The Mandalorian Season 2! [Spoilers]

So she's 50-ish in the Mandalorian? It doesn't bother me. Maybe she uses a really good face cream... Or just ages well. 😉 -
The Mandalorian Season 2! [Spoilers]

Are you applying real world logic to Star Wars? Because at 19, Luke was a moisture farmer. 3 years later on Hoth he was a Commander in the Rebel Alliance, and a piddly 1 year after that he was a General. Just saying... 😋 -
So... problem with the Flasherfish. It's actually listed RAW as a Watercraft, not a speeder (of any kind). It's basically a jetski that can make little "hops" into the air. I'm setting it aside for after all the easily categorized vehicles. There are a number of vehicles that don't fall into the normal frames. Watercraft, Submersibles, Wheeled & Tracked vehicles. All these should wait until the end, so we can focus on the common vehicle types, as these would need their own frames.

And being off by 1 (HTT, SST, Enc) is okay. It often won't be exact. The RAW vehicle crafting rules and the Nubian Design Collective are both "after the fact" rules. They are attempts to simulate the vehicles that were all made by the writers "eyeballing" it. Hence we have 2 similar but different sidecars, 3 versions of the same Mando fighter, rules where a Sil 2 vehicle has an Auto-blaster usable without restrictions (which is RAW), but then a Sil 3 Swoop (which is ridiculously large for a bike) that has an Auto-blaster with paragraphs of restrictions...

The BARC Speeder's Sidecar: Passenger +1, Enc +10, Handling Reduced by 1, can mount a light repeating blaster. No price or hp cost listed. I'm inclined to think that 1 of it's HP's is dedicated to a Sidecar, whether installed or not. The Starhawk's description says Passenger +1 or Enc +10, but the stat block makes it sound like both. Cr 500, 1 HP (both of these are RAW) Here's a possible build that fits both: Speeder Bike Sidecar Attachment: Cr 500, HP 1 Restriction: Can only be applied to a Speeder Bike or Swoop, neither of which can have the Folding Design. Base benefits: Adds a sidecar to the speeder bike. Increase Passengers by 1 and Encumbrance by 10. Mods: Pintle Mount: Reduce Handling by 1, and the Sidecar may install a forward-mounted personal scale Gunnery weapon (such as a Light Repeating Blaster).

Of the 9 Speeder Bikes (including the Foot Speeder), only 2 have Armor 1. The rest have Armor 0. Both the BARC and the Starhawk can have Sidecars. I haven't checked the BARC, but I did put a note in the Starhawk spreadsheet entry about it's sidecar as an attachment. Speeder Bike Only: Sidecar Attachment Cr 500, HP 1, 1 Passenger, Integrated Folding Seats (as it can instead hold 10 Enc instead).

@EliasWindrider I would suggest that a good solution is that all Speeder Bike* Frames lower the base armor of any Hull by 1. They can easily use Layered Plating to increase this. * While I haven't started on the Land/Air Speeders, I have looked them over a bit. Enough to see that 0 Armor is common, so it might be a good option to apply it to all three Frames. A case could be made for Walkers as well, but that one might be best dealt with using Reduced Protection (which I have as a defect for the Hull Crafting table), as I think only a few Walkers have 0 Armor. I changed the spreadsheet before I saw your update, so I had already dropped the Threat/Reduced Protection and added Advantage/Layered Plating as needed.

@Gordian Naught Yep. I added the Foot Speeder into the spreadsheet, with notes. My big issue is that it isn't a vehicle. Like the Jetpack, it's a piece of gear that allows a character to act like a Sil 1 vehicle (which is, I guess, because at the time all PC characters were assumed to be Sil 1; now you can have Sil 0 or Sil 2 characters). It doesn't have an HTT as it takes damage as gear (via Sunder, etc.). It doesn't "fold" down to 4 Encumbrance. It simply is 4 Encumbrance if carried/stowed instead of ridden. I'm not trying to be antagonistic with you, just pointing out that in the end, some things really don't fit the vehicle crafting rules. Now, if a special and separate single check crafting table was created to simulate the Foot Speeder, Jetpack and Jet Boots (maybe even the Gravchute), that would be cool. Not sure if it would have a home in the Nubian Design Collective, though.

@EliasWindrider I have a few more Speeder Bikes to go. I have been trying to include notes in the individual sheets. There are quite a few Armor 0 bikes, so definitely need to factor that in. The easiest is to either add a defect to the hull table or reduce at least the Basic Hull's Armor to 0 (and add an extra Armor mod). Cheers!

Discipline is used per RAW to counter Deception. However, in Genesys they switched it to Vigilance. So either Discipline or Vigilance (I'd lean toward Vigilance myself). Cheers!

The Foot Speeder is actually under the gear section instead of the vehicle section. It's a 4 Enc piece of gear that (similar to the jetpack and jetboots) turns the character into a Sil 1 vehicle. Foot Speeder (Cr 2000, Rarity 4, Sil 1, Spd 1, Handling -1, SST 4, 5 meter ceiling; no HTT) We can stat them, but it'll be extremely wonky. It's really just an engine with controls that the user stands on.

There's also RPG Sessions for Discord, which has a dice roller and character sheet integration (with an import function for character's made using Oggdude's Character Generator).

The Mandalorian Season 2! [Spoilers]
salamar_dree replied to P-47 Thunderbolt's topic in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG
Gotcha! Yes. You need to watch the original Men in Black to get the reference. Cheers! -
I've added the 85-XS, the 610-AVA Dart, and the Aratech 74-Z to the spreadsheet already. I'm hoping to knock out the rest of the speeder bikes soon! (And you're welcome! I've used these rules to build a custom shuttle for a pbp I'm in! I'm looking forward to building another ship when my character can afford it!)

It's a reference to Men in Black... (i.e.: It was a joke.) -

The Star Wars galaxy is on Orion's Belt. That's why sublight engines can allow people to travel to nearby systems. 😉
