    this tourney is part of the German Nationals weekend, organized by the German FFG Distributor Heidelberger. starting on friday there will be tourneys for all LCGs, plus XWing, SW Armada, Imperial Assault and several Board Games.

    since 15 years people from all directions go to the castle of Stahleck once per year and have adventures in the world of Middle-earth (thru the means of MECCG and other games). there is a homepage at http://www.eaglecard.org/lureofmeccg/

    the last few years also a bunch of LOTR LCG players found the way to the castle for this event. so for 2015 we decided to highlight the LCG for the first time.

    13th - 15th march 2015

     

    where:

    Castle Stahleck, Bacharach (Germany)

     

    fee:

    between 75 and 100 euro for the complete weekend (including accomodation, all meals

     

    program:

    you will have the chance to play with other LOTR player all over the weekend. many will bring their complete collection, including several ready-to-play-decks. also, a lot of the PoD regular and nightmare scenarios will be available.

     

    prizes:

    stuff from Game Night kits, PoD decks, board games, LOTR sleeves, ...

    prizes will be distributed randomly among players. the more you play, the better the chances.

    look at the player with the smallest card pool. his cardpool sets the limit for all other players.

    for example: if he has 2 CS, 3 exp and 3 cycles, then every other player has these limits.

    most of your  players have an advantage against that player, being able to choose from a larger card pool. that one player has the chance to improve his deck by adding only a small amount of cards.

    after some time you can evaluate.

    German COC LCG Open

    this tourney is part of a tournament weekend organized by the German distributur of FFG Heidelberger Spieleverlag. in the centre the german Nationals are played, but there are side events, like this tourney for COC.

    maybe you will be able to attract new players with HBO images. however, the game will also lose some because of such a drastic change.

    for me the looks of a game is quite important, and i love looking at the artwork as of now, while having photos gives me nothing (though i like the show a lot!).

     

    but i am not opposed to the idea of having a new coreset, including simplified decks (to find a card like Dragonstone Port in a coreset still makes me laugh and cry at the same time).
