  1. Past hour
  2. Have you thought about potentially another ship. I’ve been following your threads and have been dabbling around the similar lists u have mentioned. as stated above ive been think maybe 4 ships something like (70) Ketsu Onyo [Lancer-class Pursuit Craft] (6) Shadow Caster (8) Perceptive Copilot (3) Fearless Points: 87 (26) L3-37 [Escape Craft] (2) Tactical Officer Points: 28 (30) Captain Seevor [Modified TIE/ln Fighter] Points: 30 (48) Captain Nym [Scurrg H-6 Bomber] (2) Dorsal Turret (2) Tobias Beckett (3) Seismic Charges Points: 55 Total points: 200
  3. I love it, just scheduled a recurring two week event with my local boardgame group
  4. are we 100 percent sure, this is how it works?
  5. This is true, sadly. But its a very, very big set back for the empire. it should be like this; with a leader turned DS totals at nine leaders. Heck, id even love it for captured leaders to count towards the rebel maximum. so that if you have a guy in carbonite and a guy in prison you can only have 6 leaders max in your pool. Also, the current ruling makes it so there is actually no rebel incentive to rescue leaders. Why would you? when they are released, they will kill another leader. its weird. Imps need a lot of leaders to move ships around so they suffer greatly from the new leader limits, imho.
  6. The conversion kit is going to come with two newly designed plastic huge ship bases and cardboard for all 5 ships, so there can't be 3 base sizes. Possibly 2, though I'd hope not. Unless the new bases telescope or extend in some way to set different sizes.
  7. BARC appears to be a 1 model unit, seeing as there is only one in the box. I disagree with your dice assumptions, the AT-ST and T-47 also have white defense dice, but do not have exposed riders that would normally have white dice. Also, the rider is a smaller target than the bike itself. I know RotJ showed speederbikes to be fairly fragile blowing up after a few heavy blaster pistol shots iirc, which probably has more to do with the white dice since they don't appear to be armour plated.
  8. I like the sound of that. Never did like that you had to choose between hitting ships or clearing fighters, like you said, the anti-fighter armament is going to be different weapon systems and gunners than the anti-ship guns.
  9. I'm honestly disappointed they didn't make the victory 2 faster, since one of the main alterations (aside from dropping the missiles and adding ions) was upgrading the engines.
  10. So a friend and I've playtested it yesterday. His Fat Han vs my Resistance 5. I won 200:0 every time. Its a list that completely depends on a player playing out of his mind and positioning perfectly. Unless its flown by a world level player its going to get torn to shreds.
  11. Nice, I'd love to hear more about what you faced and how it went. I have event coming up on the next Saturday and I'm bringing my Seps.
  12. I'm sure Corey meant "oppose a rescue mission".
  13. Do You Own Huge Ships Already? Yes. A Raider and 2 Gozanti. Did You Play Epic in 1.0, or Were They Dustables? I played, but not nearly as often as I would have liked. Do You Plan to Play Huge Ships in 2.0 (in Standard/Huge/Epic battles)? Yes. Do You Plan To Play Epic Missions? Yes. What is Your Biggest Draw to Epic 2.0? Cinematic play - small ships doing attack runs on large ones, fighters zipping and zooming.
  14. Gonna try and cover everything in as simple and boiled down way as possible, in vague order of seeming popularity, because I fancy the challenge. Beef. Aces. 4x Phantom. Ace(s) + Mini Swarm. Formation Swarm. Loose Swarm. Fat Han. Unquantifiable Scum Weirdness. How did I do? Basically. There is beef and Phantoms. Everything else crops up and can be flown well or flown well against, but these 2 need to be planned for and will need to be dealt with. And there is now Han. But nobody really knows how it needs to be built for, if it's actually a meta powerhouse, whether it will last more than 5 min, or seemingly anything at all. Yet. Apart from it is clearly a looney thing and is very capable of upsetting people. Ignore it and hope it goes away.
  15. I don’t think the BARC will have white defense dice. The Speederbikes presumably have white dice because the Scout Troopers have white dice and the Speederbikes don’t offer any protection (other than cover 1 for moving fast). Since the clones have red defense dice, the BARC should also have red defense dice and cover 1. Alex Davy did say that the BARC moves slower with the side car on it, so I wonder if that will take away the cover 1, but give something like Armour 1 or 2. Do we know if there is going to be 1 or 2 minis in the unit? I’m guessing 1, and I wonder if adding the side car adds more health. You are adding another mini to the unit, so I don’t see why it wouldn’t have more health. As far as the weapon on the BARC itself, some sources say it has a light blaster Cannon, others say it’s a twin light blaster Cannon. If it’s the latter, then it’s probably the same as the 88 Twin Light Blaster Cannon on the AT-ST, but it might be a different model, so it could be almost anything. The AT-ST’s weapon is range 1-3, Impact 1, and one of each die.
  16. I'd say it really depends on the kind of game you want to run. If you want a fantasy or sci-fi game, the choice is pretty easy. If you have something else in mind, then I'd ask what kind of tone you want the game to have. If it's going to be more light-hearted or a classic good vs. evil story, I'd go with RoT. If you want a grittier, more realistic feel with moral grey areas, I'd go with SotB. If you really can't choose, get the PDFs. Also, share your ideas with us! We all love this system because of the fun of creating new settings, so we'd love to hear about what you're doing. And, we'll have better suggestions if we know what lines your thinking along. There are also a lot of homebrew settings that have been shared already in the Genesys Master Resource List and the Your Settings subforum.
  17. Have a look at the unit cards. At the top right there is the art of the unit, left of it is the Rank symbol of the unit and the number how many minis belong to the unit in its core. however below the picture is the unit type written such as: Trooper Emplacement trooper Repulsor vehicle Ground vehicle
  18. Today
  19. I just lovit! App works fine and gameplay is so exciting.
  20. I have been playing for roughly 3 years now, if my wife knew the exact amount of money spent.... I don't want any more of the older ships, stuff like the docking ghost etc are cool, and I may buy one. But I have a tonne od Scyks and Z 95's, and all the other 1.0 ships, I don't need more. But I would buy card expansions every day of the week, they can let the older players continue on collecting without weighing up, do they need a 4th JM5K, Falcon or any other ship. I have one of all ships, some I have a lot more than one, I don't want or need more plastic. I think it is beholden on FFG to release card packs so older 1.0 players don't get jaded AF about the game.
  21. Tie Phantoms, the fastest squadron in the game.
  22. hmm.. i dont understand this, Corey. What do you mean you keep vader in the pool to oppose a capture mission? capturing is a dark side mechanic, so how would you oppose that?
  23. For example: Assault: Precision Strike Defense: Planetary Ion Cannon Navigation: Minefields MC80 Command Cruiser (106) • Bail Organa (7) • Engine Techs (8) • Expanded Hangar Bay (5) • Leading Shots (4) • Independence (8) = 138 Points Pelta Assault Ship (56) • Garm Bel Iblis (25) • Ray Antilles (7) • All fighters, Follow Me! (5) • Phoenix Home (3) • Ahsoka Tano (2) = 98 Points GR-75 Medium Transports (18) • Toryn Farr (7) • Bomber Command Center (8) • Bright Hope (2) = 35 Points Squadrons: • Jan Ors (19) • 6 x B-wing Squadron (84) • 2 x X-wing Squadron (26) = 129 Points Total Points: 400
  24. To be acutely honest here, after this very fiction, they already feel rather disappointing.
  25. Can Independence title be used with All fighters follow me to move B-wings at speed 5?
  26. It is great fun and I would already consider it one of my top 5 board games. We are playing it 2 player - beravor and gimli - and it works so much better than Mansions of Madness in comparison. Scales seemingly well with all player counts and even with only 2 players I get the feeling that we can really cooperate and help each other with our heroes cards. I also enjoy the diceless system, because you can really prepare for some tests and sometimes you just know that you shouldn't even try something. The campaign style also helps a lot to negate the frustration we often felt after playing a coop game for a long time and loose. Even if you loose a chapter you'll earn XP/lore and you maybe spend too much time on a side quest but earned a trinket or title instead. The game is also quite easy to teach on the fly and the difficulty seems to be nicely balanced but maybe I'm just relieved to play something a bit more relaxing after Arkham Horror LCG all the time
  27. Took _Underscore_'s maul and 5 esc vultures to a 14 person event yesterday, went 3-1 finishing 4th, and won a servants of strife kit (my 3rd) so guess i'll be trying out 8 vultures soon
