  1. When I have taken it on an MC-75 I've generally been happy with the results, but also thought "why didn't I just bring ExRacks?" The ship that wants it more than any is the Pelta Assault. Ord Pods would be great there. So yeah, something similar, but in a more accessible slot would be amazing.
  2. I've dinked around some with Ord Pods and generally like it. It's an appropriate strength level and cost. The biggest cost being the upgrade you aren't taking in that slot. It's mostly just limited by the ships it is available to. (I think that maybe 3 ships in the game can use it) I would love to see a similar upgrade that could be taken by a wider variety of ships.
  3. I’ve been thinking of Boarding Troopers actually. Not sure I’ll want to play that aggressively with the AF, but I want to at least try it.
  4. I looked at Flight Controllers, but my AF doesn’t quite use enough squadron commands for me to love it. Im still planning to try Boarding Troopers in my next game with this fleet.
  5. I have been liking Phoenix Home, but that is not a necessary upgrade at all. @BiggsIRLand I have been discussing our surprise at how other players have embraced this fleet. Even though we do call it the "Dumpster Fire" it has some really effective pieces in there, so it might be better than we first gave it credit for. It certainly gets a few things right and optimizes the use of a few strong cards. It's also a generalist, which means it doesn't get rolled over in most matchups and is able to jump on most weaknesses. Really glad to see others having fun with the archetype and tweaking it to make it their own.
  6. I think the Lib can work well. But you do have a couple of things working at cross-purposes. XI7s and HIEs don't make a ton of sense. Between the HIEs and the squads, you should be able to peel shields off pretty easily. Not sure you'll get the mileage out of XI7s. Also, Toryn doesn't work for the ship she is on. You want those blue re-rolls to trigger HIE, move her to Bright Hope or Phoenix Home.
  7. I’ve been running this concept for awhile now and it is a ton of fun. 8. Awesome. Glad to see it working for you. I think the 2 A, 4 Y version is the right way to go.
  9. Peltas, so many Peltas.... http://www.steelstrategy.com/2019/03/i-have-pelta-problem.html
  10. Generally speaking I've found the AF to be more survivable than the Nebulon by a fair amount. But, the focus of the fleet was to try and blend the firepower of some bombers with the support of IF!. The Gunner Team and QBTs on the AF really maximize what you can get out of IF! in this case. The broadside nature of the AF also opens up different movement and formation choices. If I swapped in Yavaris I would probably want some better squads to really maximize that ship as well. Not saying it wouldn't be good, it just didn't fit what we wanted to accomplish
  11. That does sound like a fun game. I think a little stronger Anti-Squad component works well in this fleet too. We went with Y-Wings for the durability primarily.
  12. Finally played the fleet: http://www.steelstrategy.com/2019/02/battle-report-garms-dumpster-fire-vs.html
  13. I rolled Garm's Dumpster Fire out against a Mothma fleet yesterday. Read all about it HERE.
  14. I should have a battle report up on it later today or tomorrow. But I played with the modification of dropping Boosted Comms for Phoenix Home and a SFO. Both were super handy. Also dropped Gold and 1 Y-Wing for 2 A-Wings. And yes, play the fleet. It is an absolute blast.
  15. Good data! That's really useful from a TO standpoint. Get on that chess clock soap box man, I think it will be the best thing for the health of Legion tournaments in the long run. Actually that and some sort of scoring gives more than just a W-L result to help separate the field in large tournaments. I am a frequent TO for Armada and the round time thing is a bit of a catch-22. Keep the rounds short to keep your players engaged and the day moving, but then some games don't finish. Make the rounds longer and you end up with a portion of the players sitting around bored, which is a negative play experience as well.
