Louisville Warhammer Invasion LCG Deck Swap Tournament

Get ready to rock out with your box out! Valentine's Day is coming early with the Louisville Warhammer Invasion Tournament Deck Swap Tournament!

We will have a swinging good time as each participant explores the carnal pleasures of another player's cardboard concubine.

Deck boxes and keys will be placed in the center of the table. Keys will randomly be assigned to each deck. Players will then take the deck their keys have been placed next to and slowly and tenderly uncover the deep secrets that lie within the recesses of the night's new mistress.

After the two of you have had a few minutes to get acquainted is when the fun really starts. Each player will then attempt to quench their inner thirst for passion through victory with the evening's evanescent escort. At the end of the night each player will be returned to their truelove and the top 2 players, in a display of unbridled ecstasy, will attempt to dominate in the intimate art of Warhammering.

This is sure to be the most titillating event of the year so clear your calendars and prime your decks for a night that your neighbors will be whispering about for years to come!

We played the same mode on Stahleck with around 16 players. One conclusion I drawed from it is, that you probably should run a swiss tournament on players AND decks. Otherwise winning might be only dependent on deck luck.
Plan for next year is:
Running Swiss 1 on player pairings.
Runnings Swiss 2 on decks.
After pairings are assigned, the tables get swissed decks in reverse order. (so good player will get bad decks and bad players good ones).
This should provide fairer and more exciting pairings.
After the rounds the swiss points from both runnings are added, so a player gets point for his playing and his deck (to get player to bring good decks).

@jogo Thanks for the advice! I just had a chance to read your post and really like your idea. It's a little late for me to change it for this time, but will definitely keep that in mind for the next tournament!

In the meantime, I've decided to sweeten the prize pot with some sexy, upskirt action card sleeves!

Oh yes these sexy, yet tasteful, angels can be brandished on your printed pretties after proving your Warhammering abilities! Sign up today, the tournament is only a week away!

One of the things that really surprised me about this tournament is how much variety there was.  With only seven players, we had all six capital boards being used.   I was also impressed by how much variety there was in deck design.  For example both chaos decks were radically different.  It could be this tournament is the exception rather than the rule, but it seems there is a lot more diversity in the game than these forums seem to indicate.

I really appreciate the complement Sean! We pride ourselves on trying new types of decks. What's the point in net decking an LCG? Deck building is half the fun right?

Thanks for having us out to this Steve. I enjoyed myself, despite doing poorly in the tourney itself. Got a chance to play 13 games of Invasion! That is just awesome!
