I have decided NOT to attempt to rename the PDFs to the Title name of the scenarios because too many of them had nonsense names, illegal characters for file names, etc.
Therefore, you will need to access the spreadsheet to know what IDs match with which scenario name.

I am in the process of updating the spreadsheet with the Descent Requirements for each custom quest.  Once that is done, I will also rename all of the PDFs from just the ID to also include the actual name of the quest.

Today, I added to my Quest Vault Assets DropBox, a new folder called PDFs.
This folder contains 3,747 PDFs of custom quests that were stored within the Quest Vault.  They are currently labeled with the ID value.
Also within this folder is an excel spreadsheet called Quest Vault.xlsx which contains much of the information that relates to each of the custom quests, including a correlation between the ID and the TITLE of the quest.

All of The Chains that Rust boards are now within the DropBox as well.
All of The Chains that Rust Lieutenants and Monsters are now within the DropBox as well.

Mmm ... you are still speaking of FFG as if it were still a company, but it does not exist anymore!!! Today there is only Asmodee with their selling strategies. FFG is just a brand. This fact explains a lot of things 😉

I also want to note that the LoTR game was pure garbage in every sense. It had 0 redeeming qualities besides, maybe, "very non intrusive app." Enemies had no personality, map had no personality. And everything was done with a recycled Runebound 3 side-mechanic which wasn't even that well received. First game my group ever sold. When we lost a mission because we failed a check to eat soup and it gave Aragorn schizophrenia, that's when we knew the game was a flop.

I started playing HoT and I really enjoy the mechanics of the game. Streamlined rules.
I hope we will see an Expansion one day and a campaign mode.

This really sucks because I finally bought all the Imperial Assault stuff after they added new app campaigns for both properties last year.  Now both lines are officially cancelled.
Guess it's back to boycotting FF, and wishing I hadn't spent as much as I had on both games.

I began the re-creation of all of the monster cards (front, back, base game, expansions, conversion kit, etc.).  This means re-doing 332 cards.  While this is going to be a significant effort, it is an extremely satisfying one, as the monster cards are examples of cards that currently are really poor when viewed via the Card Viewer.  The newly created, hi res, vibrant color cards are beautiful in comparison, and they can even be read by someone as old and broken as I !
Today, I created all of the templates, and began the creation of the actual cards.  I have updated the following cards, working in alphabetical order:
Arachyura
Bandit
Bane Spider
Barghest
Beastman
Blood Ape
Bone Horror
Broodwalker
Burrowing Horror
Carrion Drake
Cave Spider
Changeling
Chaos Beast
If you look at these, and then look at the remaining cards that are undone, you will notice a significant difference.

So Asmodee vision about "selling well" is quite ... steep since the Sadler's said that the game sold well 😉 Giving a good service to players is not in their targets since they are not producing an expansion for a really good game 😞

All the hype is for The Lord of the Rings: Journeys in Middle-earth, but this is the game they should have developed.
After Asmodee acquisition, FFG fails every opportunity to develop good games: only money is important now 😞
