So, I have been thinking! I'm sure you all know how Warhammer 40k has a game mode called Apocolypse. What if Warfare had a similiar mode called Armegedon! :D Where there is no point limit or omething, and that type of thing!

Sweet Jesus; the thought of a 1000-point game boggles the mind. We'd need a much larger playing surface. Unfortunately, such a game starts sounding really cool, with the advent of too many Sov heavy tanks! And the Sovs never did things in small scale, anyway…

Need a new scenario for the SSU: Infiltration. During the Great Patriotic War, a favorite tactic was sending small units (platoon size - 40-70 men or so) to try to slip behind enemy lines, where they would dig in and act as semi-partisans, forcing the Germans to divert precious resources to hunt, and frequently dig, them out! Maybe a scenario with some sort of spotting mechanic, where it wasn't a given that you saw the enemy!

Me and another of my group have been scheming to do a 750 pt game. That's where he feels comfortable, legally speaking, with his Allies. My Axis can rock out in a 800pt game fairly easily.

An infiltration type game could be done with Vehicle sight reduced like the limited visibility scenario but have Infantry sight range reduced to 24" or less unless someone shoots.

Those seem lik great scenerios!

But for the Armegedon game mode, it wouldn't be that hard to play… You would just need a fairly long amount of playing time and a larger board! I think it would be a pretty cool sight to see what people could do if they used every unit available to them!

How many SSU tanks, and super-heavy walkers, would we see? Egad Brain!

I would love for such an expansion, I allways enjoy large battle and I frequently house full weekend battles at my place, a lot of fun as the entire group can join in with plenty of snacks, drinks and movies playing in the background.

I can't wait to see all of that on a great looking battlefield, how I wish to have such a force at my disposal but one day I shall.

So are there any plans to make this dust armeddon somewhat balanced or is it in the end just going to end up with throwing all your junk on the table and try to play with it.

Yes, I'm writing up rules for it, I have some stuff posted on dust-war's forum as its preliminary stuff and I can edit posts long after writing them.

I'm very interested in seeing your take on it, I'm pondering myself about making a walker battlegroup that would allow at these larger points battle to have more walkers in it, set up along the same lines as the normal platoon but then with having all of your sections filled with walkers and tanks.
