  1. We don't remove any characters from the game. We deal 3 characters faceup to each player, so that everyone knows what characters the players have to choose from. Each character then secretly chooses 1 character to play. Finally all players reveal what character they have chosen. If a character dies, that player gets a new character at random. (The 3 characters are determined by drawing lottery balls from a bag which correspond to each character alphabetically.)
  2. We don't allow the Werewolf to be evaded either, as I think it was left out of the rules in error. I don't class the Werewolf as a creature!
  3. I totally disagree Afteraxes. The Cat Burglar burgles from the Black Market instead of buying an Object from the Black Market as usual, which of course can result in a character being sent to Jail. If the Cat Burglar chooses to burgle an Object from the Black Market, she ignores the text on the Black Market card and instead follows the instructions on her special ability. If she succeeds in the die roll, she takes the Object for free and her turn ends. If she fails the roll, she must miss her next turn and discard the Object!
  4. Totally agree with you. A double-sided 2D board is much better than a 3D board which ultimately would get in the way and probably break over time!
  5. Games Workshop are pulling the strings behind the scenes as they hold the Talisman copyright and license it to FFG. This means that Games Workshop have a lot of say in how things pan out in expansions.
  6. Already have the Sprite, it came with the Highland Expansion!
  7. The Toad King with bleed added for better printing: https://app.box.com/s/33bqshg22ss4r0ob67tm A higher quality print version is available if required (talismanamsilat@yahoo.co.uk)
  8. Or this one: https://app.box.com/s/xythpxfa72qd5v83j7bi
  9. Updated Toad King Character Card: https://app.box.com/s/2n01kus9jo0qcyr2uduh The Toad King now rewards you if you are a Toad, following the same idea of the Toad King Stranger in the Woodland Expansion!
  10. They look like they're a dollar!
  11. I would buy the IPad or Android versions, but for me phone screens are generally too small to play Talisman DE!
  12. The sleep spell is turned back onto the caster with no effect, due to the fact it is not his turn.
  13. Hunter are you on steam? I'm talismanamsilat on there as well. First played Talisman in the year of its release in 1983!
  14. You are obsessed with using that extra Highland Board!!! ;-)
  15. If two or more cards are on a Draw 1 card space, you do not draw any more cards! We posted together!
  16. From the core rulebook: "The total of the creature’s attack roll and Strength is the creature’s attack score." From the Blood Moon Rulesheet: "During the Night, each creature adds 1 to its attack score during battle and psychic combat." This means the creature adds 1 to its attack score after the attack rolls are made. Therefore in your scenario the Doppelganger fights with the exact same Strength as the character it is fighting. The night time factor is added when the results are totalled. (Jon we posted virtually together!)
  17. Spells have nothing to do with a characters Object Limit! The number of Spells a character may have is determined by his amount of Craft.
  18. That rule from Relic is basically the opposite of the alternative rule that is in the Talisman Rulebook: Inherited Items When a character is killed, the player’s new character may “inherit” the items that his killed character loses. When a character is killed, his player removes the character card and playing piece from the game, but places any Objects (including Magic Objects), gold, and Followers to one side for the moment, and returns any other Spells, trophies, fate, cards, and counters to the appropriate discard or stockpiles. On the player’s next turn, he starts with a new character drawn at random from the unused character cards as normal. The Objects, gold, and Followers that were put to one side are inherited by the player’s new character and may be used by him as normal. Anything that is not taken by the new character must be placed on his start space. If a character kills another character during an encounter, he may not take the killed character’s Objects, gold, and Followers since these items will be inherited by a new character. I most definitely prefer the rule from the Talisman Rulebook as I do not like the fact that the Relic rule allows you to use the same character again. Once a character is killed, it should be replaced with a new character. We never use the inherit rule though unless we are playing with kids!!!
