  1. What kind of level is everyone at normally? I play regularly with friends, and have been playing for about six months. I have never played in a tournament but this seems like a good time to start. I just want to make sure that there wouldn't be an issue with someone who may have to read quite a few cards being involved :-)
  2. Any luck on finding out where the Foal's Head Charm comes in to the campaign?
  3. I don’t get where the need comes from. It’s all about the want. I may have a whole host of cards that get used rarely. Why, because every now and then I may want to use them or, heaven forbid, they fit with my characters story. Your telling me that a master swordsman would only have 2-3 distinctive moves that he repeats? No chance. Only taking cards that can be cycled through in a strict order based on recharge time seems a bit off to me. That’s almost pc gamey with combos that get used repeatedly. Again, as with anything, this is just my opinion and people are free to play the game as they please. Want to try and make that killer combo that you whip out all the time – go for it.
  4. It appears that a lot of people seem to comparing things based solely on combat, and even specifically on damage output. All these threads popping up about x is better than y etc seem out of place in WHFRP (well my idea of the Warhammer Roleplay world anyway) It appears strange to me, but that maybe because i always GM and don’t plan my adventures to contain opponents for my players based solely on damage output. I do it based on what they add to the game experience and our enjoyment of it. I get my power gaming fix from board games and pc games where the aim is to be competitive and win.
  5. I sure am. Party make up is: A Dwarf Trollslayer A Human Grey Wizards Apprentice
  6. Name: Mundri Mordinson Sex & Race: Male Azgaraz Dwarf Career: Mecenary Advances:0 Str - 4 (0) To - 4 (4) Ag - 3 (3) Int - 3 (3) WP - 3 (0) Fel - 3 (3) Wealth: (2) Skills: (1) Discipline (race), Weapon Skill, Ballistic Skill Talents: (2) Tactic: Combat Alertness, Focus: I've Seen Worse Actions: (2): Melee: Sword & Board, Support: Combat Focus, Ranged: Extreme Shot Career Ability: Mecenary Race Ability: Children of Grungi (Discipline skill above) Equipment: 64sps Hand Weapon - Axe Dagger in a safe place 2* Thrwoing Axe Crossbow 36 Bolts Mail Shirt Round Shield - extremely dented Back pack w/ Spare change of pants and socks (odd) Bottle of very expensive brandy - with marks on side of bottle so Mundri knows if youve been at his bottle!) Cook Book, recipies have countless changes and amendments, book also has plenty of space for new dishes Loose paper and writing materials Silk Scarf (Gift from Sally, the widowed wife of his old best friend and campaigning partner who he had to infrom of his death on his last campaign) Recorder (Only just started teaching himself to play - Terrible would probably be flattering Mundris ability) Countless herbs and spices and cooking utencils (including a cooking pan, a gift from hi smopther and his pride and joy) Mundri has been around the block as a mercenary, fighting in various campaigns on behalf of the Empire. Although a handy fighter he is probably better known amongst his peers for his cooking ability. Constantly on the lookout for new dishes to add to his cookbook he hopes to have published when he has saved up the funds. He is still yet to find dishes that beat those of his mother, and he will quickly fall out with anyone who doesnt agree. However on his last campaign his long term soldiering partner Karl Rudison died and this has hit him hard. Although it wasnt his fault he now feels a real responsibilty towards Karls widow Sally Rudison and son Felix Mundri Rudison (Yes, Karl and Sally did name him after Mundri). Paying off all Karls old gambling debts with most of his savings, he now needs to seek employment to be able to both pay for his book to be printed and support Sally and Felix.
