I need some help to identify the use of a card: Queen's Knight. I've found a lot of jumper decks using that card. Of couse a tricon jumper is nice to have, but I feel it's quite to expensive to bring it out every round. The new Magister Illyrio is a card, which benefits of jumpers, but I've found no other cards. So am I blind? I I don't see the advantage of paying every round instead of paying one round without a responce effect like for example Dragon Thief. Maybe you could clear these things up to me?
You're right, it is a little expensive, so it's beneficial to run it in a deck with a lot of influence. I only run it in my Knights of the Hollow Hill deck, but only 1-2 (probably just 1).
There are a few uses you can get out of it:
- Play with Lady Daenerys's Chambers to recur good 2-3 cost attachments such as Dragon Skull and Flame-Kissed. During Marshalling you can get him back and recur every turn.
- If you have a lot of influence, you can do a challenge with him, jump in another character such as Dragon Thief, and ambush him in again to have him ready to go for another challenge. Maegister Illyrio makes this much more worth it, but still expensive.
- In general, a surprise tri-con is nothing to scoff at in terms of sheer flexibility during challenges, however, he isn't useful against stealth.
