Light fate trumps dark fate - this means that if a player declares he is using a light fate, an opponent cannot pay a dark fate to make him reroll his light fate roll. Conversely if a player declares he is using a dark fate, his opponent cannot pay a light fate to reroll the dark fate roll.

Play it on your PC on Steam at home when you have some spare time (which sounds like not that much)!

Why don't you try playing Talisman: Digital Edition on Steam, android or Ipad? Lots of people play it because they don't have friends nearby!
-
Go play something else if the movement in Talisman irritates you...

Talisman: Digital Edition Cup 2

You could possibly slot into this tournament as a reserve. There is a possibility of one of the players being expelled from the Tournament soon. If so, you could replace him. Steam name??? Ell. -

From page 9 of the rulebook: "A character must always move, even if he starts the turn in a space with an Adventure Card or another character. The space where a character lands is the space where he ends his movement or the space to which he is moved to as the result of an encounter or effect." From the back page of the Talisman Rulebook: "Does the encounter result in you being moved to a different space?" >>>>>>>>>> "Move to the new space." If the answer is no, you carry on and follow the instructions on the space! "A character must always move," means a player cannot teleport to the same space as he has not moved away from the space he started his turn on. Most cards in the game say any other space, a couple do not mention the word any, but it is handled the same way. The Pathfinder card says any other space so that one is easy. The Imp teleports you to roll 1 die & the Planeswalker lets you teleport anywhere in the Outer or Middle Region. Both these cards fit into the encounter flowchart on the back page. If you wish to teleport with the Planeswalker, you have to move to a different space from the one you are already in. If you roll for the Imp and it is the same space you are already in, you do not move any further that turn and you continue with any cards left in that space. Ell.

Misfortune. What rerolling really means
Toothless_Night_Fury replied to rimmer3's topic in Talisman Rules Questions
I get what sanity is trying to say, but if a player declares an action 2 seconds before another player then that's tough. The other player is too late. The player declaring the action gets to do it. End of. However if 2 or more players try to say something at exactly the same time, then using the rule in the FAQ is the way to go. -
eBay is the best place. Work out what you paid for it all and then half it unless it's in excellent condition with all the boxes perfect as well then knock only a third off of it. Make that your buy it now price.

Misfortune. What rerolling really means
Toothless_Night_Fury replied to rimmer3's topic in Talisman Rules Questions
Highlander question: attack roll and attack score are two different things. Misfortune makes your attack roll a 1, the Highlander ability adds 2 to his attack score. This means both happen. Read the Rulebook some more... -

Misfortune. What rerolling really means
Toothless_Night_Fury replied to rimmer3's topic in Talisman Rules Questions
I give up with you Kalten. You refuse to listen to players who have been playing this game for many, many years. You obviously play other games where the rules are very different concerning timing and how cards play out. Talisman is not like those games at all. Maybe one day you'll admit that you are wrong... -

Talisman does not work like Magic the Gathering. Spells do not stack! -
I agree that John Steed should not have posted that irritating comment. I am white with mixed race children and it's good that there are some characters with darker skin. The thought that a Thief being black is **** right offensive and stereotypical of some racist people!
