Alternatively, buy everything you can before they stop reprinting. Game being "canceled" (if you call not creating new physical content canceled) does not mean you can't play it anymore.

Maybe I'm thick, but I don't get the master thief on campaign 4-LOM. Why does it add strain to a crate? If you do this to track which crates have been used for this ability, maybe it should be clarified as such or removed (i.e. Hondo doesn't have this). Or is there another reason?

I think it would help if the exhausted unit cost for TI would be 6+ or something like that

IA can learn to stick to dice combat which is way better.
IA can learn that grinding the same enemies over and over again sucks and you should be able to select your units in a mission.
IA can learn to have interesting encounters during a mission.
Oh wait, IA does all of that which Gloomhaven does not. I guess best thing IA can learn from Gloomhaves is to stay away from it as far as possible. Yes, I do not like Gloomhaven at all.

Painted everything for Imperial Assault. Certainly not wasted time and I'll continue playing campaign for as long as I want.
Now if only they'd do a smart move and include IA deployment cards in the legion boxes. It's the only way they'd make me buy legion releases.

Dual rangers or saboteurs can be useful, not sure. To be honest I primarily play campaign mode.

It's unlikely that they kill all four in one activation. Whichever group has both units left can get 2 attacks off, then get 2 more when they're destroyed. That's 6 attacks for 10 threat, and both unit types have a decent dice pool with better than average surge abilities.
Well, as I'm not happy with the paint job of my hired guns, you probably sold me on an extra blister.

I have two Jawa packs, cause that is a unit where I sometimes want to use a regular and elite at the same time. I've thought about a second hired guns or ISB infiltrator pack, but I never had the need to field two of those units at the same time.

I use feldherr. Cheaper than battlefoam and they have foam that fit boxes or bags. https://www.feldherr.net/for/star-wars-imperial-assault/

I'm voting Yes. How can you have a complete star wars game without one of the most iconic characters, even if it is for only one mission? If they are not afraid to release Greedo, the inquisitor and obi-wan, surely they can release Yoda as well.

Turn the burn to 11! No, I like the idea. Mustafar - Scarif with flametroopers and shoretroopers please. (and feel free to include Dr Aphra, some rogue one characters, Cad Bane, Aurra Sing and Asajj Ventress as well).
Not sure on the scum part though, the Mustafar natives don't fit on Scarif, though it would make for some awesome creatures.

Lava or Magma troopers? But mixing with Scarif and having Shoretroopers would be nice as well.
Flametroopers might work for both tile types and could use the new burning condition... Except why would you bring fire to a lava planet...

Awesome story. I hope you and your family continue the hobby. It's very rewarding to do, both the painting itself and playing with the end result. Best of all, you already had fun doing some of the most annoying figures. It's only more fun from here on 😉
A idea on going forward might be that each one paints the hero they are playing next. Make it their own by painting it. That way, there will always be a painted figure on the table on the next campaign missions as well. Just an idea, otherwise paint them in the order you're most comfortable with.

After reading Fortress Vader, I want a Mustafar set, lava tiles and maybe add the burning condition...

From memory, I did the bases first for these as their legs are in the way. Only miniature I did the bases first. Base is a dark brown like steellegion drab, let it dry completely, then agrellan earth.
Painted everything of the miniature light-brown (I think zandri dust, not 100% sure, could be tallarn sand). Teeth with screaming skull. A wash with heavy diluted agrax earthshade (1 agrax to 4 lahmian). Drybrush with the light-brown again and then the patterns with undiluted agrax.

Impressive. We actually have two articles on the front page at the same time. Both not saying anything about future releases, but still. Maybe they're implying we should not lose hope, and they have more stuff in the pipeline. We only need more patience.

Saw his post on boardgamegeek. I'd love to buy some of those, but I have no idea of the quality. Price is high as well. Smaller than Legion, but more expensive? I guess due to the base? Even shipping is high. Thought about trying it out, but at $32 USD for one miniature of unknown quality shipped ...
Guess I'll wait till there are no more releases before buying the "missing" miniatures. That Cad Bane is tempting though.

I'm not quite sure how long it took. I probably started between the release of twin shadows and hoth. I'd paint a few figures, then a few months nothing. I did pick up the pace previous summer though, when I purchased a wet palette and painting was instantly more fun. I also didn't paint chronologically, but simply picked what I wanted to paint at that moment.
All in all, I guess I averaged at 2 hours for each figure. At 170 figures, you can do the math 😉 . Good thing I don't watch tv.

Some of you might have seen this on a facebook group, but I figured I'd post it here anyway. I finished painting everything for Imperial Assault. Not the best painter, but I got them to tabletop quality. I didn't do the stormtrooper group from wave 3, cause the base game has enough and I hate to paint them anyway. I did use one for the AT-DP base though. Was thinking to redo some figures, or buy an extra pack (e.g. the hired guns are terrible, so maybe buy an extra one for elites and paint them better). But I think I'm going to leave it as is and start with the next project. One (crappy phone) picture for each wave.
So please FFG, release some more so I can continue.

In your area maybe. Over here, x-wing is dead with the arrival of 2e. Not saying the same will happen with IA of course, certainly cause most consider the game dead already.
