Allot of the the cards in CotDP are poorley worded so this could be the right way. Note: The one that deals with flying monster leaves them there so I would count those monster towards the limit. Plus no reward for killing them. No, I don't think these Mythos cards remove the monsters. They remove the reward for beating them. The monsters stay on the board and count against the limit. Your right they explenacy (no idea how to spell this word and my comp spell check can't even help me) do not say to remove the Monsters but they hint at it with this leave this card in play until then to indicate this. Similar to how River Breaches the Levees hints that the Exhibit items are removed from the streets if it leaves play. How do you guys play Plague of Insects and River Breaches the Levees? Only confusion they give me is with these lines Investigators that end their turns and end his turn there. I've been playing it as end you movement there.

  3. Hundred Blades maybe you could say some like Swords/ Knifes hand icons count as X. Like Alien Device and Brass Knuckles. The 2nd ability. Any Phase: Exhaust a Sword/ Knife to prevent 1 Stamina loss.
  4. Epic Battle cards are what you need and if there not evil enough for you there may be something wrong with you

This is extremely open and shut. Receiving movement points to spend on getting about town or reading books is something you don't do. Moving to the second outworld area is something you don't do. But getting a movement phase is something that you do, so you can activate cards that are activated at that time. Then you're golden. I don't agree with this. Your movement phase allows you to stand up, period. There are 7 Movement Spells in the game. I think all of them should be forbidden if you are delayed. You are not allowed to move, but you can cast spells to allow you to move? I don't buy it. You can still fight a monster while delayed. So does that mean you can't use anything against it because your delayed and your just a easy target for the monster? Being delayed doesn't skip your movement you just can't move and receive 0 movement points. If it was up to you delayed investigators could not trade/ fight monsters because all the could do is stand up!

But getting a movement phase is something that you do, so you can activate cards that are activated at that time. Then you're golden. The White Ship is more complicated of a question because it is written vaguely. It says "instead of movement" rather than having a regular activation timeframe. That could mean: Instead of physically moving your marker around - in which case you can still read books before you transport yourself to the Dreamlands and then you can cast Find Gate afterwards. Instead of getting movement points - in which case you can't read books but can use Find Gate. Instead of getting a Movement Phase - in which case you can't read books or use Find Gate. Since there's no text to indicate which of those three is being discussed, people are welcome to differing opinions. But the delayed condition is different because it explicitly takes your movement points and not your phase. So books are out and Find Gate is in. -Frank Seems clear to me what you do using the White Ship replaces anything you could normally do during movement i.e. "instead of your normal movement" the Wagon is the same way. So no tomes, spells cast during movement, etc
  7. So if you can't cast Find Gate while delayed you should not be able to cast if after using the White Ship. If you can cast Find Gate while delayed you should be able to cast it after using the White Ship.
  8. I'm going toward "no" due to the replace your movement line there. Same reason you can't use Tomes at the Wagon.
  9. I vote yes. Reason is Yig and he has a Epic battle card that re-curses everyone and how would investigators loss their curses during the final battle if they did not roll? Answer they do roll.
  10. True thematically you sort of have to stretch it but nowhere does it say "all investigators teleport to the nearest area designated for fighting the AO". I sort of view the AO just rampaging through the Town being attacked by a random investigator it happens to cross paths with. Maybe they can trade with help from a Guardian, Bast for example has her cats carry items between investigators.
  11. Azathoth is really hard in single player.

The rules also say you can only trade items if you are in the same location. They also say that during the final battle you can trade items AS IF YOU where in the same location.

  14. I just play her as the card is worded. Lot simpler and if she fight Yig guess where going to Epic Battle.
  15. I always played your where you are on the board when the AO wakes up. So Daisy is in 2nd Area of Dreamlands when the AO wakes she's there during the final battle...so if she had that DH madness where she losses Sanity during the Upkeep in Another World that's though luck. Fern can not heal people unless they where in the same Area when the AO wakes. etc
  16. If your playing KH Shop for Massa Di Requiem Per Shuggay to awaken the AO.
  17. What if you have an encounter that reduces your Stamina to 0 will Michael's Strong body reduce it?
  18. thorgrim said: A couple of things with the Family: Why would you set your Fight high to make a combat check with a potential -7 penalty, to try and get 1 success for each investigator to remove a Doom Token, when you can instead put your Will high to make a Will check with no penalty and only ever need 2 successes to remove a Doom Token, considering you are going to have to make the check each round anyway? Having a Doom Token removed by succeeding this check is far too powerful, a 6 investigator team can potentially beat The Family in 2 turns of combat. Maybe if they succeed the Will check they could gain a clue, this would then give them an extra chance to have a success in either a combat check or later Will check to avoid being devoured, and would stop the investigators from just pumping their Will to maximum and ignoring Fight completely. Random can be an annoying thing to determine when you have 5 or 7 players; you can't just roll a die (for those that even have a d4 or d8). How about this instead "Starting from the first player and moving clockwise around the table, the first investigator with a Cultist trophy must return it to the monster cup and lose 1 Sanity." It's only the first player who has to make the check. So they could have their will up and everyone else have their fight up but keep in mind the highest fight investigators usually have low focus. I don't know about you but their has been more then one time where I roll 10+dice and get not one success so you safety in numbers will drastically go down for each devoured investigator. I'll leave the random to the player discretion if I tried to place how to exactly do it the text would be itty-bitty.
  19. diablo666 I like the death swarm ability but maybe try using less works for the combat abilities because it's a little cluttered.
  20. There we go got a better picture and changed the name to go in more theme with the picture. Was also thinking about making another rule where you can't use Tulzscha as the Herald due to conflicting interest.
  21. Today I killed a Mi-Go and got its Brain Case!
