Hi, my first post here, thought I would share this first battle report that I made. Almost straight copy-paste from the video description below:

"Hi, this is my first Star Wars X-Wing Miniatures Game by Fantasy Flight Games battle report. As I tell in the commentary it´s my fourth time playing the game, but my opponent, who also owns the game has played more so we should have the rules correct. I found a couple of errors when editing, but nothing that would have affected the outcome.

The dice were a bit outrageous so we didn´t get much to play the actual scenario, but it was a fun game nonetheless.

I haven´t planned on doing more of these, but if there is interested people I might as well, just let me know. I personally thought the Star Wars setup allowed me to test some neat new VFX, sadly not all that I tested really worked out properly and didn´t find its way into the final product.

This took me 1.5 days to edit, but the fact that I could use some components from my WM/H-battle reports made it possible to manage that kind of timetable.

I hope you like it."

Good video. loved seeing a scenario rather then the standard faceoff. What program did you use to edit with? I koved the way you did the dice rolls

Wow, that was a tough one on Luke!  Nice video, it sounded like a snooker match.  Nice and calm and explained the action well.

Nice one.

@Torresse

Thanks again here.:) Yeah, I did play my first 2 games as fixed point sized standard faceoffs, but they seemed to be neverending and hence difficult to edit. My 3rd game was actually the escort mission from the rulebook, but as this was shorter I decided to edit this.

I did use a combination of Adobe´s software: Premiere Pro, Photoshop and After Effects. The normal video editing is done with Premiere Pro, all the added images/text areas are done with Photoshop and the effects(like the opening crawl and the dice rolls) are composed with After Effects.

Yeah, I have tested the animated dice roll before with my other battle reports, but with this game system it fits very well. The D6 can be easily presented in other ways than as dice, but with this system the different dice images add a nice touch.

@mikeymoo

Yeah, the luck with my dice rolls was pretty ridiculous, but I had some unfinished business with the Rebels after being ionised by those pesky  Y-wings in my first 3 games… Thank you for the feedback, I take the "snooker match"-reference as a compliment.:)

Thank you both for watching and giving comments, it´s always nice to get feedback.

Wow! That was a clear, crisp video with great narration and great graphics which kept the hull and shields score. Simply fantastic and a great victory for the Empire!

Thank you very much, I really appreciate the compliments.:) Nice to see that you noticed and even more awesomely liked the damage-counters, I was a bit affraid that hence I didn´t advertise them in any way they might go unnoticed or it would be hard to tell what they did represent.

Nicely put together. Enjoyed the narration. You mentioned some rules mistakes, which weren't really critical, but there's one more I feel obligated to point out: "Night Beast" couldn't have Barrel Rolled into Luke in round 3 because you are not allowed to Barrel Roll into another ship or obstacle.

But it was a great video. I would love to see more.

I am working on a series of articles that I'd like to put up over at A Few Maneuvers, and I'd like to reference this video, if it's alright with you. Basically, it will be a platform to discuss movement options, and discuss what maneuvers people should choose in various situations.

Thank you for watching and thanks for clarifying that rules mistake also, I wasn´t aware of such a rule.

I´m more and more tempted to do more of these as the feedback has been great. This week I´m overrunned by my studies, but might do some more videos on the coming holidays. The main missions fit so nicely with the given fluff to the open crawls, that I feel I have to feature all of them at least.:)

If you think that my video would be of any use, then by all means you have my permission. This was just kind of a test for myself with the visuals, but it´s very nice if the video can be used to help the community also like that.

I wasn´t even aware of that this game has forums of its own in addition to these, I also might post  the video there myself. Any suggestion which area it would fit the most, I didn´t distinguish any set area for battle reports. Maybe just politely in the general section, I think that can´t go wrong.
