  1. Been waiting on the Agency dlx for what feels like forverer!! Having only seen the spoiled cards, I'm not sure anything from those would be a must currently, although Jeremiah will be going straight into my MU deck.
  2. Not as mush play testing done as I would have liked, but the store champs isn't until March 15th, so time yet. Currently the deck looks like this: Total Cards: (50) Character: (29) 2x Paul LeMond (Core Set) 2x Undercover Security (Core Set) 3x Government Exorcist (The Spawn of the Sleeper) 3x Church Operative (Terror in Venice) 2x Clover Club Torch Singer (Core Set) 2x Hard Case (Core Set) 3x Clover Club Pit Boss (Denizens of the Underworld) 3x Carnevale Sentinel (Terror in Venice) 3x Henry Knoll (Denizens of the Underworld) 3x Lena Di Boerio (Denizens of the Underworld) 3x Crooked Attorney (Denizens of the Underworld) Support: (10) 2x Shotgun (Core Set) 3x Concrete and Chains (Denizens of the Underworld) 2x Dutch Courage (Core Set) 3x San Marco Basilica (Terror in Venice) Event: (11) 2x Small Price to Pay (Core Set) 3x Pay Tribute (Denizens of the Underworld) 3x Eldritch Nexus (Core Set) 3x Hanyatl's 12:3 (Seekers of Knowledge) The biggest issue I've had is card draw, I don't have any way of drawing extra cards, and as a result I often end up with no cards in my hand after turn three. The rush side of things is great, I've managed kills with the skill redux and Concrete & Chains. Grabbing stories hasn't proved too much of an issue, except verses an MU investigation deck, although I did slow them down by changing icons. The sets I have to choose from are: Core x3 Spawn of the Sleeper Horror Beneath the Surface Antediluvian Dreams The Mountains of Madness Ancient Horrors Spawn of Madness The Shifting Sands Secrets of Arkham Seekers of Knowledge Terror in Venice Denizens of the Underworld Sleeper Below
  3. Thank you very much for the advice, it's muchly appreciated. It's been quite a while since I built a deck for CoC and the idea of a rush deck appealed. To be honest I viewed a lot of the cards as ways to protect the rest of the deck, rather than trying to work out a really good synergy between the cards, the lack of use of skill reduction being a prime example. Some of the cards you have suggested I won't be able to use due to not having them. This is one of the main reasons for putting this on boards, some of the things you have pointed out I hadn't, and probably wouldn't, have noticed, so thank you again. Off to make some changes, play testing on Saturday, I'll post the changes.
  4. This is the first draft of an idea for a weenie rush deck. The idea is just to get as many cheap characters down as quickly as possible and rush the stories. Total Cards: (60) Character: (39) 3x Paul LeMond (Core Set) 3x Undercover Security (Core Set) 3x Clover Club Bouncer (Core Set) 3x Hard Case (Core Set) 3x Clover Club Torch Singer (Core Set) 3x Carnevale Sentinel (Terror in Venice) 3x Church Operative (Terror in Venice) 3x Government Exorcist (The Spawn of the Sleeper) 3x Crooked Attorney (Denizens of the Underworld) 3x Clover Club Pit Boss (Denizens of the Underworld) 3x Henry Knoll (Denizens of the Underworld) 3x Lena Di Boerio (Denizens of the Underworld) Support: (15) 3x Dutch Courage (Core Set) 3x Bauta (Terror in Venice) 3x Shotgun (Core Set) 3x The Clover Club (Denizens of the Underworld) 3x San Marco Basilica (Terror in Venice) Event: (9) 3x Daybreak! (In Memory of Day) 3x Small Price to Pay (Core Set) 3x Eldritch Nexus (Core Set) all comments, hints, abuse, gratefully accepted

Much beer was quaffed, large quantities of dead animal was consumed and one lucky chap even got an invitation back to someone's flat. 17. Rarely, mostly as Sunday is my day off, but if there was enough demand for it I'm sure I could wangle something.
  18. Come to Aldershot!! I know it's not exactly what you are looking for, but we are a friendly bunch, well mostly. Next tournament is the mono deck one on 12th June, starts at 2:00.
  19. ChaosChild said: So if you went with a Skaven deck, would it matter what capital you used (destruction only obviously)? And neutral support cards are OK? Yes, Skaven can use any Destruction Capital, or the mysterious and invisible Skaven one that we all know exists, but can't see, also know as just not using one as we all know what the areas do now.............. I pondered on the neutral support thang, and, even though I may live to regret this, I'm going to allow it.

  21. mylastnerv said: You could snag and possible use Mantis to keep track of the details, it's the software UDE used to use for the WoW TCG and WoW Minis game, and I believe it's up as a free download on the Upper Deck Page. It's not the nicest piece of software though, I'm glad UDE don't have YuGiOh or WoW TCG anymore as it means I don't have to use this on a twice weekly basis, DCI all the way.
  22. Wytefang said: As the subject line says, I'm looking for suggestions for freeware software that can help with Tournament Organization. Nothing fancy, needs to have a slick, easy-to-use and understand interface. Dude, if you haven't found anything yet email me at ufsuk@hotmail.co.uk and I'll try and send you the set up file for DCI. As far as software goes it's as good as it gets imho and it's easy to use.
