You could use a good kiss!  Or, at least a cool group to play SW with?

Come on down to Game Empire in San Diego for LCG night, Mondays from 6-10pm.  We play AGoT, Netrunner, and SW.

Currently, it's just open play for the next couple of weeks, but we'll be starting a Netrunner league in Feb., with a SW league to follow in March.  More details to come as March gets closer.

As part of LCG Night at Game Empire, we will be running a Star Wars: The Card Game League!

Mar 18th – Apr 29th, 6pm – 10pm Monday Nights

League Rules

  • Each player will be given a score sheet to record their league games.
    • Score Sheets must be turned in at the end of each Monday night session.
  • Each player is allowed to record up to 3 matches per opponent.
  • A match consists of 2 games, one as the Light Side, and one as the Dark Side.
  • Matches will be scored according to the new tournament rules.
  • Players will be ranked based on the number of points they've earned.
  • The first tie breaker will be your strength of schedule (the sum of the points earned by all of your opponents).
  • The second tie breaker will be the sum of your opponent’s strength of schedule.
  • All games must be played on Monday nights at Game Empire, and the last night for league games will be Monday, Apr 22nd.
  • On Apr 29th the top 8 players will be seeded and play in a single elimination tournament with 70 min. rounds (except for the final game) to determine the League Champion!

Deck Building Rules

  • Players may play with a variety of decks throughout the league, but each deck must follow the standard deck building rules found in the rule book, FAQ, and in the LCG Tournament Rules.
  • During the finals players will be allowed to play with only 1 Light Side deck and 1 Dark Side deck.

Sportsmanship

  • Over the course of the league, remember it is your response to winning and losing that makes you a winner or loser. Be fair, honest, an ambassador of the game, and above all: have fun!

  • $5 entry fee (all money will go towards tournament prizes on Apr 29th)

Those who are interested can sign up on Monday nights at Game Empire (just ask for John)

Sorry, correct the following uder Affiliations above:

DS-Scum and Villainy should have the following stats: 1-0 (1) [0.526], making it 2nd

LS-Jedi should be 1-3 (0.250) [0.423]

I had to add an extra win for them in order for my spread sheet to calculate everything, and forgot to remove it before posting.  This will get fixed as we play more games.

I have ordered Season 3 league kits.  However, our group's interest in this game is fading.

I will probably run a tournament, or maybe even another league, to use up the kits.  I'm not sure if we'll be doing much beyond that.

I'll post here to let you know.

Bummer. I just discovered this game and I'm in the San Diego area. I used to play SW:CCG by Decipher back in the day and I was excited to see a new company breathing life into the setting. If you guys get rolling again, let me know!

Is there any interest still in playing SW LCG in the SD Area?  The only other person that I know that knows how to play in the area is my wife!

Also - totally random, but if anybody checks this and has Chris Schoenthal's e-mail address, could you please provide?  I think we were in Boy Scouts back in the day in NorCal, if that's the gent that I'm thinking of.

I was thinking of seeing if anybody is interested to meet to play at Villainous Lair Game Shop sometime.  Message me if interested.

Alright.... In about a month, we will have a small, 4 week league for the Star Wars LCG.  If we can get our player base to grow, future leagues will be longer.  Here are the details:

As part of LCG Night at Game Empire (San Diego), we will be running a Star Wars: The Card Game League!

Feb 17th – Mar 10th, 6pm – 10pm Monday Nights

League Rules

  • Each player will be given a score sheet to record their league games.
    • Score Sheets must be turned in at the end of each Monday night session.
  • Each player is allowed to record up to 3 matches per opponent.
  • A match consists of 2 games, one as the Light Side, and one as the Dark Side.
  • Each game won is worth 4 points.
  • If players are tied 4-4 at the end of a match, an additional point will be rewarded based on the following:
    • If both players won as the Light Side:  The player who won their game with the lowest count on their opponent’s Death Star dial gains an extra point
    • If both players won as the Dark Side:  The player who destroyed the most Objectives over the course of BOTH games gains an extra point
    • If the match is still tied, neither player receives the extra point, and the match finishes 4-4
  • The first tie breaker will go to the player with the higher strength of schedule.
  • The second tie breaker will go to the player whose opponent’s have the highest combined strength of schedule.
  • Players will be ranked based on total match points.
  • On Mar 10th the top 8 players will be seeded based on their Average Points per Match and play in a single elimination tournament to determine the League Champion!

Deck Building Rules

  • Players may play with a variety of decks throughout the league, but each deck must follow the standard deck building rules found in the rule book, FAQ, and in the LCG Tournament Rules.
  • During the finals, players will be allowed to play with only 1 Light Side deck and 1 Dark Side deck.

Sportsmanship

  • Over the course of the league, remember it is your response to winning and losing that makes you a winner or loser. Be fair, honest, an ambassador of the game, and above all: have fun!

  • $5 entry fee (all money will go towards tournament prizes on Mar 10th)

Those who are interested can sign up on Monday nights at Game Empire (just ask the LCG players for John).

P.S. swimmingordy, I'm sure it's the same Chris.  He plays SW with us, so you should come on out!!!

I should mention that in addition to the entry fee $ being used for prizes, we also have 2 season 3 league kits.
