  1. No. They have to actually lose their life for you to take one! Ell.
  2. It survived the volcanic ash with the Transference Spell and safely arrived in the US and elsewhere! Ell.
  3. Add Astrologer to the list, prob a Stranger! Ell
  4. Ditching Objects prior to battle or psychic combat, including Alchemy, is perfectly fine. After battle or psychic combat isn't prohibited by the rules as it stands, but this is really bad form. A rule prohibiting this could well be introduced and/or included in the next faq update. Ell. Ps. I get killed by the Basilisk this week (it rolls doubles). I start with the Dwarf, roll a "6" and land on the Basilisk again to get my stuff back and guess what, my girlfriend rolls doubles again - I'm dead again!!! After this I was only Toaded 3 times during the game. Needless to say I didn't win the game!
  5. There could well be more player v player interaction in this version! Ell.
  6. Yes you can move to the Oasis from the Woods with an Axe. As long as the space would be intersected by one of the space border lines! Ell.
  7. Me too. I have the original DQ and the expansions and will definitely be getting the new one. Ell.

If you use the Winlord Amulet in psychic combat against another character, they cannot use any Armour to prevent loss of life. The Helm of Warding and Mirror Shield (Frostmarch Expansion) are items of Armour which are used in psychic combat. Ell.
  10. Pengy said: We played a game last night and the elf player was attacked by the philosopher. They had a hefty debate about spells that states "cast as you are about to engage in battle" (in this particular case, Summon Phoenix). Player1 said that player2 had to cast Summon Phoenix before he himself (P1) had started boosting his strength. P2 said that it was not required as the text read "Cast as you are about to engage in battle" and thus didn't specifically state that he had to cast it the very first thing. Player2 cast Summon Phoenix after player1 had used up all strength boosting abilities, but BEFORE P2 himself rolled any dice. I need clarification as neither of the players trusted me nor each other. Question: Can a player wait until the other player has finished messing around with the states and then cast "Summon X" (obviously before any dice are rolled, I can imagine) or does the "Summon X" spell have to be tossed out ASAP? Any help settling this feud is appreciated You may cast Summon Bear, Summon Phoenix, Summon Serpent and Summon Stormcrow at any time up until the attack rolls are made. Ell.

Yes, you get to teleport his character to any other space in the same Region. The same applies if his character rolls a "5" on the Carnival. Ell.
  12. 1) The Reaper comes into play when an Adventure Card with the Reaper symbol is drawn. 2) The Ice Queen comes into play when an Adventure Card with the Snowflake symbol is drawn. 3) The Toad King comes into play when a character rolls a "1" for his move (A Toad moves 1 space per turn, so the Toad King thinks it could be a Toad moving.) What do you guys think of this scenario? Ell.
  13. Hi guys, We have decided that the Ice Queen moves when someone casts a Spell and the Toad King moves when someone pays a fate. Jon, everyone forgets to move the Ice Queen when a card comes out with that **** small snowflake on it!!! Ell.

This is a permitted alignment change. (If the Temporal Change Spell is introduced into a new expansion, this will also be permitted.) Evil Darkness is discarded after player A's turn! Ell. I see, thanks!! But what I am wondering is if the card can affect Players until it is discarded or if just affect the players when it is activated? For example: If player A draws Siren it affects all players in the region. Player B is in the region, so he misses his turn. Player C is in another region but lands in the affected region on his move. As the Siren card isn't discarded yet does it affect him also? Was thinking something similar in the Evil Darkness example. An evil character lands in a space that turns him good or neutral, Evil Darkness isn't discarded yet. Does he the miss his next turn? In short, does an event card affect players as long it is in play... Or only players it can affect when it is revealed/activated. It only affects players when it its first revealed!!! Ell.

Player B takes his turn, player C misses his turn, player D takes his turn, player E misses his turn, and finally player A misses his turn. The Evil Darkness is then discarded. Ell. Ok, thanks! Now I understand when the card is discarded But lets say that players B turns good during his turn, does he miss his next turn then? Or does the card only affect them who are not evil when it is drawn/activated? Ans if so, is the card still discarded after player A's missed turn? Hope you understand what I meen The Druid or a character with the Druid Staff, must convert to evil at the moment when the Evil Darkness is revealed. This is a permitted alignment change. 17. Hi guys, Last night's game. Elliott - Pathfinder, Emma - Exorcist and Paul - Shapeshifter. The Exorcist revealed a Rune Gate early on and didn't use it. The Pathfinder did, but only after drawing the Marsh in the Chapel and a Dragon in the Graveyard, thus hindering those spaces for the Exorcist and Shapeshifter! In the Middle Region the Pathfinder quickly discovered the Fate Stealer, Druid Staff and a Lucky Charm. Moving to the Temple often, he also accumulated 2 Strength and 2 Craft. Next came Solomon's Crown. Meanwhile the Exorcist and Shapeshifter kept having standoffs with everything they fought - fate does little to help when you keep rolling the same number! Finally on 11 Craft and 6 Strength (2 hours into game), the Pathfinder entered the Inner Region and quickly destroyed the 5 Pit Fiends he discovered. The Shapeshifter fell first followed very soon by the Exorcist. The Pathfinder is a well balanced character, not too strong Jon - I renamed him the Pioneer but kept all of Jon's special abilities!!! Ell.
  18. The Evil Darkness also remains on the space, until its effects have ended! Especially so, when there are 6 players of varying alignments. Ell.
  19. Timescape yuck! Never again I hope. Do everything to make sure it doesn't happen. Ell
  20. We have commissioned an impressionist painting of our talisman group playing the wonderful game! Be ready next week and will post it online for you all to see. Ell.
  21. Would you like to see items included in the game that only neutral characters can use? Ell
  22. The first time the Ghoul won in psychic combat, he should have taken the Runesword and immediately dropped it! If there are 2 or more characters on the Crown, they may only encounter one another. They may not pick up any Objects there. Ell.
