I can't think of anything in the rules that would force that.  Once a thing is acquired, you can safely ignore the "cost" from that point forward :)

Ooo great!  That will be fun!
I was looking at your co-op play rules, and it's got me thinking about all sorts of house modifications to the game...not the least of which is that it would be nice to finish each scenario rather than stopping whenever one player gets enough points.
First thought off the top of my head:  Agenda cards can be exchanged at any time for their value in caps.

Hey everyone, first time poster here
My wife and I bought the board game a few weeks ago. We looked for a mobile app to simulate the player board like there is for Betrayal. Since there was none, I decided to code one which can be found for free on the Google Play store here:
    Google Play Link
It's not pretty (yet) but it will manage your SPECIAL, XP, Alignment, Status, Race, HP, RADS and CAPS as well as keep track of your level. I hope you all will enjoy it, screenshots are below:

Hey guys, I made a mobile app to simulate a player board, so you aren't limited by the resources in the box:

Yeah... happened to me too.  I missed that on my first game and I was really shocked.
It really seems like it needs a final quest line, what I man is something like when you hit the target influence you trigger a new quest {ex. add cards 200 to 205 complete these to trigger the end and do a final influence tally to complete the game.} I'm not sure exactly what the quest would be but this would give all players time to wrap up their personal goals and maybe give an outside chance at a co-victory.
Just some ramblings of a board game newbie....

Let's not forget that the minis show all sorts of gear that your characters don't start with.  They're definitely not designed to be highly-accurate representations of the actual character you are in the moment - just a ballpark idea

I'm not sure if this is serious or not. I've never met a gamer who refused to play a game because they couldn't play a character with the same gender as them. I mean the token has a gender I guess but it's just a token. If this bothers you so much why not just use some coins? Or minis from another game? Seriously: is this for real?

The problem is NOT the levels gained, it's WHEN the "S" is counted.  The LTP method seems to be the "right" way to me.

As a dad who's always trying to "nerd-up" my daughter, I'm always happy to see more female characters in a game.  In the case of Fallout, people who dive deep into the source material will know that 2 of the 5 characters (the power armor and the super mutant) are gender-neutral, but the look of the super mutant doesn't help.  Furthermore, the nerd genres where female armor is represented in a realistic way are very small... in my universe, only Fallout and Captain Phasma come to mind.
Unfortunately, even though my own daughter is very much in favor of not accentuating her own femininity needlessly (hooray!), I think even she would see such dull-looking armor in a game and assume that the person inside is male.  Maybe we'll soon get to a tipping point where that changes, thanks to the likes of Gwendoline Christie
Anyway, if I use the too-many-choices FFG Talisman character roster as an example, I imagine that expansion content will feature a much better gender-mix than this base game.  We'll get some good stuff - I have hope!

I think A and L would be too powerful, so if I may add to the house-rule brainstorm:
A = +1 MP when using two actions for MP in the same turn
L = Once during your turn, you may reroll any one die
    OR...
L = +1 loot bag from encounter results

Aggression only triggers when a player actively enters the space of the creature. So if they both survived the enemy phase combat, they'd just be in the same space giving each other the squint eye..

I for one welcome any women into the hobby. They are, from my own experience, sadly lacking which is a shame but I just assumed its because they weren't that bothered about playing with games and little plastic toy soldiers. Often when I see women, such as at a games day, they're really just there to treat their man, not because they themselves are interested. At that same games day, I almost jumped out of my skin to find that rarest of gems: the female tabletop miniature gamer.
She was the only member of staff there I actually had an intelligent conversation with. Everyone else, or should that be all the males, simply went about their business and acknowledged my presence with a sort of grunt. But she had this big beaming smile and went into enthusiastic conversation about all the miniatures she was standing beside.

Equal representation of sexes in a game? Yes, and this has nothing to do with what a group might or might not like.

Yeah, I guess the only way to fight more than 2 would be to have multiple aggressive enemies on the same space and then move on to it as it doesn't take an action to fight those. You are also correct that you should get the xp for each battle after that one occurs, I just usually do all of my fighting first then gain all of the xp as it seems to go quicker that way. I think it would be possible on one turn to gain enough xp to level twice but it would be exceedingly rare. You would need to move into a space with multiple aggressive enemies and then fight an enemy that would complete a quest that also awards xp(it's a bonus if that enemy is also aggressive as it wouldn't use your action). I think the chances of that happening in a normal game would be almost zero without trying to make it happen.

Could work. I might actually make it so you get one less movement per item above the limit.
I might also have the S SPECIAL tile grant one extra inventory slot due to incresed strength.
Maybe also have P allow you to Scout from one space away, E allow you to recover 1 extra HP per Rest, C allow you to have one extra companion, I allow you to gain 33% extra XP rounded down, A give one extra movement per Move and L grant one reroll.

The way I see it, if I were in the wasteland and find a can of beans but have no space in my pack to put it, I wouldn't drop (and apparently destroy) a way more useful item (such as an extra weapon or armor) just so I can put the beans in my pack before eating them. I'd just rather friggin eat 'em straight up. Right outta the can. With my hands.

That is correct, sir!  Deathclaws, for instance, can only be hurt on their arms, which makes the Ripper a great weapon to use against them.  The Sniper Rifle opens it up so that headshots also count, however, and that's a huge advantage against the nastiest monsters.
