Hi all!

even though Yepesnopes is our man for the Elven Kin here, i also made an approach on the dark elves in particular since my new campaign will end in a pretty big clusterfuck of a fight with elves summoning a beholder...

i'd like to show you the beholder here and the dark elve necromancer, if you would like to see more, just tell me, i can also send you the strange eons files

sorry for typos for now, i'm not yet totally finished with them, atm i'm trying to find approriate action for them.
i made the cards with the liber fanatica supplement for strange eons, unfortunately they don't have a creature card, so i took the location cards instead...

also these cards have no aggression/cunning/expertise budget since i normally don't use those like in the rulebook

i hope you enjoy, i'm looking forward to feedback!

Edit: for now i have the beholder, the necromancer, the witch-queen, the mutated human slaves, the warrior, and a summoned creature

Very nice artwork. I am looking forward to see more of these Dark Elves npc's, it can be nice to have more, may be I can then finally start a campaign based in Ulthuan (at the end I am always very lazy to do it).

You must know though, that there is indeed a NPC card in strange eons for WFRPG 3rd ed, and a very nice one by the way. Check here that you have the last version of the plugins.

Cheers

thx there, i just did not see the NPC card there, so i revised them.

now i am done with some actions intended on the NPCs.

the whole adventure is based on the characters getting to Ulthuan for healing a "mark of khrone" the dwarf slayer got. i know, PCs can't really get those, but our dwarf slayer seemed to be begginng for it for 2 adventures now. he is just a bloodlusty guy willing to do anything for a good kill. so i gave him a little adventure hook. he received a weapon from a stranger, which feels just right in his hands. with it he feels he could conquer the WORLD! and the player himself did not realize it was an enchanted weapon, made by a chaos cult of khrone. they are atm dragging him into the cult a little, offering him free skill trainings and such.
so now he is  a little infested with the NPCs in the cult. the weapon is showing it's effect and i use the bloodtracker of "liber carnagia" for this one. once he is on a specific mark his "strange scar" he woke up one day, "(haped in the form of khorne's symbol), will turn into  a mark of khrone.

and the elves of the empire will, in this adventure, be the only ones to be able to cure a mark of chaos.

if anyone wants, i can get you the adventure hook and the story line explaining all this (i admit, pretty strange matter)! ;-)

for the cards: those cards are, for now, only for a big final battle against the dark elf kin, as from up there we will have a new GM with a new story line, which i might post another time, as soon as i know how well players liked it, since it is actually a very specific idea which involves another mythology and another world of gamplay
card design: actions are not reckless or conservative themselves. i'm just a little lazy so any action given on the cards is exercised in the stance given on the NPC card approriate to it. i determined the traits for the specific kind of dark elf.

from my next post on i'll be giving you all i got for now, if any are intrested in more i am of course willing to expand the dark elf topic, since i am very fond of thhis kind of enemy, since there are, to me, the most diverse enemy diven. Dark Elves are just evil, and since they are elves, they are as good as magic as they are in combat, so that makes them the best nemesis ever!

so, if you need any further detail on the stuff in following posts, just PM me!

i hope you enjoy the stuff i'll be posting!

The actions for the Dark Elf Witch Queen are missing, all i can see is a lil box saying this picture has been moved or deleted. Very nice work and beautiful art, I might use bits of these myself but making them more inline with the Warhammer Dark Elf Canon, rather than i  am guessing FR Drow►►

Many thanks Crimsonsun

so, we have finally had our last big final encounter and it turned out NOTHING like i intended it to…

that evening i had 8 players with all combat-oriented careers. and thus the monsters were WAY too weak for them. they all could have had alot more TO and wounds. but since i did not change anything as i thought that 25 foes would be a hard time for even those 8 PCs it was a very short fight.

the players had found out earlier that the mutated slave would flee as soon as their master is struck down because they had a little encounter with them earlier. so they focused primarily on one target, of which they thougt he would be the leader of the warriors, and by chance they really took the right one..*dang* ;-)

the only thing that intimidated them were the dark summon and the necromancers who resurrected the creature twice. but still, with a flagellant and a dwarf slayer hacking through to them they had no real chance of survival.

but despite all their efforts, the which queen managed to summon the beholder and right after that disapeared through a strange gate (kinda like a stargate actually) together with her which elves.
the dwarf slayer finally saw the opponent he was always looking for to have a glorious death against and so he stayed behind to fight the creature and the others slipped thourgh the gate aswell shortly before it closed. (he had to, since he is now our new GM ;-) )

alas now the players find themselves in a new world, a world without chaos with actually nice people in it….they stepped through a gate into the world of "the dark eye", into aventuria. (our new GM was one of the best GMs i had ever seen for TDE so we figured it would be best to let him master a game in that world again)
if anyone would like to know more about this story i'm happy to post a new thread with the whole deal in it. (the PCs will now actually bring chaos into the world of aventuria and bring it close to destruction - hillarity never stops!!!)

but back to the topic: if you would like to use my cards: make the dark elfs a little stronger, they need it! we don't want them to fall on the first hit, do we?!

Great job!

the only thing it bugs me is that i feel your Dark Elves too… chaos followers. Maybe if you place them like pleassure cult? Remember that Dark Elves do not worship the chaos gods, they actually worship the elven pantheon, primarily Khaine (which can be related to Khorne, but that again, is like saying that a Athenea worshipper worships by  relation Odin… not the same ;) )

great idea for the continuity of your campaing, by the way, excellent story line, i may add!

While Khaine is the offical god of the Dark Elves. Some of the Dark Elves also worship Slaanesh.  From Lore sites

The Cult of Pleasure, led by Morathi, played a major role in the Sundering of the Elves of Ulthuan, but was considered heretical after the founding of Naggaroth and was brutally suppressed as the worship of Khaine became prevalent. Centuries passed, and the Cult grew stronger in the shadows and secret places of the six cities.

Their is rivalery between the Cults of Khaine and the cult of slaanesh. According to lore, the Dark Elves are close to a cival war over this issue.

Malekith (The Dark Elf Witch King) hates chaos and Slaanesh, his Mother Morathi runs the Cult of Slaanesh. Hellebron, the current leader of the Cult of Khaine and Morathi's chief rival, who has begun to gather the Cult of Khaine to confront Morathi and her Slanneshi allies.  The funny thing is Morathi founded the Cult of Khaine.

None of the spells or abilities listed, couldnt be used by a Dark Elf Sorcerer.as far as I see. Especially one loyal to Slaanesh, what with a large tentacled beast been created. Since you have her as a Witch Queen, you could throw in some elite dark elven guards. Witch elves , Assassins. I dont know about the dark elf Black Gaurd, they may only be acessible to the Witch KIng.

Could could have that each time the beast is ressurected it gains some form of undead ability, fear, terror, poison, curse, stoneskinned etc. To show the corrupting influence of chaos making it weaker in health but tougher to kill in other areas. Or have tentacles burst from the group and try to grapple the players.

Has not the Cleave action card a too high difficulty for what it does?

Other action cards like Two Cuts, Trail of Devastation, Run Amok or Whirlwind have similar effects and are much more easy to perform.

Cheers,

Yepes

Well, althought is true, it´s not quite "darkelvish". As you stated, the cult of Slaneesh is ilegal in the druchii society, as much so, as it is hunted, pretty much as witch hunters burn witches in the empire. Effectivelly, Morathi is the center piece of the cult, the prime follower, and she "hide" her ways even from Malekith.

But Darkelves don´t only follow or Khaine or Slaanesh, there are a lot of minor gods in the pantheon, and they follow them all. (See the dark elf armybook, there are a lot of gods written there, giving them some fluff, and letting us know that this culture of politheistic sadistic dudes are still politheistic, and not, monotheistic after the Sundering).
