We are loving Destiny so much, I'm a bit curious if there will sometime be a second game added into the Collectible category.

Something I wish FFG would do with all their rules and FAQ's. Printer friendly versions.

I love it.  It has a great cartoony, not too serious look that I think fits the overall gameplay feel.

I play the Star Wars games, original artwork is fantastic.

I'm an avid card game player who needed a physical side game to play alongside L5R. Keyforge is checking all the boxes (cheap, fresh, low skill floor / reasonnably high skill cieling, relatively short game time).
I like the meta and building aspect of card game too much for it to become my main game. But it's a perfect side game.

I love the meta-less gameplay.
I can play my own deck without anyone calling it trash.
I can play in tournaments confident I won't have to face the same cookie cutter net-deck that 90% of the players brought.
I can get fully built decks without having to search for $50 ultra rare cards.

I like this idea! A firebase would be cool. You could make a 4x2 barricade squad stronghold that would serve as a stationary squad fire base as a good way to use 6 of them. 
Also, barricades on top of flat building roofs is a good way to reward taking high ground (while avoiding the rooftop cover debate). 
I really like the sculpt and mechanics of the barricades themselves. Also after playing several 800-point games I'm warming up to the idea of using more of them. I also endorse putting two side-by-side frequently, it effectively keeps the board strategy the same while making those positions slightly more attractive by ensuring more of your squad is in cover.

Snowtroopers are technically Cold Weather Assault Troopers. Snowtroopers are kind of a fun nickname.

Four of us showed up to check out the  Legion Demo at the Crazy Squirrel Game Store in Fresno, California.   We were more impressed with the figs in person compared to the online photos.  The shop sold a lot of product this last weekend. We're eager to get playing.

That problem is easily solved. Terrain. Lots of it. If all you put on the table is a patch of wood and a hill, you get Rommel in the desert. It is an infantry game and so it should be played in infantry terrain.

I hope for some buildings at least. The rest trees, hills and such are already available.
 
 

I agree with the bones of this post, but the tone of it is absolutely toxic. If you want to drive away new players there’s no better way to do it than by insulting them when they raise concerns, and treating them with condescension.

I do understand the frustration with  all the news (spam) of what's coming.  Not everyone  buys 2 or 3 boxes and has 95% of everything in the first week.  Say you spend ten bucks a week ($20.00 the week it realises). You are lucky to have 20% of the set before they are showing the next. A lot of people  are feeling the squeeze. 

I'm not interested enough to work heavily to promote, as most mass battle rank & file players in California are into 15mm (which I pefer) with certain areas heavy into Kings of War.
I just enjoy it with my buddy. I'll never have a fully painted army for this system (we play like once every month or two) let alone two painted demo forces.
Cheers to all who are working hard, however.  Games with a vast amount of troops are very, very hard to promote. People love trying it, hesitant to buy it.

One core for my friend and I each, to see if we like it a lot and how much we actually play. Then we will expand from there, possibly with another core + unit boxes, but probably just unit categories that we agree on for our larger matches.  He's playing Imperial, i'm playing rebel -- but we are borrowing, not trading, our starter set figures.

I really want to get everything. I really, really want to get everything! But I also really want to sell my wife and gaming buddies on this game. I’m going to stick with the Core for now. I’ll paint it up really nicely (hopefully), build a nice table (well, gaming mat with terrain pieces. Yay Scarif!), and once it really gels and if they take to it, then invest more into it.
Our table at home is a small Ilea table. We can fit 6 around it for D&D, but just barely. So the Core armies should do fine for us initially. None of us have much experienced with minis or wargaming, so while we all think it looks and sounds cool, I’m the only one who pulled the trigger so far. Hopefully I can sell them on it (especially my wife. We’ve been looking for a fun new 2-player game), otherwise this’ll be an expensive diorama...
TLDR: I’ll start with just the Core set, but hopefully I’ll expand as things catch my eye (or even better, my wife’s eye!). Probably with individual unit boxes instead of a second Core.

I think I will be buying a single core then waiting for wave 2 before I buy wave 1 content.  I won't be playing many other people.  I am mainly getting into it to play with my 6 year old son.

I think I’m going to get two cores, and 1 of each expansion except the Heavies I’ll buy two. 
Having two rule books is super convenient when starting out with the family or friends. Plus everything else tokens, range rulers, dice, etc. 
I want to make custom units and alternate poses so having the extra troops to use for these purposes.  Luke and Vader to customize in case we do Rebel vs Rebel or Imperial vs Imperial. 
 

I agree.  It is rules and supplements where PP and GW get your wallet the most.  A Snowspeeder with models, upgrades and rules in the box at $40 with a typical discount is not bad at all from my experience.
 
And it appears a core set for Rebels, with an added snowspeeder, walker and one or two troop boxes = enough points for a full game.  A standard game from other systems requires far more investment.

All of those prices are on the low end compared to similar models from say PP or GW. The rules are included, not an additional purchase. For a game with a licenced IP at that.
Too high for your needs is one thing, but not reasonable? Compared to similar products from other similar games, I think you're actually being unreasonable on that.

A little comparison...
The FFG heavy units are priced at $30 and $50, while the troop units are $25.
I haven't played 40k in forever so I went out to the GW site and looked up their stuff.  In looking at their Space Marine stuff (of which I am most familiar) a 10 man troop squad is $60 and their heavy vehicles tend to be $65 and up.  Heck a single leader model is $35.  One model.  The Legion core comes with 2 leaders.
AND, you have to consider that the rules to use the model in Legion are in the box.  How much are those 40k codexes with the rules?  They have an electronic one for $40 for the Marines, and I saw hardcovers for $50 and some sort of ultimate set that was over $100.
I would happily pay the cost for Legion vs 40k.

As much as I am looking forward to Legion, I do wish it was 10mm or so for some big battles(a la 40k epic etc)
