Hi

Having enjoyed the space fight bit of the game the other night I wondered if anyone had done any stats for a x-wing

Based on the Headhunter (page 169 of the Beta book), which in the Expanded Universe was refered to as a forerunner to the X-Wing. Cheers!

Passenger Capacity: None

Encumbrance Capacity: 8

Consumables: One Day

Cost: 110,000 (Right off the top of my head, maybe more. Almost certainly only available at GM discretion)

Silhouette: 3                      Sensor Range: Close

Speed: 4                             Handling: +2

Defense: 1/1                      Armor: 3

Hull Intengrity: 10              Strain Threshold: 9

Customization Hard Points: 2

Weapons: Wingtip Mounted Laser Cannons (4): (Fire Arc Forward; Range Close; Damage 5; Critical Hit 3; Linked (3).

Forward Mounted Concussion Missile Launchers (2): (Fire Arc Forward; Range Short; Damage 7; Critical HIt 3; Breach 4, Blask 3, Guided 3, Payload 4, Linked (1).

X-wings fire Proton Torpedos, not concussion missiles.

I liked the idea from the X-wing PC games that you could change your loadout before the missions.  Not being stuck with set projectiles, but having a generic "Launcher" with a capacity based on the missile/torp you were using.

A few suggestion :

You should probably bump up the consumables, otherwise, most pilots would die from asphyxiation before reaching their destination. West end Games' and Saga gave the X-Wing 1 week worth of consumables.

Cost :  150,000 credit (new), 90,000 credit (used)

Speed could be bumped to 5 as a T-65 X-Wing as the same top speed as a TIE/LN Starfighter.

I'd tend to lower the laser Cannon Linked quality to Linked 2.

Replace concussion missiles with Proton Torpedoes. Give the Proton torpedo launcher the "Slow Firing 1" quality and Damage 8 as per the beta update. I think x-wing normally carry a paylod of 8 proton torpedoes. (Can't find a source)
