  1. Past hour
  2. Near the center of the dial face, nowhere close to the maneuvers, I put a big X Y B A in bright sharpie on the dial to easy tell apart each dial at a glance. As long as it’s not obscuring or changing the dial information is this allowed?
  3. I don’t think they ever mention emp. Where did you get that from? Just curious, since we are talking about an animated show and the effect is drawn and open to artistic license. Take a look at the Molevolence (the CIS war ship) they mentioned that it was an ion weapon, but the effect was the same as an emp.
  4. Question off on a tangent here. If a when revealed effect has 'cannot be cancelled,' does The Door is Closed or Black Riders Frodo (or the upcoming master ring) still work? I feel like it should, because it cancels the card, not the when revealed effect.
  5. If something is "Immune to player card effects," it also cannot be cancelled. "Cannot be cancelled is usually just used for when revealed effects on treacheries.
  6. When it comes down to it, in regards to droid poppers, is there a reason to give it an effect different from the ion effect? Yes, in clone wars, droid poppers did a number on them, completely disabling them. A t-7 ion disruptor completely disabled and destroyed an AT-DP. Bossk has a dioxis grenade that is extremely and instantly lethal to sentients.. So clearly weapons that are extremely deadly to things on screen are less so in game. Droid poppers as a grenade Will work fine with the ion effect. If I were to do it, I would give it a white attack die. Any crit results add an ion token - no damage. Now, this is assuming that the droid trooper keyword has additional effects based on ion of course. As a trooper squad can throw a grenade for each unit, you could completely shut something down vehicle wise. Like most ion weapons, I'd make it a recover action weapon.
  7. Yes, and to address the point about Mitsu above: the whole reason he had to do a verbal tap-dance to get the Dragon out of that situation with Tsanuri was because he knew the Lion would stomp them into the mud if it came to actual violence. (Hitomi may have been willing to go for it, but, well . . . Hitomi.) It's not the Lion being Worfed if somebody deliberately chooses a non-military solution to a problem because they know the Lion would win in a military confrontation.
  8. Sshhh don’t remind them. We have to keep flexing on the Rebels discussion thread. Anyway, something something Hyperspace. Something something extended. Something something NPE. Something something krayts on top. Wedge is the best X-wing pilot, you can’t change my mind. (am I doing this right?)
  9. Thanks for reminding me. Is there actually a difference between immune to player card effects and cannot be cancelled?
  10. I really don’t see taboos affecting card design choices. They’re optional and specifically are a new list precisely because they are NOT errata. I’m sure Matt will be thinking about design only using the cards as they are officially intended and not optional play modes.

  13. Today
  14. Great work as usual, looking forward to seeing this develop into a full-blown setting.
  15. I think this depends on the card in question. Milan crowded out every other Seeker ally because he was so good. The permanent boosters made taking any resource-for-stat cards redundant. If a card takes up a limited slot (like an ally or neck slot) and is far beyond anything else, I think it is a problem. Same for cards which provide the same functionality. Ideally those should be in the same league, or provide other tradeoffs. When there are obviously and clearly better options the only balancing becomes a choice to self-limit. Which can be done, obviously, but players really shouldn't have to do so.
  16. I still hope for anjar kai specialization. Maybe in the KOTOR era book...one can hope
  17. Has anyone gone through the trouble of adding in the Silhouette sizes for creatures that FFG has forgotten to include? As Pathfinder/Hermit have this as an essential skill of their specs, it's an important piece that is often neglected. I hope they choose to at least include some errata with the sizes at some point. Maybe someone who knows someone at FFG can mention it. I'm sure they have a size that they intended, even if they are left off about half the entries.
  18. I have to say that one of the most disappointing things about FFG has been their handling of Silhouette information for creatures/animals. There is a system in the game for gaining a creature companion based upon a calculation that requires this information and yet about half of all creatures listed in every book, this one included, are lacking that information. I hope that those who submit info for these books recognize that this is a piece of information that should not be left off.
