Torg reacted to Commander Kaine in 2.0 is kind of a mess
Starting with Advanced Sensors, which was changed recently, the game is filled with things that look... weird. Jam is weird (read: utterly useless), and was likely also changed relatively late in the design process. Some of the pricing is ludicrous, like truly.
Overall, the whole edition looks like it was thrown together in haste, without testing, and the wording of various cards brings the usual FFG quality.
The attempts of reworking the language of the game have failed. The new method is inconsistent, and various problems exist because of unclear phrasing. (Like rebel gunner Han)

What I'm getting at, is that even though I love the idea of most things in 2.0, there was not a single thing that convinced me that we should all be happy forever, because FFG has CHANGED.

Look, there were problems with X-wing in 1.0, and most of those are fixed. (Great!) However, those problems did not emerge from nothing... They are the result of the people working on it, and the circumstances around them. If those parts are problematic, the flaws will seep through again and again, no matter how many times you start over.

The miniatures department probably still lacks people, the staff is probably still overworked. Their ability to create a unified simple lingo didn't improve. Their overall work ethic remains on the same level. There aren't fewer mistakes...

So as much as X-Wing has changed, FFG hasn't. So any problems you had, not directly tied to certain mechanics (like turrets) are likely to stay the same.

Agent Kallus would work, also any officer that's has been released for both sides in IA will work in a game like Star Wars Legion, but Agent Kallus leading a force would be cool.

Am a big fan of Dash with Outrider - Mangler with Lando crew - give the experimental interface and Tickshot and he can be annoying - It's a gamble but that's what Dash is good at, right?

I totally agree with you Johen Dood, but it seems the Empire is too powerful so they need to be nerfed by FFG and not the Rebel Resistance like Luke/Leia/Han and so on as you see in the movies.
When I seen the Arc Caster at first thought about the Tie/D for Maarek Stele but then seen Rebel scum and Scummy scum scum scum only - gits

You want to know how to reign in the dominance of Rebel Jankyard and similar Biggs/Lowhrick/Rex lists?
Give Imperials access to the Arc Caster. Seriously.
Vessery with TIE/D, Arc Caster+Ruthlessness could and would be a serious threat to these types of lists. And even though he wouldn't be great against other lists, he's still TIE/D Vessery- he can still pull his weight! Plus there's some neat strategies for synergy with other ships- notably Quickdraw. Imagine Expertise/ArcCaster Vessery and QD fly into range 1 of a target. QD fires his attack as normal, getting a TL from FCS. Next, Vessery Fires fully modded Arc Caster, hits, and puts the splash damage onto QD- triggering his pilot ability attack, full mods. Then Vessery follows up with his primary, full mods. In total, that's 16 red dice, 12 fully modded (assuming QD has Expertise too). I'm not saying it would be top shelf, but **** it would be fun- and you'd have to fly aggressive. Plus the Arc already has a balance feature in it- the fact that it has to recharge, so it's not like you could do this 2 turns in a row.
Combine that with the fact that the Arc Caster was designed and built by the Empire (see SW: Battlefront), and I think it gives a viable option to counter lists like this. If only the Devs could get over their irrational hatred of Imps, we might be able to balance this game!
STOP THE DISCRIMINATION AGAINST THE IMPERIAL FACTION! FREE THE ARC CASTER!

Torg reacted to Crit Happens in Playtesting, Leaks, Outrage, and the #HumbleBrag
Although I've been thoroughly entertained by the events, and outrage of the last 20 or so hours, it's been increasingly evident for a while now that there are major issues with the playtesting for our favourite hobby, and it's become quite troubling. Other, more known and respected members of the community have raised these concerns in the past (MajorJuggler, Sozin, the Carolina Krayts podcast, as well as others), so I won't re-hash all the gory details here, but wanted to give my observations.
The current method of playtesting is completely broken. Then, yesterday someone looked at the broken pieces on the ground, and bashed them with a hammer. Too many clearly over-powered elements have been introduced to the game in the last few waves. The entire jumpmaster expansion being the biggest offender - until wave 11... This has happened for one of three four reasons:
    1) the playtesters are missing very obvious broken combos
    2) the playtesters are finding these combos, and not reporting them
    3) the playtesters are finding and reporting these combos, but FFG is not taking their advice
    4) the combos are spotted and FFG responds, but changes are made at the last minute and not playtested before publication.  - brought up by @thespaceinvader
It really doesn't matter which scenario is happening, because they all point to a system that is/was broken. Now, FFG is likely not very trusting of their current pool of playtesters, and quite frankly, they shouldn't be. I've seen dozens of people express outrage about this leak for a variety of reasons, but to me, the most troubling are the humble brags.
If you're not sure what I mean, it looks like this: "I'm so mad this guy broke the trust of FFG! I knew about this a while ago, but didn't go spreading it around." -guy who is impressed with himself for being in-the-know
There have been so many of these that it's clearly obvious there is a lot more than just one guy breaking his NDA. There are multiple playtesters spreading this stuff around. We should be happy that this only happened for an FAQ rather than a ship with episode 8 spoilers.
Something needs to change. I love what Sozin suggested, making playtesting an open, community driven project, where you would need to provide data to back up your findings. The only other option is hiring people to do the job, but I don't get the impression that FFG is willing to pony up any extra cash to have people do a proper job of it.
Anyways, these are my early morning, can't get back to sleep thoughts on the matter. I'm hoping we can have an insightful conversation about this.

The question is, will FFG do a source book for Runebound universe, after all they own the IP and would be a good way to flesh out the whole history of Terrinoth.

The problem is the power creep we see atm is in Scum and Rebels, leaving the Imperial behind and the damage is at a point that Imperial list may not be able to deal with the Rebel and Scums list's.

    Nerf the stuff you hate.
Ignore an entire faction except for nerfing an upgrade that can be used on a ship that hasn't come out yet.

FFG may do what they did for Armada, in the core rules it talks about 300 pt games as standard till large base ship's become available then it was 400 pts as standard.
The price of the xpacs are what I expect from FFG, if you look at the Games Workshop equivalent it's a little more expensive but you get more in the core set and xpacs from FFG.
Tabletop war games are not cheap to manufacture and collect

I just don't see FFG completely banning a ship or an upgrade card - nerf it to hell to the point it's so weak it might not be worth taking but out right ban it no.
If FFG did start banning ship's and upgrade cards then it's time for a new Version of the game or stop making it.
