Since there is substantial difference between spells in original anima rulebook and Core Exxet, I decided to translate them for English-speaking users. I didn't translate the text, but pointed out only mayor differencies between the original text and the new one. As you can easily understand the process is pretty much time-consuming, so at the moment I've only translated the Book of Light (it was the first one, after all). If the community is interested, I'll try to find time to do more. Unfortunately tables are not "taken" from the copy-paste on the forum...but you should still be able to use the following...

 I have to say, this is an excellent post.

I had no idea the spells had such a revamp with the introduction of the Core Exxet. And I much prefer it! As much as I love the system in the current English iteration of the rule book, having just four basic 'levels of power' makes book keeping a much simpler task. I'd certainly love to see the other books of magic translated, but I imagine it is a very time consuming process and just having this to see the changes between the current Spanish edition and our slightly older version is great.

it looks to me that the only change they have made is simplifying the increases in the spell levels/costs.  Was there any change in the effects of the spells?

It's my understanding all they did was simplify it and therefore decrease the options of the caster, weakening them quite a bit. I don't like it but it would streamline wizard turns I suppose.

I believe magic still works just fine...

There are actually a few changes...not too much, but where I noticed them, I added a note. Oh, and both Ascention and Dark Ascention now have maintenance PER TURN not daily...making a BIG difference.

I will translate the rest...give me time...I've already started translating Dark Magic...but it requires time...and I shold also work, you know...but it will all be done.

The new system is better than old, because the maintenance is based on the effect rather than Zeon invested to cast the spell.

Alright, so now it's been updated with a Air and a few formatting changes.

Eratta:
Changed "Ki Occultation" to "Ki Detection" in Dark's level 32 and 36 spells. It's what's used in the English Books.
Changed the misspelling of Damage in a spell (can't remember what it was.)
Added the NOTE for the wake in Lord of Nightmares.
Removed the same NOTE from Weather Control.

And a question: Is Passive Magic's Req. Int supposed to be "12 12 14 16"?
