Forced Response of Functional Psycopath destroy the character with the lower cost. If I lose Terror struggle and one character is insane, he is uncommit. I must destroy the insane character and destroy another character when characters when uncommit

Answer
No a character made insane from a story is not destroyed by Functional Psychopath. The rule book reads, "The player who loses a Terror struggle must immediately choose one of his characters (committed to that story) to go insane, if able. That character is no longer considered to be committed to the story (the character is considered to have fled the scene, gibbering and drooling).” No longer committed is not the same as uncommitting.
Any ask?
Now with new FAQ:
Characters are uncommitted from a story when they are removed from the story due to a card effect, the game effect of being sent insane as a result of losing a Terror struggle, when that story is won, or at the end of the Story Phase, after all stories that will initiate have resolved and final player actions for that phase are complet
I love this game. But sometimes I think somebody wish my sanity wasted

Spanish community sent to Damon these asks some time ago:
One of our main problems is The Claret Knight, a card that appears in everyone's deck as the immunity (as we play it) is brutal, and causes a lot of trouble among our community... Could you explain in detail how it works?
These are some of the problematic situations we have found:
- 1) What happens when my opponent plays Many Angled Thing and I only control a Claret Knight? In this case the triggered effect targets a player, not a card
2) If my opponent triggers the Temple of R'lyeh and I have to sacrifice a character, can I choose my Claret Knight?
3) Some effects don't have a specific target, as in The Plague Stone. Would The Claret Knight be immune to The Plague Stone as well?
If The Claret Knight is immune to anything that comes after a Bold word:, the only way to get rid of it would be winning a combat struggle or using a card with a passive effect (such as Stygian Eye to take control of it, or Frozen Time to blank its text), is that right? The answer
Indeed, any triggered effect that targets a character cannot target The Claret Knight and any triggered effect that is un-targeted is ignored by The Claret Knight. The only way to directly affect The Claret Knight with card effects is through passives or a triggered effect that creates a lasting condition that alters the game rules in some fashion (for example, a card effect that changes how the Combat struggle is resolved and lets me choose which of my opponent’s characters to wound at a story if I win, rather then him, would let me wound The Clare Knight because that affect is resolving on the Challenge Struggle itself not the character, and by the time the Combat struggle is being resolved that effect has already resolved).
- 1) An effect that forces a player to choose a character to sacrifice is still targeting The Claret Knight (it says who does the choosing, but The Claret Knight is still the thing that would have to be chosen so it would ignore the effect).
2) An effect that chooses a player and forces them to do something would still be a targeted effect trying to resolve on The Claret Knight which he would then ignore.
3) Just like with 2, The Claret Knight ignores triggered effects, regardless of how it would try to be applied to him.
It should be noted that because The Claret Knight would ignores all of the effect, other characters would have to be chosen if at all possible, and if there was no other character to be chosen, the effect still is ignored by The Claret Knight.
I hope that helpsI think word "immunity" is too powerful. It is a pity, and a scar to this game, that some cards are immune to any triggered effect. I think will be better if sacrifice a character o indirect effect could affect Claret Knight
Sectario.

Hi,
From the FAQ:
(2.9) Limit 1/Once
“Limit 1 per...” is a limitation carried by cards whose effects are triggered from out of play. A card of that name can only be triggered 1 time per stated time frame. “Limit once per...” is a limitation carried by cards whose effect are triggered from in play. That card’s effect can only be triggered once per stated time frame. If the effect of the card with either limitation is canceled the limit has still been met for that time frame.
But Yithian Scout trigger his hablity out of play. He trigger his hability from discard pile (it is out of play area). If he go to discard pile, he can trigger his hability again, isn't?
(sorry by my wrong english
) -
...which totally sucks, btw. It's way too easy to create an (infinite) loop with her ability if the Tactics card cannot leave the discard. Who thought it was a good idea to give her an ability with the cost of readying her?
I don't like this new ruling. Naomi + Snow Grave is too much overpower. Can banish almost any character and any support card.
-
no, she can't. Because the card can not trigger without leaving the discard pile to do so. So snow graves shuts her ability down.
After the last FAQ, v3.3, she can, It is correct?
New FAQ say:
When a player plays an event from his discard pile, it does not remain in his discard pile, but rather is placed back in his discard pile after the action is complete. An event card whose effect triggers from the discard pile does not leave the discard pile
The event card not leave the discard pile

Hi Pac_Man3D,
I am agree with you, The Key and the Gate is a overpower expansión. I am worry about this. You can wound, steal control, bound to hand's owner, go to madness, blank text a character in play. With Snow Graves can prevent play with her discard pile
But… you do not have tools to play again abilities can be trigger from discard pile.

COCLCG said:
The passive is not a replacement effect so technically the Relic leaves play to be returned to hand and the moment it gets there the passive then resolves on the card causing it to be shuffled into the owner's deck.
This is how a Snow Graves prevents a destroyed or sacrificed relic from being shuffled into the deck, because it must actually hit the discard pile first where its effect then immediately tries to resolve but is halted by Snow Graves conflicting, but absolute, passive effect.Funny though. Sent this one after the above question and no answer to that one yet……….
Then, If a am playing Initiate of Huang Hun with a Snow Graves over opponent's discard… his character don't go to his hand?

Hi,
From Damon Stone
Short Answer:
The immunity prevents effects of that type from targeting AND/OR resolving on that card.Long Answer:
Deranged Diva is a character and her effect is therefore a character ability. She may not use her ability to affect Explorer or Scientist characters with Station Eismette. It doesn't matter that her controller is not the one choosing the characters because it is her effect that causes the other player to target the character. Immunity prevents targeting, in any way, due to that kind of effect. The non-targeted type of effects still could not resolve on a character immune to that type of effect, so even if the targeting issue was true, it would still have no effect on a character with that type of immunity.Where the difference matters for this is that the controller of Station Eismitte cannot target his own Explorer or Scientist characters with Deranged Diva's ability, but they must choose someone to target if able. The effect only fizzles if there is no other legal target.
