Aside from playing a psyker or sorcerer archetype, is there any way to gain the Psyker trait while remaining unaligned?

Not as of yet, no. Which IMO is perfectly fine, because psyking stuff is (not entirely surprisingly) the Psyker archetype's shtick. Other people muscling in on that rather cheapens the archetype.

There is also the option of playing the heretek/psyker hybrid archetype from Tome of Fate. Without the book handy, I don't recall the name. They begin as unbound, but there are more limits on their maximum psy rating than with most psykers.

Idolitrex Magos of Forge Polix.

No wonder you couldn't remember the name…
