    Promo Cards

The jungle is great, but what if I want shiny warriors? The promos would need to be one-off, so would have to be on some kind of mailorder system. Or does anyone have any other idea?

    After Reading Rules

If I want to play magic at the moment I just proxy stuff. I am wondering about interactions in an opponents turn though. Did I just miss them or is it like hearthstone?
  3. It is not that hard to keep track of all decks you printed. Though the translation process will be interesting as you basically have to assign pools for the different languages with no overlap. Decks might be quite the same though.
  4. So who did read the rules and what are your initial thoughts? The main surprising point for me was, that you always draw up to 6 (minus chains). With free discards we will likely see a lot of our deck. Maybe even multiple runs through, which could allow for some nice interactions with the purge keyword.

Is there some FFG tournament software they plan to add deck registration to? Never did official organized play.
  6. The deckname is also on card front.

That makes Backgammon much superior to chess though. I hate physical deckbuilding but love this kind of card game. Especially without mana flooding it looks great.
  8. Attacking as second player means you will burn your enemy fastest in 3. Developing as first player means you will burn your enemy fastest in 3 - but the enemy had one less turn to act.
  9. Yeah, that deck is not built to be that reliable and does not work well against some combos, but you can always get a out some damage and hope to kill the enemy fastly, who will need to spend most of his resources against you and not building up himself, keeping you a chance. And at the moment I do not see much rush around, so some enemys might be unprepared.
  10. I was bored by all the kind of control decks, so I went a bit back to the roots with Orc Onslaught: http://deckbox.org/sets/139031 3 Veteran Sellswords 3 Warpstone Excavation 3 Crooked Teef Goblins 3 Fungusbrew Goblin 3 Spider Riders 3 Warpstone Experiments 3 Banna Thief 3 Clan Moulder's Elite 3 Lobber Crew 3 Mushroom Hunters 3 Snotling Pump Wagon 3 Squig Herders 3 Squig Lobber 3 Squig Trackers 3 Stunty Smasha 3 Swarm of Bats 2 Great Cave Squig #50 The idea is pretty simple, crush the enemy and abuse the hell out of the Swarm of Bats and Squig Tracker. Any ideas how to make this even faster?
  11. Someone is copying the Stahleck schedule. If you run the car tournament, my advice is to run a swiss over the decks too, should provide fairer and more interesting pairings.
  12. We played the same mode on Stahleck with around 16 players. One conclusion I drawed from it is, that you probably should run a swiss tournament on players AND decks. Otherwise winning might be only dependent on deck luck. Plan for next year is: Running Swiss 1 on player pairings. Runnings Swiss 2 on decks. After pairings are assigned, the tables get swissed decks in reverse order. (so good player will get bad decks and bad players good ones). This should provide fairer and more exciting pairings. After the rounds the swiss points from both runnings are added, so a player gets point for his playing and his deck (to get player to bring good decks).
  13. Is there a link to the french one? Or any polish text version?
  14. The list seems to be too slow for me. Too much control in it. My newst take on it: 3 Veteran Sellswords 3 Warpstone Excavation 3 Choppa 3 Contested Village 3 Crooked Teef Goblins 3 Fungusbrew Goblin 3 Spider Riders 3 Warpstone Experiments 3 Clan Moulder's Elite 3 One Orc's Scrap... 3 Snotling Pump Wagon 3 Squig Herders 3 Squig Trackers 3 Stunty Smasha 3 Swarm of Bats 3 Blood Dragon Knight 3 Smash-Go-Boom!
  15. So there is an implicit ruling that X is set when it is part of the cost? And if it is not part of the cost, it is set at resolving? Or is there any explicit stating on that?
