That was the reason. But you are right. I guess I never noticed that Hondo doesn't have a way to note which spaces he's done this with.
Edited 4-LOM to stay consistent. Thanks.

Painted everything for Imperial Assault. Certainly not wasted time and I'll continue playing campaign for as long as I want.

Now if only they'd do a smart move and include IA deployment cards in the legion boxes. It's the only way they'd make me buy legion releases.

Legion killed Imperial Assault, there is nothing more to say.

Now the good news, is those that have IA models can use them in Legion. I mean they are both from FFG.

    Next up, the rancor!
It was a great mini to paint. Very nice model and also fun to paint something this big that wasn't an AT-ST.
Got to try out green stuff a little bit for the first time which was more difficult than I thought.
And just as with Jabba and Terro, wetblending is so much fun!
Still trying to learn how to take proper pictures.. any helpful tips or pointers are much appreciated.

Some of you might have seen this on a facebook group, but I figured I'd post it here anyway. I finished painting everything for Imperial Assault. Not the best painter, but I got them to tabletop quality. I didn't do the stormtrooper group from wave 3, cause the base game has enough and I hate to paint them anyway. I did use one for the AT-DP base though. Was thinking to redo some figures, or buy an extra pack (e.g. the hired guns are terrible, so maybe buy an extra one for elites and paint them better).   But I think  I'm going to leave it as is and start with the next project. One (crappy phone) picture for each wave.
So please FFG, release some more so I can continue.

At least the Flame Troopers would be sufficiently protected from heat. (or operating those flamethrowers would get too hard)

Awesome story. I hope you and your family continue the hobby. It's very rewarding to do, both the painting itself and playing with the end result. Best  of all, you already had fun doing some of the most annoying figures. It's only more fun from here on 😉
A idea on going forward might be that each one paints the hero they are playing next. Make it their own by painting it. That way, there will always be a painted figure on the table on the next campaign missions as well. Just an idea, otherwise paint them in the order you're most comfortable with.

Lava or Magma troopers? But mixing with Scarif and having Shoretroopers would be nice as well.
Flametroopers might work for both tile types and could use the new burning condition... Except why would you bring fire to a lava planet...

After looking longingly at everyone’s beautifully painted minis, I finally decided to take the plunge today. Understand I’ve never painted anything in my life. I am absolutely horrible with my hands, I’m not a DIY-er in any kind of way. I couldn’t be any less artistic if I tried. So this was going to be a massive leap for me.
I have been playing IA for a couple years now, mainly campaigns with my wife and two kids. My daughter who is now 11 is very into crafts, so she was going to help out. So we watch episode 1 of Sorastro and figure out what we need. Off to the FLGS to buy our citadel paints. Hmmm primer is $18? Brushes were expensive too, so we went to AC Moore to get those things. I have no delusions of grandeur on the final product.
After getting our brushes (which turned out to be difficult, 0,1,2 were not easily labeled to me anyway) and primer we were ready. We were lucky to have a 50 degree day so I went outside and sprayed the primer. Definitely over soaked some areas and under hit others (Dad, you need to spray his butt better next time!). I lined the stormtroopers up on cardboard and waited for them to dry just like Sorastro! (Last time that sentence is uttered)
We are watching the video over and over, my daughter has it down. She tells me “you need to thin the paint”, “ it’s ok just use a paper towel to fix it”,”did you wipe your brush?” “Oh, that actually looks pretty good!” And of course “Mom, look at my stormtrooper!”
We we’re both in a zone painting away all evening. Even my middle school son, who thinks everything sucks and nothing is cool said - “wow that’s sweet , can I paint one?” Grab a brush and watch this video on the iPad.....
After hours of painting, I finished 3 my son 1 and my daughter did 5! She said “this is like the best art project ever”.
As with many things on life, sometimes it’s best to enjoy the process , the journey- not worry about the final goal. When your kids start to grow up, and become more independent, it’s just cherishing these small moments together. Tonight that was a few hours where we were all sitting at an art table, laughing , learning, speaking in Soothing Sorastro voice, and painting plastic figures.

Impressive. We actually have two articles on the front page at the same time. Both not saying anything about future releases, but still. Maybe they're implying we should not lose hope, and they have more stuff in the pipeline. We only need more patience.

From memory, I did the bases first for these as their legs are in the way. Only miniature I did the bases first. Base is a dark brown like steellegion drab, let it dry completely, then agrellan earth.
Painted everything of the miniature light-brown (I think zandri dust, not 100% sure, could be tallarn sand). Teeth with screaming skull.  A wash with heavy diluted agrax earthshade (1 agrax to 4 lahmian). Drybrush with the light-brown again and then the patterns with undiluted agrax.

Ok people. Spectre Cell is officially retired.

    BUT
I do plan on making a new That Theme's Operational video based around the TV show.
    Rebels vs Empire.
    Lothal Wastes
    Blitz
    Special Rules:
Hondo Ohnaka is placed in the middle of the map.  Each player starts with 5 VPs.  At the start of each round, players secretly bid any number of their VPs.  Reveal simultaneously. The player who bid highest loses that many VP. Then that player takes control of Hondo Ohnaka Hondo Ohnaka cannot be the target of an attack and does not block line of sight.  Rebel Team:

    ◄8▪ Kanan Jarrus
    ◄8▪ Zeb Orrelios
    ◄8▪ Ahsoka Tano
    ◄7▪ Ezra Bridger
    ◄7▪ Sabine Wren
    ◄7▪ Maul
    ◄6Loth-cat
    ◄4▪ Hera Syndulla
    ◄4Loth-cat
    ◄3▪ C1-10P
    ◄1Lie in Ambush
    ◄1Survivalist
    ◄1▪ Motivation
    That's 65 points.
Empire will need to include: Vader, Thrawn, Inquisitor, AT-DP, Jet Troopers, Death Troopers, Sentry Droids, Stormtroopers, Imperial Officer. Maybe Palpatine if the points really need to be filled.

Command decks will be 20/20 rather than 15/15.

Any thoughts on how to refine this?
