    Game Night Kit

Ming31 said: With wave two listed as Dec 23rd. they miss most of the Christmas / holiday sales . This appears to be something to keep the game in the front of people's minds . until wave two . While not overly excited with the premiums . I hope it will bring people to the store and build a solid play base . Got a new y wing for my birthday ( Orange one) and I need people to fly a pair of y's against . or are they planning on people to spend their xmas cash on wave 2 or money from returns. genius!

    Game Night Kit

in regards to mini gamers being "moochers" from my experience with gamers with the 25+ gamers in my area and a number of mini wargaming forums, gamers are far from being moochers, most of the gamers around here will spend 3 to 4 grand on table top games a year, majority of it thanks to GW's high prices. very common to find many gamers online do the same.

    Game Night Kit

Really wish FFG had better access to league kits. Their terms of getting a a game night kit are as out dated as get X amount of proof of purchases and getting a crappy toy. Corvus Belli tournament kits can be purchased by anyone, person or store, no need to have an account. Privateer press catered to anyone willing to put time and effort into running tournaments, at game shops or Universities. Had an easier time getting league kits from a complete fail of a company from Wizards of the Coast.

    Chicago Fire

Lska said: Did you made the fire is it's just some photo shop effect? And who's flag is that? Fire is made from steel wool. I put a rare earth magnet into the steel wool and a piece a steel wire (xmas ornament hook) into the barrel, so you just pop it on. The flag? That is the flag of of Chicaco, which one of the star's 6 points represents the Great Chicago Fire.

Chicago fire is a name of a fut bol team, however the name does not derive from the fut bol team, but they both come from the same history. Dear FFG

Give us German Zombies (remember they are not Nazi Zombies ) Man does it feel good to play Tannhauser once agin. Been almost a whole Year. Last time I played was Xmas day 2010! So... Where is Doc Savage? Littlewars, Miah, Malichi, and the orignal guys who were around the slowest and darkest days of the Tannhauser growing pains?

    Oksanas Vesper Attack

Page 16 of the Tannhauser Rule Book "Unlike walls however, the doors drawn in on the map do not affect or indicate circle adjacency. " The true way of knowing if the circles are adjacent is by looking at the map key. Doors have no baring on the ability.

    Counterattacking Zor'ka

Nope, page 25, the target of a counter attack MUST be the original attacker. Since a Voivode is not the attacker (ie not the one rolling the dice) it is not the original attacker. Zor'ka is god..... des.
  13. I'm glad to see much of the art has been saved from the ToY site. Thank you for your work. I would like to make a compilation thread over at Tannbunker as a safe keep for future use.

    Theme for UK/England army?

Every faction has a type of theme. What theme would you think a UK squad (part of the union) would have? Victorian/Steam punk feel?
  15. Hi, I am not a fan of the series, Just a fan of games, (not to say it is not any good, I never read the books) I was wondering how much fantasy there would be in the game? Such as Orcs, Dragons, magic, etc like Battlelore. Thanks. -John

    Sum. Cards

I'm making some cards for the equipment. They are very basic in design. I am about 40% done. Malechi made some great looking ones over a year ago (that long ago!?) Not an artist, but wanted something easy to go through other than a book. Anyone else interested?
  17. Nope. Disagreement does not mean you have upset someone. Don't flatter yourself. Maybe annoyed. Yes, annoyed would be a more of fitting.
  18. I just dipped my in hot water. Tea pot on the stove. Dip, flex, dip in ice water. May need to repeat 2 - 4 times depending on how severe the plastic has been deformed.

It will cost more to buy paints, brushes, primers, dull coats, and shades than buy the PP minis. Don't have the time. I have piles of minis that I have yet to paint from 3-4 years ago. Having someone paint them for me cost a whole lot more, especially when you factor in shipping. Nice to know I can have some color at an affordable cost. Buying pre-painted is a great perk for me, and will generally buy prepainted minis whether the rules are good or not. That's why. Not everyone is a painter. lol, thats cool if you wish to spend $40 or so for the 2 sets... I was giving other players other options rather than the 'buy this' option... I bought a Vallejo starter set (with brush) for noth that much and they look the same... it wasn't a command to buiy them, just an option/idea so you can get of your high horse now...haha! High horse? A question was asked. I gave my personal answer that many will share with, many will disagree with. I have the impression you do not understand the meaning of a high horse. I have boxes and boxes of paint, about 500+ worth of gaming paint over the past 4 years. Paint is not an issue, it's time. Time is money, for 40 bucks I can get a fairly decent paint jobs, average minimum wage at about 8 an hour, that is 5 hours, could not paint all those minis in 5 hours the similar quality. I can paint to a higher standard, but would take a lot longer. It's situational. I see you need riding lessons. PS. I do not joke here.

Yorktown said: I don't consider the Reich a melee army. At least, not in the sense that the Matriarchy is. The Reich has good melee capabilities, yes, but it isn't the focus of the army. Karl, Heizinger and the Schocktruppen are all very good at range (though the Schocktruppen relies on Overwatch). I think the Reich just has more melee capability than the Union. It's not melee-focused. It just has more close-combat power. What kind of stealth powers were you thinking of, though? I agree, the Stosstruppen is the only one that stands out as a true melee character. Yula has the Kruger which is effective, but she is balanced between hand and range. A Japanese Katana slashing faction has the potential of being more hand to hand and more sneaky. an idea - smoke bomb- Once per game when you are attacked by a long range weapon (non-hand to hand or mental) remove this token and avoid combat. Move 6 spaces away from attacking character. Attacking character loses his action for the turn. Can not be used against overwatch.

So here is what I Also, Sundance, I would like to hear your thoughts on a more Steam-Punk influenced faction, as Steamboy, is one of my favorites. I had an idea for a steam driven bot. It would be Egg shaped but with angles to it. Sort of like the bots in E.G.G. (Element Gimmick Gear) For sega dreamcast. http://www.google.com/images?um=1&hl=en&safe=off&rlz=1B3GGLL_enUS389US389&tbs=isch:1&&sa=X&ei=AcrBTMqMBoGdlgfdmPjTCQ&ved=0CCQQvwUoAQ&q=Elemental+Gimmick+Gear&spell=1&biw=1366&bih=501 A near All brass body. Instead of arms has 8 gun barrels (.22 ammo). Rolls 2 additional dice when target is 1-5 spaces away. Special equipment is a brass tank that is require for the thing to move. Which is also a weak point. When attack when it has not been activated, the attacking character deals 1 additional wound. Gear and clothing would look steampunkish as well look for guns and gadgets here www.google.com/images
