OK. Hopefully a simple question with a simple answer. Can you use the prayer of healing on someone who hasn't taken any damage?

Sure. Especially at the start of E1, once you have Holy Power (allowing two heroes to be affected) + Divine Fury (+yellow die to affected heroes' next attack), Disciple will often go first to boost the tanks when they attack.

Cool. I get that way of using the prayer of healing. But if your using it to buff people up, doesn't it stop becoming a prayer of healing and just a way of making heroes stronger.

My thinking is that the additional benefits are extras to being healed. You wouldn't use the prayer of healing on someone if those additional benefits weren't there. I know that thinking is a little bit meta game.

It would all but cripple half of the Disciple's Class cards if you go that route (the half that is tied to Prayer). Even before you get the buffs (extra power die or defense die), Cleansing Touch can remove Condition cards, which can be bestowed on heroes via OL cards and monster abilities without needing to do any damage. Since the hero doesn't have any damage to recover, can't use Prayer with Cleansing Touch to remove a Condition either?
