My first question concerns the Elan ability "Natural Mystic" gained from Erebus.  How do the wise people of this forum believe this ability works?  It reads that it provides the character knowledge of all Innate magic spells equal to his Elan level and provides two times his Elan level in Zeon per day with which to cast them.  It doesn't say if this follows the normal rules for casting magic (accumulation and such), if this Zeon regenerates at the normal speed ( Character's Magic Accumulation a day) or if it follows its own rules and refreshes every day?   It's a bit vague and I'm wanting to get clarification.

Second question concerns the Free Access Spell "Innate Magic".  It states that it increases the Innate magic potential of an area by 30 points.  I have a player who wants to center the spell on himself and raise his innate magic by 30 at all times, allowing him to throw out attack spells like crazy for no cost.  Do you guys think this was the intention with this spell?

Third, I have another player who keeps trying to get me to make all magic that affects another character (even Spiritual and Effect spells) visible to normal people.  He seems to believe that it is imbalanced that Effect spells aren't visible.  I'm of the opinion that all those spells give a Magic Resistance check.  Therefore, you really aren't supposed to be able to roll a defense against them easily.  I don't see why a Mage would have to spend the slowest replenishing resource in the game for something that his enemy gets two chances to defend against.  He's actually better off just spellbombing everything with damage under those rules, and I don't want that.

For #3, I am not sure why a person would have to make 2 resistance checks if the spell effects were visible.

Well, if he can see the spell, he gets a Defense check versus the Mage's Magic Projection to avoid the spell, then makes a Magic Resistance check if it affects him.

For #1, my take would be that those Zeon don't recover with his usual recovery.  They're just completely replenished the following day.  Accumulation-wise though, I'd guess he'd have to accumulate them like normal.

As far as #1 is concerned, if it bothers to refer to it as "Innate magic" then it would be logical that you wouldn't have to accumulate for it, as per how actual innate magic works. IMO they included that distinction for a reason. Also, I would suspect that each day the total would replenish.

Edit: Looked up #2, and the answer is yes. He can maintain the spell centered on him and it will give him that effect. But then again, what do you expect from a level 90-100 free access spell? All the other spells that high are of similar power level. The problem does not lie in the spell itself, it is clearly marked as being powerful. If you find it too disrupting, ask the player to exchange it. I had to do this once with a guy who was abusing magic prism at level 1, and once again with another player who was messing with chimera. Magic is a crazy power, and if you and your players aren't on the same level, then **** can get out of hand really fast.

#1 has been answered pretty well and I agree, it is a pool they can use each day (as the example pointed out: with 80 Elan they would have 160 Zeon Points to use everyday). The accumulation is a different question, I would say it is innate and does not need to be accumulated, but I do not know for sure.

#2 This is generally the point of the spell, and as high of a level spell it is this is not all that ridiculous.

#3 No the spells are not visible while being flung through the air. This is expressly stated in the Types of Spells section on page 114. These spells are also, normally, invisible while affecting the target. That is why the 'See Supernatural' Advantage exists. Also the Magic Appraisal skill exists to identify people with The Gift, and see what spells are affecting people/things. It would lose most of its purpose if these spells were clearly visible and obvious.
