It definitely enters the toy realm with to many moving parts, and this is a miniatures game.

Oh please. They're basically toys already. Least, that's how I look at them.

You absolutely cannot tell me with a straight face, that you didn't fly it around a little bit. C'mon, let's be honest about that here.

Also can people stop suggesting a rotating defender cockpit? They... They don't do that.

It would add so much to the fragility of already delicate models. S-foils sound great, and I've seen one guy mod his X-wings to make it happen, but they just seem too delicate for me. I do enjoy the way the Lambda wings come down, but anything else is just too small

Yeah that is the final phooey on it, and nay to the lighting too. If you are not going to have lights everywhere, it looks blah.

Why are just the Huge and Large ships lit-up?

Nah.

I had rather have very nice painted engine glows.

:)

Now making a space station or something that has large observation windows, or making explosions and having suns and stars and so forth all lighted, that is cool IMO.

It would be pretty cool if the B-Wing cockpit could rotate and where the peg connects too, so you could change it's angle. The TIE Defender cockpit didn't rotate, that one just doesn't make sense. I would like to see some more turrets rotate, but it would probably drive the cost up a bit though. Probably the one thing that really should of been rotatable is the wings on the Firespray.

Yeah and that is the ship that would be a real job to make it happen in house.

Rotating A-wing turrets. Yes, those are supposed to be turrets.

You don't need to strip your miniatures, painting over is fine. No, there should not be a fourth faction, three is the magic number for countering flavor lists and to break up faction distribution. Someone else has likely thought up and posted your amazing new build, so you don't need to stroke your ego when reposting it. The prequels sucked and so would a game based on it. YES, there should be a Custom Forum for terrain and repaints! Moving on...

Probably the one thing that really should of been rotatable is the wings on the Firespray.

I don't see why. The firespray's wings turn up when it's landing. Doesn't make a whole lotta sense for it to be in landing mode in here.

Preemptive strike on "but the lambda is the same way!"
The Shuttle is huge, and as many have said before, it gets in the way of other ships. having its wings fold up keeps it from bumping other models.

Not a fan of moving parts on my game models. Tends to make things more fragile and prone to breakage.

Storing my Falcon is already a pain because of the dish.

Just let it go into the Death Star, problem solve!

I just don't see the point.

Has anyone flown the mission "I'm going to the store dear, would you like anything" or "Escorting Miss Daisy"? NO! Because every mission in this game is about either blowing stuff up or not getting blown up .. regardless, exploding stuff in a vacuum is the common theme here.

That doesn't happen with s-foils closed, landing gear down or Chewie's chess board lighting up. Therefore .. pointless.

I've seen some nice modifications here; articulated X-Wings S-foils, lit up Falcons and Shuttles, and rotating turrets on HWKs and Y-Wings, but nothing comes close to this thing.

OK, it's not from Star Wars, but if you are going to snazz it up a bit, this is how you do it.

I'm happy as is. I'd likely end up with a bunch of superglued parts if more stuff was moveable.

On bigger models sure but on the scale we have it would probably lead to more breakage.

If FFG made more movable parts for their ships there would be more fiddling.... more fiddling can lead to blindness...
