  1. Delayed Investigators also receive 0 movement points...so no Tomes, etc
  2. You kill a Tcho-Tcho and get Ancient Tome ...you have 3 movement point left so you use it and draw...Summon Monster, that you cast and then...you draw Mi-Go...etc etc
  3. I've made Roland so what good would he be without his nemesis? Ok it's been awhile sense I've read the Dark Tower but here’s the CK. He was worshipped (not sure if I would call it that mainly seemed like they where his puppets but guess it's the same thing?), Vampires, Humanoids with the body of a man but the head of a beast (bird, dog, etc) and Humanoid giant rate like creatures the "Low Men in Yellow Coats" that fancied them selves as human...i.e. would where human mask, very tacky clothing in bright pastel colors and very filthy (vile) creatures. These low men where the focus, sense to me they seemed the most numerous of his worshippers plus to include Vampires and the Beast Men would make the text itty-bitty. Why Stalker and the loss of sanity when they move into an investigators location? Because they would spy on, collect people and the people they would stalk always had an unnerving feeling of being watched. Unstable World ~the CK was in fact trying to destroy all reality itself and the Mystic cards seemed like an appropriate way to convey this idea. So if your shuffled really bad the CK could awaken the first turn and most likely devour everyone. Blood Feast ~he would gain strength from the misery and death of others Start of Battle ~also from the book, seems like you would always have to sacrifice friends to get closes enough to the CK to destroy him. CK attack ~I know it's basically Yig's and originally had him do 1 stamina damage but would get stale mates vs. Lee, McGleen and Chen. CK is a smart Creature so figured he would try to take away your ability to hurt him i.e. the loss of spells, weapons and skills! He has the same Attack Rating (-4 magical resistance) as Nyarlathotep witch seem appropriate to me sense they seem similar to me and had to give him a Doom Track of 13 due to Ole Black 13 from the book. NOTE: Was thinking abut changing his attacks where each investigator must discard 2 investigators cards (spells, common items, rail passes, etc) or be Devoured just so he has his own unique attack. NOTE: NOTE: Not sure what is with the little holes on the card.
  4. Anyone out there use this guy and how could I help update it?
  5. The Rumor from the base game that return a ally to the box at the End of every Mythos phase... it says activity at South Side Streets but the pass condition is at Ma's... a little confusing because the activity should be at Ma's!
  6. We just won took use 3 trys... only reason was because of Bain and Azathoth was 2 away from waking up. players Winthrop ~stopped one gate and sealed the last FTW. Lambeau ~her blood helped. Stanley ~one point 10 clues! Hayes ~worked nicely because she hand 2 skills to cycle though. Morgan ~didn't use his ability once. Robinson ~lucky the Dreamlands was the first Gate...later in the game got "press pass" so 4 clues total for other world travel, plus got Citizen First Class. Last Mythos card was Cursed Relics...close one Score 25!!!
  7. ha ha I've been miss playing the Church this whole time...you can Bless other investigators! lol yup that third eye only good for spells and Martial Arts is a skill last time I checked but then I do think Chen would gain a extra +1 combat check while using the Axe. Thematically she's a Martial Artist so is most likely trained in Armed Combat! i.e. she just knows how to hold the Axe a little better and get that extra Power! than say "Me" who would drop it on my own face...so I would get -3 combat checks while using the Axe.
  8. hmmm...my AH board is all weird and warped maybe I should give them a call.
  9. Would Rex start the game with 4 clues and not 3 due to his Investigator ability aka whenever he gains a clue(s) get gain another one. Does staring stuff counts as gain?
  10. It does seem that Rex is a good character to use on how to interpret the Dark Pharaoh. If you in interpret it that trading a unique item counts as gaining it then like wise Rex would gain infinite clue tokens. If you interpret that you still loss the Stamina with out the rolling for the curse then Rex is worthless vs. Dark Pharaoh. All his player gets to do is watch TV while Rex gets perpetually get knocked out without any chance of losing his curse.
  11. So according to you an investigator who has gotten a fresh Curse i.e. no roll for it would still loss Stamina. Blood Will Boil starts at the beginning of the upkeep and says you loss the Stamina before you roll. So there should be no timing issues with rolling for your Curse. Kate just stops a Gate from opening one her. A Gate won't open if there is an Elder Sigh or Kate. A Gate burst has to remove the Elder Sign first before opening the Gate. So Kate would stop the Gate from opening but not the Elder Sigh being removed. The Gate burst no cares if the Gate opens or not. It just removes the Elder Sigh. Then a Gate opens. Gate Burst do not work like this, “only remove the Elder Sign if the Gate opens,“ because then Gate Burst would not open at a location with an Elder Sign!
  12. Rex doesn't even have a before the roll or in fact he does nothing during his upkeep that effects his curse so something that say before an investigator rolls for their curse losses 1 stamina would not apply to Rex because he doesn't even have a before he roll for his curse timing phase! You play it your way I'll play it mine...this makes sense to me. So are you with the Kate stops Gate Burst group?
  13. You do come back from LiTaS before you do anything else and Rex never rolls to loss his curse so I think he would be safe from Boiling Blood.
  14. jhaelen said: Trading Unique Items seems to be quite a bad idea, since gaining one causes sanity loss every time! Did I interpret this correctly? So, I was reluctant to make any trades ending up with a pretty suboptimal item distribution. Yea, I guess it would work like this...so you could drive investigators Insane just by passing Holy Water back and forth! I think I'm going to ignore this part of the Herald and only play it that when an investigator gains a unique from a non-investigator source. jhaelen said: That was when I noticed a second interesting aspect of the DP Herald: When Gloria got cursed because of an Arkham Encounter, she only had one Health left, so she became unconscious at the start of the next upkeep phase and was transferred to the hospital. Apparently, as long as she was cursed, there was absolutely no chance to regain consciousness, since she could no longer have any encounters. Is that correct? HA HA guess that is right...so how did you get out of it? Just pray for a 1 I guess.
  15. har har Plague but I don't thin Listerine was around in the 1920's but would be useful vs. Tsuagauwa the "Ape with the Giant Tongue"!
  16. Dunwich Horror, Dunwich Horror if you need to get one this is it! Dunwich Horror... why? Because it good and nothing goes unused in it except for the condition cards, rail passes and the sheldon gang memberships but thats all... everything else will gladly remove your face from your head and laugh all the while!
  17. I've played @ 20 games with one Human (Me) and one Investigator and lost all but one. You just have no breathing room before you know it the AO is trying to stuff you down its throat and destroying everything in sight!
  18. That game with Rune in its name is fun. Pretty much any game is fun...Elffin thinks that what it's called you have to visits cities with movement cards to win...simple fun!
  19. Same boat as Duke once your draw your encounter its to late unless its something like Flesh Ward, next time just grab the tome before you draw the OW card then give it back when you leave the OW.
  20. But would being reduced to 0 stamina then drawing a Injury card that refills your maximum Stamina be effected by that Strange Plaque Environment? Technically to me it seems that it should but thematically no.
  21. I'm to lazy to post results but me and my bro are going though em a 2nd time
  22. Sense where on the subject. What if you draw Injury/ Madness as a result of an encounter, do you restore your Stamina/ Sanity to maximun? Also do you restore you Stamina to maximum when the Strange Plague environment is out, ditto for the Sanity side?
  23. Looks like you don't have to dedicate a hand to get its spell bonus to me. I should have named this tread my Random AH questions...here is another one... Darrell Simmons basically has no special ability sense it take place during the Town Encounter? I know it should read Arkham Encounter but has anyone noticed this before?
  24. Looks good and I like the pictures. Maybe just tweak the wording here and there but overall congratulation. It would be nice if you made most of the investigators with there own special abilities vs reusing Pete, Mark, Rita and Walker. Who are Imhotep's worshipers? I'm guessing Cultist. PS: Maybe have your Herald effect Exhibit items in a negative and/or positive way. For example postive way investigator's gain a horror rating bonus similar to if they had a cross. Negative way the get additional negative modifier on the pertinent skill checks made on the Herald card.
