  1. I may use them against AO that have not won a single game (Glaaki thats you). To make the game harde and Visa Versa (your a evil bastard Yog'Sohoth).
  2. Sorry about the size. Tried to just get the front side from strange eons but it would export it as solid black. Would be nice to find a better picture to but this one is cool. Went the generic cultist route. After all they’re the most common monsters in the cup. Tried make this guy a little different in the final combat. Basically it seems that high will characters will give this AO some trouble. Seeing that combat modifier could be as high @ -12 (playing DH, KH, BGotW). Also tried to make it hard just to ignore cultist as they will try and find you. Hooping that it's clear enough that their stalkers and punt the part in there about moving on black if there is no investigator for them to reach and yes they can move twice a Mythos phase. Considering the Environment or Rumor also has crescents move. Further more tried to stop people from killing them and keeping them as permanent trophies to negate their annoyingness.
  3. Took me longer to try and figure out how to post this guy than it did to make him. Tried to make a character based on myself. Thinking maybe there is a better way to word my ability but basically I can pay Sanity for extra dice when making a skill check. So I could drive myself insane.

  6. Sometimes its good to not have an ally available when you run into him in an encounter. For example that one ally from CotDP that gives you a tome when he joins you. This is bad ju-ju when Y'Golnac is the AO and infact made me loss because of it. I use to play where you could get any ally but quite that soon after my investigator had to get a buss just to move around Arkham. You guys ever seen that Sprint commercial where all those people are following that guy around? Well that's how my investigator felt with all his allies.
  7. Where do you get the templates to make these guys?
  8. ha ha this looks like fun can't wait... though my groups been doing things backwards. Started Scenario 9 and working our way down! Cursed Relics is going to be fun, terror level 10 please and Mi-Go's are just going to be a waste of time. Also for the Special Rules about Unique items being replaced with a Skill as a investigator's starting items. So does this mean Jack and Murphy are going to start the game with two extra skills?
  9. It depends on what expansions where playing. For example if where playing AH and KH thats a total of 22 allies. We will deal out 11 at random and return the rest to the box. The way we play Kane is that when he gains an ally he may gain one that was returned to the box. So in my example he could get one of the 11 returned to the box or one of the 11 at Ma's (note: this works for his random staring ally too) but he could not gain allies from CotDP or DW because we are not using those expansions.
  10. The Scenarios make it harder...so try those but you have to dig for them under pages it's @ 27 pages worth of digging!
  11. Looks like the Sister's swag adds up to $35 using Mr. Squashua method... Blessing 10 + HW 4 + Cross 3 + Spells 2*4 + Skill 10 = 35!
  12. My strategy in this game is to stay away from the thing with more teeth than brain cells. Also a random flamethrower is nice!
  13. All 17 in DH minus Wilson 19. Everyone from KH is 18 except for Adams 20 and Robinson and Kane 17.
  14. I figured the same for Common, Unique and the Ally but no to every thing else. I'm basing the values off of the River Docks. Special (Silver Twilight Lodge, Retainer, Blessing, Curse -5 Dollars) I figured at 5 dollars. The Reason easily enough for the blessing is that you have to pay a Gate or 5 Monster trophies to get one and those have a value of 5 Dollars at the River Docks. Blessing seem similar enough to the other Special cards so same value. Spells have a Cost of 2.50 because it cost you 5 dollars to shop for 2 and you keep one. Clue Tokens have a cost of 2.50 same reasons as blessing. I left skills out because everyone gets one but I valued them at 4 dollars, similar reason to spells, you pay 8 for 2 at the Administration build at keep one. But back to Mary I could see giving here a Clue Token as a fixed item because it will go well with her “Faith” ability.
  15. Word Walker (@ 24 dollars) gets 6 dollars more stuff that Sharpe (@ 18 Dollars). Maybe give Mary a Random Unique (@ 5 Dollars) and Common Item (@ 3 Dollars). So that should bring here up to 25 Dollars worth of starting equipment or even replace the random Common Item with a clue token or the random Unique Item with 2 Clue Tokens.
  16. Is it just me or does she seems to have been given the shaft? True her stats add up to 16 higher than average that being 15. But here ability seems to be lacking "Guardian Angel". There is an unofficial official additional ability that one can give here to allow here to keep here blessing. Suppose if it was on her card it would look like this. "Faith Upkeep: Sister Mary may discard a clue token to re-roll a failed blessing check." Furthermore she only starts the game with about 17 dollars worth of stuff (I didn't include here skill in this cost sense everyone gets a skill) and Chen start off with even fewer items about 15 dollars but here ability and skill more than make up for that. So what are your guys/gals opinion on this mater?
  17. Good point he is good at using Tomes that do sanity damage but sadly he only has 3 movement to spend so he's not going far after reading that Tome. Vs. Color maybe a little help from some clue tokens thanks to his 3 fight.
  18. I don't see any problem with people having investigator's devoured on purpose. After all it's going to take them a few turns to transfer items and get the investigator devoured while in the meantime gates and monster are appearing. If power gamers want to abuse the rules let them. This game is geared towards more of a RPG feel anyways.
  19. I get it Walter's Sanity is a valuable resource that should be saved because of his Strong Mind ability and this whole time I've been using him to cast spells with his lore of 6 and always having the Sanity to pay for that spell because of his Strong Mind protecting his Sanity from failed Horror checks and Arkham Encounters. I'm going to use him only for moving around the board with 3 movements and evading all monster collecting clue tokens. I get it every time you cast a spell for example Dread Curse sanity cost 2 is like a sanity cost of 4 on Walter’s so your overpaying by 2 and that’s stupid (sarcasm) but what good is all his sanity if your not going to use it (besides not going insane but that can be said for any investigator)?
  20. Avi_dreader said: Every time you cast a spell with him, you're basically throwing away a sanity point... An extra one, I mean. Exactly the reason Walter's is good at casting spells because usually he will have the Sanity to pay for them due to his resistance to losing Sanity to random game events vs. Drake who usually will not be able to cast his spells due to lack of Sanity thanks to failed Horror Checks and random encounters.
  21. Is there some generic sheet out there some where that we can fill out?
  22. Special Rules: Any investigator may sacrifice two sanity for two clue tokens as man times as they want per turn. ... Would this ability be the same as Duke's or Flesh Ward's? For example you fail a Horror Check vs. a Dhole and instead of losing the 4 sanity you pay 2 sanity for 2 clue tokens and spend a clue token to try and pass the Horror Check or would you have to anticipate the failure of the Horror check so pay the sanity before the Horror Check?
  23. From DH rules pg.6 Retiring Investigators A player may voluntarily retire an investigator with two or more total Injury and/or Madness cards. The player simply skips his turn, announces as though his as though his old investigator had been devoured. However, effects that trigger from having been devoured (such as Glaaki's ability to raise th terror level by 2 when an investigator is devoured) do not trigger when an investigator retires. My question is should it say, "skips his next turn" because to me the way it's worded seems like you could retire your investigator during the Mythos phase ("skip your turn" even though it's the end of the turn so your skipping hardly anything) then have a fresh investigator ready for the next turn without really losing a turn.
  24. uh...Harvey is awesome with spells...you know cause 6 lore one of the highest in the game and 7 sanity to pay from!
  25. Yes it's in the rules...look through them
